Rosé's confidence never snapped across *RuPaul's Drag Race* season 13, but the Scottish lass' dainty, delicate ankles that carried her through to the finale ultimately buckled after a spin with Denali.

"It was over three months ago, now. I was actually dancing with Denali, and I tripped and landed on my foot the wrong way. It really f---ed me!" Rosé says in the latest episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast (below, and on Spotify now) about the final lip-sync against Kandy Muse that sent her home. "My physical therapist and I thought it was going to be a couple of weeks, but the injury just never got better because it was sprained in a stiletto, and the position of being in high heels is just really traumatic."

The New York City queen first revealed the injury in a discussion with RuPaul on Friday's season 13 closer, but competed against Kandy in a Britney Spears-themed lip-sync smackdown despite the pain after telling the Emmy-winning host that "nothing" could stop her from vying for the crown.

She was ultimately sent home as a runner-up, and says her foot still hasn't fully healed.

"I'm almost better, but that finale was the first time that I was able to get on a real pair of heels. My looks for the ball, we were constantly redesigning, stressing out if I could wear heels at all," she explains. "It was stressful and I definitely think it impacted my journey. To be honest, when RuPaul was like, 'Rosé, this is not your time,' I was like, 'No s---, bitch!'" This has been f---ing crazy! I had to learn how to walk again! But, I'm so proud of what happened and I wouldn't change it. It's all good."

Kandy admits that going up against such a seasoned competitor was no easy task: "I don't think she would've beat me with a good ankle or not," Kandy says with a laugh, "but, she was putting up a fight!"

- The news comes as Ice Cube works to make a fourth and final *Friday*.

Ice Cube and Nia Long are indeed not be done yet.

Almost 20 years after starring together in the sequel *Are We Done Yet?*, the duo are reuniting for a third installment in the *Are We There Yet?* franchise, ** has confirmed.

"This should be fun," Long wrote on social media.

Penned by Chris Hazzard and Mike Fontana, *Are They Gone Yet?* will find Ice Cube's former child-hating Nick Persons facing a scary new challenge: grandkids.

Released in 2005, *Are We There Yet?* followed Nick as he began dating a single mother, Suzanne (Long), and ends up needing to take her mischievous kids (Aleisha Allen and Philip Daniel Bolden) on a road trip from hell. After an almost $100 million gross, a sequel arrived two years later, with *Are We Done Yet?* picking up with Nick and Suzanne married and working to build their dream home in the countryside.

The films were then adapted into a 2010 sitcom, *Are We There Yet?*, which ran for three seasons on TBS and featured Terry Crews and Essence Atkins stepping in as Nick and Suzanne.

The third *Are We There Yet?* comes as Ice Cube continues to push for a fourth and final *Friday* film. In 2024, he revealed that there was "some traction" at Warner Bros. for *Last Friday*. And then, last month, Ice Cube and Mike Epps confirmed that a revival of the stoner classic was happening and would focus on the gentrification of South Central L.A. They even added that original star Chris Tucker, who sat out the two sequels, "wants to come back."

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Heavy rain and thunderstorms prompted a rare World Cup weather delay on Monday, when the halftime break during a match between France and Iraq lasted 2 hours, 10 minutes.

It was the first rain delay of the tournament and the first time in at least several decades that a World Cup match was delayed midgame because of inclement weather. Halftime began at 5:50 p.m. EDT and the game resumed at 8 p.m. — 1 hour, 55 minutes longer than the scheduled 15-minute halftime break.

France played through the rain and muck to beat Iraq 3-0 behind two goals from Kylian Mbappé.

"It's a question of safety," France coach Didier Deschamps said. "You can't fight against rain and lightning. We will stick to the local laws. We have to adapt. These are very special circumstances, and I do hope they will not happen again."

There was also heavy rain ahead of Monday night's game between Norway and Senegal in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which started on time.

With France leading 1-0 at halftime, scoreboard messages directed the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field to take shelter in the stadium's covered areas, warning that a severe storm was on the way. Sheets of rain fell through halftime as thousands of fans huddled in the concourse and under balconies.

The stoppage was initially expected to extend the halftime break by 15 minutes. As the delay dragged on, stadium officials announced that "the game will resume when deemed safe."

The teams returned to the field to warm up after about 1 hour, 40 minutes, prompting cheers from the crowd. Crews used squeegees to push standing water toward the sideline of the swampy field.

