Noah Kahan is pushing back against President Donald Trump’s use of his song.

The White House recently used Kahan’s track “American Cars” to promote Trump’s visit to a General Motors facility.

After pushback from fans, Kahan insisted that he would “never approve” of the administration using his music.

Noah Kahan is joining the growing list of musicians who don’t want to be associated with the Trump administration.

On Monday, President Donald Trump and the official White House social media account marked his recent visit to the General Motors facility in Michigan by sharing a carousel of photos and video, one of which featured Kahan’s song, “American Cars.”

“Nothing like American cars,” the White House captioned a TikTok video of Trump signing a Corvette at the facility.

After several fans called attention to the use of Kahan’s song to promote Trump’s Michigan visit, the folk singer was quick to pump the brakes on the song choice.

“Would never approve of my music being used in support of you or this administration,” the singer commented beneath Trump’s post.

Noah Levine, Kahan’s guitarist and co-writer on the track, weighed in as well, writing, “You fat f---, this song isn’t for you.”

Their posts clearly caught the attention of the Trump administration with Kaelan Dorr, deputy assistant to the President and White House deputy communications director, writing on X, “Symptoms of [Trump derangement syndrome] apparently include having a northern attitude,” a reference to another of Kahan’s songs.

American Cars has since been removed from Trump’s Instagram post, though the TikTok post remains live as of publication.

The White House declined to comment further when reached by Entertainment Weekly for comment.

With their posts, Kahan and Levine join a long list of music artists who have publicly condemned the Trump administration for using their music without approval. Most recently, Katy Perryhit back at the White House for similarly featuring her 2010 song “Firework” in a social media video depicting military strikes in Iran.

“I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it,” Perry later wrote in a social media post. “I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for.”

She concluded, “My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.”

Aside from Kahan and Perry, artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Queen, Nickelback, Rihanna, R.E.M., Steven Tyler, Neil Young and many more have called for Trump to stop using their songs at rallies, events, and in social media posts.

Days of Our Livesstar Deidre Hall is celebrating 50 years since she first joined the beloved soap opera, and has confirmed she isn’t done yet.

The 78-year-old, who has played psychiatrist Marlena Evans for half a century, joked that she’ll continue to work on the show “as long as my key card still opens the gate.”

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin-born actor told People that when she first joined the show she was given just a 13-week contract.

“All that I thought was: ‘Okay, that’ll be fun,’” she remembered. “It was always a happy surprise to be invited back.”

Hall’s character has become one of the most well-known in soap history, with a backstory that now includes being possessed by the devil on two occasions as well as surviving a fall from a 30th floor window.

Reflecting on her five decades in the role, Hall said: “I have loved every moment. It’s the best job.”

In 2014, her character made history when she officiated the first gay male wedding on daytime television, having previously been involved in an emotional coming-out scene with her grandson.

Hall remembers: “We had tons of fan mail about that, young men writing saying: ‘I wish I had a mom like you; I wish I had a grandma like you.’ Everybody wanted Marlena to be their person, and the truth is, what you want is just somebody to care and accept you. It was so important.”

She added that she still has dreams about what she can achieve with the character, joking: “Well, an Emmy would be nice!”

In 2024, Hall appeared on the hit HBO show Hacks, playing a fictionalized version of herself as the mother of Jimmy LuSaque (Paul Downs).

During the episode she made joking reference to her proficiency as a soap actor, telling her son: “Are you kidding? I’m in soaps, I can be off book for Hamlet in 20 minutes.”

Back in March, Ryan Gosling claimed that it was Hall who inspired him to act. Accepting an invitation to visit her on the Days of our Lives set, Gosling said: “I will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration. It wasn't Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, it wasn't De Niro in Taxi Driver, it was you and I want to thank you for your offer. Anytime, anywhere. You tell me, I'll be there.”

Last June, Hall was involved in the heartbreaking onscreen death of Drake Hogestyn’s character, John Black, eight months after the actor died in September 2024.

During his final moments, Hall’s character, whom he had been married to several times, tearfully told him that he’d given her and their four children “all the love we will ever, ever need.”

Hours after the episode premiered, Hall labeled it the “hardest day ever” in an social media post.

Jared Leto’s weird Joker stories have come back to bite him years after he shared just how far he went to lose himself in the role for 2016’s Suicide Squad.

In a 2016 interview with E! News, Leto talked about the unusual gifts he sent to his co-stars while he was getting ready to play the Batman villain, including how he apparently sent used condoms and adult toys to them. He said the extreme gifts were part of how he wanted to create the unstable side of Joker’s personality.

