She also rocked a swept-back bob style at the tennis championships on July 11.
On July 13, she styled her bob in old Hollywood waves.
Hannah Waddingham certainly knows how to respond to this summer’s heatwave—by chopping a few extra inches off her bob, naturally! The Ted Lasso actress first debuted her short new look while attending the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London on July 9.
Embracing the unofficial dress code of the event, she wore all white. As for her hair, it was a few inches shorter than her signature bob and was styled in smooth, side-parted waves with choppy face-framing layers. The chin-length trim not only gives her a lighter style for the infamous U.K. heatwave, but is also, luckily, very on trend. After all, this is officially the summer of the Italian bob.

Waddingham went on to prove that just because your hair may be short, it never has to be boring. A few days later, she returned to Wimbledon wearing all-white again and let her hair be the main event. This time, she rocked her bob in a piece-y, windswept look, with her short layers sweeping back from her face.

And, a few days after that, Waddingham stepped out with yet another bob ‘do. Attending a Ride or Die event in London on July 13, she wore her bob in an old Hollywood-esque deep side part with bouncy curls.

Waddingham has been sporting her bob since early 2024, but her latest chop is her shortest yet. There’s a reason why her new look makes such an impact.
“Her bob is a masterclass in effortless glamour,” celebrity hairstylist Jason Collier told Good Housekeeping of the look. “It has all the hallmarks of a classic bob, but with softer movement and volume that gives it a fresh, modern feel.”
“The side-swept styling looks luxurious, but I love that it doesn’t feel overstyled,” he added. “The airy texture keeps it from feeling too polished or structured.”