A rule used by FIFA pauses games for 30 minutes if lightning is detected within 8 miles. Each strike resets the clock.

France and Iraq played through a downpour that started in the 37th minute. Fans donned ponchos and most stayed in their seats until they were told to find shelter at halftime.

"I think that's out of our control, so we just needed to adapt, and I think we did that pretty well," French defender Jules Kounde said.

France scored twice in the second half, which did not include the much-debated hydration break that was added for this tournament.

"I think it's the first time I experienced it in football as a coach or a player," Iraq coach Graham Arnold said of the delay. "It obviously made it much harder for the players. I told the players, who's going to switch on mentally?"

FIFA long had a reputation for continuing matches even through extreme weather. A 2014 game between the U.S. and Germany continued in Brazil even after torrential downpour that flooded parts of the surrounding city.

World Cup regulations do not specify weather conditions that would prompt a delay to the start of matches or an interruption. However, the regulations say "in the case of a match being abandoned as a result of force majeure after it has already kicked off … the match shall recommence at the minute at which play was interrupted rather than being replayed in full, and with the same scoreline."

The golfer was heckled by members of the crowd as he tried to hang on to his lead

"Man, they definitely didn't want me to win," Clark told reporters

As Wyndham Clark hoisted the U.S. Open trophy for the second time in four years, he heard it from the fans — and it wasn't pretty.

"New York didn't really like me," Clark, 32, said after besting the field over four days in a one-stroke, wire-to-wire finish.

Throughout his round on Sunday, June 21, fans heckled the golfer as he saw his six-stroke lead nearly evaporate amid the tough course and windy conditions at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island.

Fans yelled at him to "don't choke" and cheered when his shots hit the rough — which they did throughout Sunday's contest in which he finished with a 3-over-par.

It was only when Sam Burns couldn't capitalize on two birdies on the 17th and 18th holes that Clark was able to take a deep breath and clinch the victory.

"Man, they definitely didn't want me to win," Clark told reporters afterwards. "It's pretty rare in an Open Championship or a major to have fans kind of boo against your shots or cheer for bad shots. I mean, that was tough, but sometimes being the underdog is nice."

It didn't help that fan favorite and No. 1 golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler, was Clark's playing partner in the last round. Scheffler, who turned 30 on Sunday, was looking to clinch golf's Grand Slam — and had been picking up steam after a slow start on Thursday.

But even Scheffler was seemingly surprised about the sentiment coming from the gallery.

"The crowd was tough today," Scheffler told reporters. "New Yorkers, they are tough people. There was a good turnout from the fans. You like seeing the fans cheer for you. I think sometimes it can get a little too much when balls are kind of going off greens and you start hearing cheers. That felt a bit much to me. But at the end of the day, I can't control fan behavior."

For Clark — who works with a sports psychologist and was required to undergo anger management therapy after trashing a locker room at last year's U.S. Open at Oakmont — he understands where some of the animosity is coming from.

Follow your favorite athletes on and off the field with PEOPLE's free sports newsletter — sign up now!

"But I get it. Some of it's self deserved," he said. "I did some unfortunate things last year that I really regret, and I've said sorry multiple times, and I'm still sorry. So, hopefully, I can win you guys over eventually."

Not even Dominic Toretto could jump a car across the distance between the original *The Fast and the Furious* (2001) and *Fast X* (2023).

Named after (but not based on) a vintage hot rod movie from 1954,* The Fast and the Furious* is a gritty, street-level crime action-drama film that features exhilarating racing scenes designed to appeal to gearheads everywhere. As the franchise evolved, however, it took a hard left turn into spectacle, arguably culminating with *F9*'s trip to outer space.

In other words, the franchise has come a long way since Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) first crossed paths. Things last left off with *Fast X*’s explosive cliffhanger, which left virtually every main character in danger and featured some surprising returns. Since then, *Fast & Furious* has been stuck in a bit of a holding pattern as development on the eleventh installment — expected to be the last in the main series — has hit some speed bumps.

Currently titled *Fast Forever*, the eleventh movie has, at various points, held release dates in 2025 and 2026. Universal has now scheduled it for March 17, 2027. *Fast X *director Louis Leterrier will be back behind the camera for the movie, which, according to Diesel, will return to the series’ roots.