“I know it’s a family show, but we can educate people, at least they were used,” Leto joked at the time.

The actor explained that he sent the bizarre gifts so that there wouldn’t be any boundaries between cast members and to create a sense of unpredictability on set.

“I did a lot of things…” Leto said, sharing that he wanted to bring “surprise, spontaneity” to his work in the role.

He added that the Joker was a character who “doesn’t really respect things like personal space ,” and that his approach showed that as he threw himself into the role. The off-beat stories quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of how Leto got ready for the role, with his co-stars having different reactions to his methods.

Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn in the film, said that she was not completely surprised by Leto’s behavior, and explained that she felt she already understood the character he was trying to create. She seemed to lean into what he was trying to create and seemed to be on board with the methods that he was using.

“I kind of felt like I knew the Joker a bit,” Robbie said at the time, adding that there were still moments when she did not know how he would react which shows that for the most part he succeeded in what he was trying to do.

Will Smith, who played Deadshot in the movie, also remembered how committed Leto was to the role, saying that the actor had gone “full Joker” while they were shooting the movie. “He really set the tone,” Smith said. “He wasn’t playing with it.”

The celebrity is currently in the news after a documentary about him abusing young women has aired. Four women have said that Leto had behaved inappropriately when they were teenagers, while Leto has said that the claims were “false.”

This is also not the first time that he has face these claims as he also denied them in an Air Mail report where nine women claimed that he had sexually assaulted them last year.

The stories of how he prepared for the role of the Joker have started some conversations about how Leto apparently has a reputation for extreme performances and outrageous behavior.

The stories of how Leto acted on the set have become legendary, but now they are returning as some wonder if he took his preparation for the role too seriously. Years after Leto brought his version of the Joker to audiences, those same behind-the-scenes stories are once again following him.

Oxfordshire, England, Truck Fest attendees reported severe food poisoning allegedly after eating wraps from a now-closed food stall

The festival’s medical team launched an investigation and removed the vendor within 90 minutes of initial complaints

Festival organizers told PEOPLE in a statement, “We share the disappointment and frustration of those whose weekend was affected.”

Concertgoers at a popular festival reported being severely sickened with food poisoning allegedly after eating at a food stall, with some saying they ended up missing the bands because they were having diarrhea in the portable bathrooms.

“Shall we discuss the elephant in the room...Who else got food poisoning ... having the trots with those toilets is NOT for the faint of heart,” posted an anonymous commenter on July 27 to a Facebook group dedicated to Truck Fest. The annual music festival in Oxfordshire hosts campsites — from pitch-your-own-tent locations to more luxe campervan and glamping accommodations — for the three-day festival, which kicked off July 23.

According to reports, attendees claim the source of the food poisoning was wraps with a choice of meat— and left many concertgoers trying to manage diarrhea in mobile bathrooms, or leaving the festival entirely.

“I was fighting for life in those portaloos all I wanted was my own bed,” wrote one concertgoer.

Another, who was staying in the pricier Zodiac section which had more upscale facilities, wrote that “Luckily had Zodiac loos but it wasn’t fun having to miss bands for trips there all day yesterday.”

A spokesperson for Truck Fest tells PEOPLE, “On Sunday morning, our on-site medical team received reports from a number of attendees with similar symptoms. Our Health and Safety team launched an immediate investigation and identified a third-party food vendor as the suspected source. That vendor was removed from operation within 90 minutes of the first report. We reported our findings to the local Environmental Health Officer the same day and are supporting their ongoing investigation into the cause. We share the disappointment and frustration of those whose weekend was affected.”

After the booth was shut down, a commenter claimed the stall “said it was due to oven issues but 99% sure it’s because we were all sh–ting.”

While Truck Fest did act quickly, afflicted concertgoers were still struggling with symptoms long after the stall was closed, with at least one attendee saying they ended up in the hospital after having bloody diarrhea. The doctors were “running tests on my samples as they suspect food poisoning.”

That attendee said they’d had the pork sandwich — which was mentioned several times in the thread as the source.

“Had one Saturday evening (pork smasher) now got the worst food poisoning of my life. Had to come home. Still ill now absolutely gutted I missed all of sunday,” one commenter wrote.

One festival attendee, however, wrote that they suspected the chicken was the culprit. “I had one Thursday night, but thankfully noticed the chicken wasn’t cooked before I ate any. Reported it to them, but they basically told me my eyes were lying to me and it wasn’t pink - so kept my £17,” the commenter wrote on the Facebook thread.

