Shaquille O'Neal has shared a heartfelt message for newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after revealing he and longtime friend Charles Barkley didn't receive an invitation to the couple's lavish wedding.
The NBA icon, 54, was asked about Taylor and Travis' star-studded July 3 wedding while attending Fanatics Fest at New York City's Javits Center on Friday, July 17. Shaq jokingly reacted to missing out on the highly anticipated ceremony, sharing his take on the nuptials.
He joked, looking deadpan at the camera, “No. Thanks, Taylor. Thanks, Travis.” Then he offered the newlyweds a more touching message. Speaking to people, he simply said, “May it last forever.”

Taylor, 36, and Travis, 36, tied the knot on July 3 during a lavish ceremony at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden. Around 1,000 guests attended the celebration, with stars including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, and Dakota Johnson among those witnessing the couple exchange vows.
After the pair were officially pronounced husband and wife, fans gathered outside the venue were treated to a special surprise as the arena's giant jumbotrons lit up with the message "JUST&T MARRIED!"

The wedding marked a major milestone in the couple's whirlwind romance, which first began in 2023. Travis famously revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had tried to give the Grammy-winning singer a friendship bracelet during one of her Eras Tour concerts, with the pair later beginning a relationship away from the spotlight.
They confirmed their romance in September 2023 when Taylor attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game, cheering on Travis from a private suite alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. The pair later announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26, 2025, sharing a series of photos from a romantic garden proposal.

While Shaq joked about not making the guest list, the basketball Hall of Famer has previously been candid about his own experiences with marriage. He married Shaunie Nelson in 2002, and the couple welcomed four children together before divorcing in 2011.
He is also the father of daughter Taahirah with former girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh and helped raise Shaunie's son, Myles, from a previous relationship. Reflecting on the breakdown of his marriage during a 2022 appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Shaq accepted full responsibility.

He said, “She did exactly what she was supposed to do and gave me beautiful kids, take care of the house, take care of the corporate stuff. It was just all me. Sometimes, when you make a lot of mistakes like that, you can’t really come back from that.”
The former NBA star also praised his ex-wife, insisting there was no blame on her part. He explained further, “She was awesome, she really was. It was all me."