In an Instagram post teasing the finale, the actor highlighted *Fast Forever*’s ties to the original film. “And when you find out you're going back to Los Angeles… back to the streets where it all began, something clicks into place,” he wrote. “The city that made the first film feel alive, still here, still holding. Coming home to close it out right. That's not logistics. That's a gift.”

June 22 marks the 25th anniversary of *The Fast and the Furious*. Though the tone and overall story has changed drastically, the core cast remains intact, with Diesel’s Dom serving as the glue that holds the entire family together. In honor of this milestone anniversary, ** is looking back at the stars who made this series possible.

Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto)

When *The Fast and the Furious* hit theaters in the summer of 2001, Vin Diesel was just beginning his career as an action hero. He gained experience in tearjerkers *Saving Private Ryan *(1998) and *The Iron Giant* (1999), followed by his first big starring role in *Pitch Black *(2000), where he played the movie's brooding anti-hero, Riddick. But it was the one-two punch (pun totally intended) of *The* *Fast and the Furious *and *XXX *(2002) that made him the famous muscleman we know him as today.

Diesel has since appeared in sequels of *Pitch Black *and *XXX* and joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the voice of *Guardians of the Galaxy**'*s lovable tree-man Groot. He's even taken on more serious roles in recent years, like his performance as a fallen soldier in Ang Lee's film *Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk *(2016).

But his greatest loyalty has been to the* Fast and Furious *films. Ironically, Diesel told EW he almost dropped out of the first movie due to the initial script, but screenwriter David Ayer collaborated with Diesel on a rewrite, and together they made his character far more complex. The rest is history, as the actor is now an outspoken cheerleader for the franchise and has been involved on multiple levels as a producer of many movies and as the director of the *F&F *short film *Los Bandoleros *(2009). Hey, he said he was all about family...

Paul Walker (Brian O'Conner)

Paul Walker as Brian O'Conner in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Walker at a 'Fast & Furious' event

Paul Walker's life and career were tragically cut short on Nov. 30, 2013, when he died in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif., at the age of 40. His castmates said goodbye to him at the end of *Furious 7* (2015) in an emotional scene where Dom and Brian drive together down a coastal highway before splitting off onto different roads. For those shots, Walker's brother Caleb stood in as a body double, and Paul's face was added with CGI.

Before his breakthrough role as undercover-cop-turned-street-racer Brian O'Conner, Walker got his start on the soap *The Young and the Restless, *followed by supporting parts in the teen movies *Varsity Blues *and *She's All That *in 1999. Once the racing franchise (and his career) took off in 2001, Walker was a devoted member of the* Fast and Furious* family, returning for every sequel with the exception of 2006's *The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift**.*

Between *F&F *films, he also starred in a series of thriller and crime B-movies such as *Timeline* (2003), where he played an archaeologist who goes back in time to 14th-century France, along with Clint Eastwood's *Flags of Our Fathers *and the sled dog drama *Eight Below *in 2006.

But* F&F *was never the same without Walker. "We've felt the loss," Diesel told *ET** *in 2016, referring to the cast. "The last three years have been some of the hardest of my life because of losing my brother like that." Though he's no longer with us, his memory lives on in many ways. His daughter, Meadow, made a cameo in *Fast X*, and Diesel has hinted that *Fast Forever *will bring back Brian in some form.

Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto)

The globe-trotting Jordana Brewster spent her childhood living between London, Rio de Janeiro, and New York City. It was in the latter that she attended theater school and got her start in soap operas before landing her first lead part in the sci-fi horror flick *The Faculty* (1998). But it was her role as Dom's sister, Mia Toretto, that made her a star.

After *The Fast and the Furious*, Brewster starred in a string of movies like *D.E.B.S. *(2004),* The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning *(2006), and Justin Lin's *Annapolis* (2006). Lin, who helmed five of the *F&F *films, also directed Brewster in her big comeback to the series in *Fast & Furious* (2009), the fourth movie in the franchise, where she again teamed up with Dom and got back together with her ex, Brian. She's expected to return for *Fast Forever*.