“It soon became clear that a lot of people were ill. A couple camping next to us were in the medical tent all day on Sunday,” one festival attendee told Daily Mail. “I saw a lot of people repeatedly rushing to the toilets which were mobbed. The medical tent was handing out Imodium left right and centre.”

PEOPLE has reached out to Event Mobile Catering, which operates the stall in question, for comment.

A spokesperson for the Vale of White Horse said they were aware of a “potential food poisoning outbreak,” per Oxford Mail. The statement continued: “Truck Festival reported the issue to us and said that a number of festival goers reported the food poisoning symptoms to the medical tent. From this, after some investigations, they were able to quickly identify a potential source and Truck Festival closed the stand.”

“We are investigating the issue and are working with the food business, Truck Festival, UKHSA and the trader’s own local registering authority.”

Markle also shared her favorite Girl Scout cookies. She said she likes Thin Mints as “It’s such a classic.”

Earlier during her appearance on MasterChef Australia, she shared her dessert policy for kids. She said, “They eat Brussels sprouts,” and “If they say, ‘Mama, can I have dessert?’ We say, ‘If you can pick it, you can have it.'”

“You can’t pick chocolate!” Sofia Levin jokingly responded.

Markle said, “No, you can’t pick chocolate, but you can pick a nice piece of fruit. We always have a nice, as my husband would say, ‘pud.'”

During the Cookie Queens’ screening, Markle shared that the documentary was more than just treats. She also praised the younger girls in the documentary, saying they impressed her with their ambition, kindness, and curiosity.

Cookie Queens premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 7. Livvy Dunne showed off her iconic red Baywatch swimsuit on TikTok as filming for the reboot of the classic lifeguard drama is underway.

She is playing the recurring role of Grace, a junior lifeguard, in Fox’s 12-episode Baywatch reboot, which premieres in January 2027. This role in the Baywatch reboot marks the social media star’s professional acting debut, and she joins a new generation of the original 1989 lifeguard drama that ran for 11 seasons, which starred David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, and Jason Momoa.

The reboot features an influencer-packed cast, including Dunne, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, and Stephen Amell, among others.

Dunne gained a social media following after posting about her life as a collegiate gymnast at Louisiana State University, where she became the highest-paid NCAA female athlete. She has since amassed over 13 million followers across platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

She made her debut as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in 2023 and was a cover star in 2025. Dunne announced her retirement from gymnastics in April 2025 due to a kneecap injury.

Since then, the former athlete has kept busy as she steps into a new spotlight on television. Dunne told USA Today in an interview that since graduating from LSU in 2024, she’s been taking acting classes "very seriously" as she began her audition journey.

"I've always loved performing and I'm a perfectionist. Reflecting on her victory of landing a role in the Baywatch reboot, she told USA Today, "To be able to even get one 'yes,' it's huge.”

She added that she aspires to land a role in a horror film in the future as she dives into her acting career. A few months ago, she revealed to Jimmy Fallon that her first acting audition was actually for a role in The White Lotus, which she ultimately didn't land.

Dunne also shared that she had submitted a self-tape for Baywatch, and it was the first callback she had ever gotten in her acting career, a moment she described as "iconic."

Perlman and DeVito married in 1982 and share three adult children: Lucy, 43, Grace, 41, and Jacob, 38. Though the couple separated in 2017, they remain legally married.

DeVito said they plan to remain married moving forward and still spend time together on a daily basis. “We’re always over at her house. We see the grandchildren together, that kind of stuff,” he told the outlet. “So that’s a good relationship.”

DeVito and Perlman initially separated in 2012, but they reconciled and resumed a romantic relationship the following year. They separated again in 2017.

In 2023, Perlman said during an appearance on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Wiser Than Me podcast that she and DeVito remained “very good friends” even after that second separation, adding that “it took time for us to come to this somehow pretty decent understanding and relationship with each other.”

DeVito appeared on AARP The Magazine‘s cover as his long-running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia prepares to release its 18th season. In December, he will appear in Jumanji: Open World, reprising his role from 2019’s Jumanji: Next Level.

While speaking with the magazine, DeVito credited his longtime success in Hollywood to the support from his family and friends. “Because of them, I always had a feeling that no matter what I was doing, I could do it, no holds barred,” he said.

Jumanji: Open World is in theaters Dec. 25. Perlman, meanwhile, most recently appeared in multiple television series in 2025, including The Studio, Too Much and Poker Face.