Since then, Brewster has spent most of her career with her *F&F* family or in recurring roles on TV, with her two longest gigs being TNT's* Dallas* reboot and the TV version of *Lethal Weapon* on Fox. In 2025, she also got another meaty role on the big screen in the romantic slasher *Heart Eyes.*

Michelle Rodríguez (Letty Ortiz)

Michelle Rodriguez's first movie roles in *Girlfight *(2000) and *The Fast and the Furious* set the tone for the rest of her career. In both of those films, she plays tough, streetwise gals who don't take any crap but *could* beat the crap out of you if they felt like it.

And she's continued to portray similar characters, appearing as cops (*S.W.A.T.*), soldiers (*Resident Evil, Avatar, Battle: Los Angeles*), revolutionaries (*Machete,* *Machete Kills)*, and bank robbers (*Widows*) over the course of her long and successful career. Even her character on* **Lost**,* Ana Lucia Cortez, was an ex-cop with rage issues.

One of Rodriguez's most unusual roles is in the trippy indie horror movie *She Dies Tomorrow *(2020), where she plays a depressed young woman named Sky who's oddly unfazed when a stranger covered in blood arrives at her door. Her two most recent cinematic roles were *Fast X *and *Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves* (2023), where she played the barbarian Holga Kilgore. She'll almost certainly be back to close out Letty's story in *Fast Forever*.

Chad Lindberg (Jesse)

Chad Lindberg as Jesse in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Lindberg at a Paramount+ event

Chad Lindberg — who plays Jesse, the anti-establishment computer wiz of Dom's crew — has done everything from beloved films like *October Sky *(1999) to one-off roles on shows like *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* and* Law & Order*.

On TV, he's known for his work on* **Supernatural**,* where he played another computer genius — mulleted Harvelle's Roadhouse resident Ash — from 2005-2010. In the movies, his biggest post-*Furious *gig was as Matthew, a member of the group of creeps who get their comeuppance in the remake* I Spit on Your Grave *(2010). He also played a role in Kevin Coster's Western epic *Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 2* (2024) and recently appeared in several episodes of Peacock's *The 'Burbs*.

As a child, Lindberg nearly died from complications of Reye's Syndrome, and he's been obsessed with ghosts ever since. He turned that passion into practice as a paranormal investigator on *Ghost Adventures *in 2012 and by hosting the miniseries *Ghost Stalkers *in 2014.

Johnny Strong (Leon)

Johnny Strong as Leon in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Strong today

Johnny Strong came to the role of Leon, a member of Dom's racing crew, as a trained martial artist. (Strong has studied judo, jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, and Jeet Kune Do.) So it may come as a surprise that he hasn't been in many martial arts movies — his roles tend to lean more towards soldiers, cops, and criminals, as seen in projects like the Sylvester Stallone action flick *Get Carter* (2000), *Black Hawk Down* (2001), and *Sinners and Saints* (2010), among others.

Acting is just one of Strong's creative hats: He also started the post-grunge rock band Operator, with whom he's recorded seven albums. Strong makes music under his own name as well and composed the scores for three of his films. In recent years, he's also gotten into crafting weapons and has been featured on the cover of *Blade *magazine — twice.

Matt Schulze (Vince)

Matt Schulze as Vince in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Schulze today

Matt Schulze as Vince in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Schulze today. Everett Collection; Getty Images

In *The Fast and the Furious,* Matt Schulze plays Dom's childhood friend Vince, a.k.a. the loudmouth bruiser in the sleeveless T-shirt who threatens to beat up Paul Walker at the beginning of the film. In real life, Schulze is more of a Renaissance man who trained as a musician and worked as a model before taking on his role in the burgeoning franchise.

His resume is eclectic as well. Schulze had a successful run as an action star in the late '90s and 2000s, appearing in* **Blade** *(1998), *Blade II* (2002), *The Transporter *(2002), and *Torque* (2004), as well as *The Fast and the Furious*. In 2008, he wrote, directed, and starred in the spy thriller *The Acquirer* before returning to the family in *Fast Five* (2011).

Since then, he's appeared in the Johnny Knoxville vehicle *Action Point* (2018) and 2025's *Transference*.

Rick Yune (Johnny Tran)

Rick Yune as Johnny Tran in 'The Fast and the Furious'; Yune today

A pioneering force who led the way for future generations of Asian American actors, Rick Yune played Vietnamese gang leader Johnny Tran in *The Fast and the Furious* (Yune himself is Korean American). He followed the film's success with another notable villain turn, this time facing off against James Bond in *Die Another Day* (2002) as Zao, a North Korean terrorist with piercing blue eyes and a face full of diamonds (literally, the gems are embedded in his face).

Yune is often cast as a villain, playing baddies in *Ninja Assassin *(2009), Netflix's *Marco Polo *(2014-2016), and *Olympus Has Fallen* (2013), where he portrayed *another *North Korean terrorist. He played a more heroic role in RZA's martial arts epic *The Man With the Iron Fists *(2012), wherein he whipped out his Olympic-level taekwondo training. But to first break out as a lead actor, he had to write his own starring role in *The Fifth Commandment* (2008), a *John Wick*-esque story about an assassin under fire from his pissed-off colleagues.

One of Yune's more recent projects was *Alita: Battle Angel* (2019), where he played the cyborg warrior Master Clive Lee. Michelle Rodríguez also appears in the movie in a small role as Alita's mentor, making the film a mini-*Furious* reunion. Yune also made a cameo at the end of the Indian film *L2: Empuraan *(2025), which sets up a larger role for him in the in-development sequel.

Ted Levine (Sgt. Tanner)

Ted Levine's most famous role came long before he was cast as Brian O'Conner's boss, Sgt. Tanner, in* The Fast and the Furious.* Although he looks completely different in the two movies, if you squint, you'll realize that Levine also played serial killer Jame Gumb, a.k.a. Buffalo Bill, in the multi-Oscar winner *The Silence of the Lambs* (1991).

Once you get over the shock, it might take another minute to recognize Levine as mustachioed police captain Leland Stottlemeyer on the acclaimed series *Monk**,* or as the similarly groomed NYPD Commissioner Thomas Byrnes on TNT's *The Alienist*.

After that, don't be surprised if you see his face pop up in just about anything: Levine has appeared in almost 100 films and TV shows over the course of his career, covering everything from prestige dramas like *Shutter Island* (2010) to big-name blockbusters like *Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom* (2018). Most recently, he popped up on the Netflix series *Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen*, playing the father to Adam DiMarco's groom. He also appeared on Apple TV's *Cape Fear*.

Thom Barry (Agent Bilkins)

Though one of his first film roles was playing Michael Jordan's dad in *Space Jam** *(1996), Thom Barry soon became a go-to character actor for authority figures (think cops, judges, and military men). He plays to this strength in* The Fast and the Furious *as FBI Agent Bilkins, who simply can't wait any longer for Brian to break the racing-heist case. He reprised the role in the sequel, *2 Fast 2 Furious* (2003), before taking on his longest-running and most recognizable role as Inspector Will Jeffries on the CBS police procedural *Cold Case*.

Barry appeared in 156 episodes of that series between 2003-2010, and took on a few more supporting roles after that — he's the second* Fast and Furious/Texas Chainsaw* crossover on this list after Jordana Brewster, having played Sheriff Hooper in *Texas Chainsaw 3D* (2013) — before retiring from acting in 2017. He's also a committed advocate for animal rights.

Noel Gugliemi (Hector)

Ever since his first appearance as "Latin Guy on Bicycle" in the Offspring's 1998 "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" video, Noel Gugliemi has stayed busy. He's the most prolific actor of *The Fast and the Furious *cast by far, with over 200 credits to his name. Many of those have been bit parts — with his signature shaved head and goatee, Gugliemi is a classic "that guy" character actor — although he's also done longer runs on TV series like *Mayans M.C. *and the sitcom *Fresh Off the Boat*.

Gugliemi's character on the latter was also named Hector. In fact, it's a name that's haunted him throughout his career. He's played "Hector" in eight different, unrelated projects — not to mention the time he reprised his role as* Fast and Furious'* street-racing kingpin Hector in *Furious 7* (2015). His other notable films include *Training Day *(2001) with Denzel Washington, *Street Kings *(2008) with Keanu Reeves, and *Dragged Across Concrete *(2018) with Mel Gibson.

- *Voicemails for Isabelle *writer-director Leah McKendrick says the film was inspired by several true-life events.

- A raucous set at a comedy club, her sister moving across the country, and a period of grim contemplation helped form the script.

- *Voicemails for Isabelle*, McKendrick's second feature film as a director, is currently streaming on Netflix.

Comedy, drama, trauma, and sisterly love were all thatched together to make the new Netflix romantic comedy, *Voicemails for Isabelle*.

Writer-director Leah McKendrick spoke to PEOPLE on June 20 about the various strands of inspiration she pulled on to create her second film as a director, and third as a screenwriter.

*Voicemails for Isabelle *stars Zoey Deutch as Jill, a novice baker living in San Francisco who shares a tight bond with her sister, Isabelle (Ciara Bravo), who lives in Austin. When Isabelle dies after a battle with cystic fibrosis, Jill keeps on leaving detailed voicemails about her life on her sister's phone — however they're not being sent into the void, but rather to Wes (Nick Robinson), a realtor who finds himself falling for the quirky girl on the other end of the line.

According to McKendrick, the first seed of the film was planted at a comedy club, after a pair of sets began to stir up ideas about voicemails left for recipients who may never reply.

McKendrick attended this comedy showcase over seven years ago, she told PEOPLE, where her roommate at the time performed a set about her father's long, rambling voicemails. "Then the next comedian gets on stage and she goes, 'It's so nice that your dad calls you. My dad hasn't called me in three years.' And everyone's kind of like, 'Ooh.'"

The second comedian landed the punchline that her father hasn't called because "'He's dead.' I was the only one that laughed. And then it really got the wheels turning, and I thought to myself, it's so funny, this idea of a girl who keeps waiting for her dad to call her back."

That thought kicked off a swirl of follow-ups: "Then I thought, 'If my dad dies, I won't be waiting for him to call me back because my dad doesn't call me back and he's alive.' And then I thought if my sister died, I'd be waiting for her to call me back. And then I thought, no, if my sister died, I would just keep calling her."

McKendrick then found herself in a position similar to her protagonist's, when her own sister moved to New York to attend college. She began leaving "long rambling voicemails" about "how hard it was to make it in Hollywood and how this town didn't want me," which led her to think "what a horror story it could be if somebody were to ever hear my most unfiltered self. But you would know that if somebody fell in love with that unfiltered self, it would be real."

According to the streaming data analytics tracker FlixPatrol, *Voicemails for Isabelle *is currently the No. 1 movie on Netflix, after premiering a mere three days ago.

Deutch told PEOPLE in a separate interview on June 20 that she was "very hesitant" to return to romcoms after 2018's *Set it Up*, costarring Glen Powell. But she agreed to to take on "this one was because it felt deep and about grief and about love after loss and about sisters... I feel super grateful and couldn't love this movie more."

World Cup attendees are discovering that the high costs extend far beyond tickets, flights, and accommodation, with stadium concessions presenting their own brand of sticker shock. While some offerings are undeniably extravagant, the price of a simple beer is sparking particular outrage among international fans.

Host venues are serving up a range of unique, and often pricey, culinary experiences. Miami boasts a $75 caviar-topped tray of tater tots and a $40 empanada weighing in at 5 pounds (2.2 kilograms) for the daring or for sharing in Miami. Rib-eye tacos for $8 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Something called a Twinkie cheeseburger that has nothing to do with dessert for $22 in Los Angeles.

These figures might align with what U.S. fans expect at NFL Sundays or college football Saturdays. However, many international visitors are unaccustomed to such elevated pricing, especially for beverages. Beer prices, in particular, have drawn criticism, frequently exceeding $20.

Thomas Schüller, an engineer from Germany, expressed his dismay in Toronto after purchasing a beer for 24.25 Canadian dollars (about $17 USD or 15 euros).

"It's unfair. It's not right. It's wrong," Schüller stated, adding, "It's three times the cost of what I pay in my country." Yet, when pressed on whether the price would deter him, Schüller conceded, "Well, no."

There is clearly some sticker shock among international visitors to this World Cup, especially when it comes to the concession prices. In Europe, it's not uncommon for beers to be perhaps around 4 or 5 euros (about $5-6 USD).

There's also no shortage of intrigue on the menu at the concession stands at stadiums across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

"Never seen anything like it," said Janine Arbetter, a fan from Austria, as she waited for a hot dog, chips and soda combo in Miami last week. The pre-tip price: $19.35 (about 17 euros), which included a discount for using Visa. "It's a lot of food for a little snack."

Some Argentina fans happily showed off their $34 lobster rolls from a match in Kansas City on social media, but in Toronto, the brisket sandwich with chips and a bottle of soda for nearly 40 Canadian dollars ($28) had some online commenters lamenting it as "robbery."

"It's OK, more or less, for the World Cup," German fan Daniel Feldmann said of the food prices while watching a match in Vancouver last week.

Concession offerings vary from stadium to stadium

FIFA, the sport's governing body and the tournament organizer, has very specific rules on just about everything related to the World Cup — and there are guidelines that concessionaires have to follow as well. But prices can vary by market, as do the food and drink offerings. And that means the experience in one city might look, or taste, nothing like what's offered in another.

The "Fancy AF Tots" for $75 at Miami Stadium aren't really tots at all — it's three deep-fried hash brown patties, with caviar, creme fraiche and chives. (For those who just want the caviar, it'll be $70.) Southern California's Twinkie cheeseburger is in fact a burger topped with a Texas Twinkie — a bacon-wrapped jalapeño stuffed with brisket and cream cheese.

But there's also a slew of choices specific to a local market; for example, Vancouver offers short rib poutine (an iconic Canadian dish of fries loaded with beef gravy, pulled short rib and cheese curds) along with a maple bacon smokie (smoked sausage topped with bacon onion jam that features Canadian maple syrup).

And in Miami, the signature offerings include pan con lechon (a Cuban-style sandwich with pork, infused with citrus mojo sauce and served on a toasted full Cuban loaf) and Empanada Mundial (the five-pound, handmade, chicken-and-cheese-stuffed dish named after the World Cup).

Both Vancouver and Miami have Sodexo Live as a food and beverage provider, and the typical game-day menus in both stadiums were revised a bit to accommodate a soccer crowd.

"We want it to feel like Miami when you're here," said Zach Williams, the stadium's vice president of operations. "Everything we do around the Miami Stadium, we want to make sure everybody understands that when they come here, they're getting a Miami experience."

Atlanta Stadium keeps prices low

In Mexico City, a beer could cost a day's pay — literally. The daily minimum wage in Mexico City is just 315.04 pesos (roughly $18). Some beers at Mexico City Stadium were selling for between 299 and 310 pesos — about twice as much as fans would ordinarily pay in the same stadium when the World Cup isn't in town.

But in Atlanta, where Falcons owner and stadium operator Arthur Blank promised the low concession prices he's championed for many years would hold for the World Cup, pizza slices were $3, 32-ounce sodas were $4, a cheeseburger was $5, chicken tenders with fries were $6 and beers could be had for as little as $8.

Jonathan Arango, a 33-year-old from Greenville, South Carolina, was at a match in Atlanta with his wife, daughter and father.

"In total for what we got — three orders of tacos, a slice of pizza, two waters and a Coke — we spent like $50," Arango said. "Compared to what we've paid at other events ... it's nice after you paid a lot for a ticket."

And Schüller pointed out that even though the tournament does come around every four years, it still feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"The entire football world is having fun," Schüller said, "so cheers to that."

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Mammoth have signed coach André Tourigny and assistant Blaine Forsythe to new multi-year contracts.

The Mammoth also announced Monday they have signed Adam Foote to a multi-year deal as an assistant on Tourigny's staff. Foote was fired as coach of the Vancouver Canucks on May 19.

Before the team's move to Utah, Tourigny was hired by the Arizona Coyotes in 2021 and was given a three-year extension in 2023.

"André and Blaine have both been instrumental in building the foundation for our organization and will be critical in our continued success and leadership moving forward," Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement released by the team.

"André is an excellent leader, communicator, and person, who is extremely well respected by our players and our staff. Blaine's an experienced, knowledgeable, and Stanley Cup-winning coach who has a strong body of work running the power play."

Foote lasted only one season as Vancouver's coach after being promoted from his job as an assistant on the staff but landed a new home in Utah in only one month.

"We are also thrilled to have Adam, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and 2002 Olympic gold medalist right here in Salt Lake, join the organization and bring a fresh perspective to our room backed by years of experience as both a player and coach," Armstrong said. "This is another exciting day for the organization."

Utah finished 43-33-6 and made the playoffs i n the 2025-26 season under Tourigny. It was the team's second season in Utah.

"I am grateful to the organization and feel fortunate to work alongside such an exceptional coaching staff and dedicated group of players, whose collective hard work and commitment to each other have fostered a culture we can be proud of," Tourigny said. "My family and I love being in Utah and look forward to deepening our roots here."
