Tom Brady is exploring the field.
The former NFL superstar turned Fox Sports commentator, 49, may be known for his skill on the turf, but earlier this year, he tried his hand at something entirely new when making his runway debut in the Gucci 2027 Cruise show staged in the middle of Times Square.
Now, after the big moment, which occurred on May 16, modeling for Brady isn’t entirely off the table.
In an interview with GQpublished on Aug. 25, timed to his first Gucci campaign under the label’s creative director Demna, the retired athlete and dad said he would “never say never to doing anything,” including more modeling gigs in fashion campaigns.

“So if there was an opportunity that presented itself that I thought was really fun and new, I would definitely be open to it. I always say the only place for growth is outside your comfort zone, and I think this was one of those things: doing something that I had never really done on a big stage with some really great people.”

Brady admitted that “ironically,” he didn’t have much of a relationship with Gucci prior to his runway debut with them, so their phone call came as a shock. “At first, there was a bit of like, ‘Wait, say that again?’ But the more we got into it, I think the more excited I got, and I realized how unique the experience would be for me to really get outside my comfort zone and try something I’ve never tried. You have these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and that’s how I saw it.”

Saying “yes” to the opportunity was worth it. “I’ve had a lot of really surreal experiences in my life, and that was as unique as any of them. Just being in Times Square and seeing how they built out the set and stage, and then ultimately how they organized it all. It was amazing to see how it all came together, and I think it went off great.”
Brady’s catwalk look included a full leather look, which he says his closet has now adopted. “I’d never really done leather on leather before, but there are some leather pants in my closet now. I thought, ‘Damn, that’s actually really comfortable.’ I could see why people wear this,” he told GQ.

His latest career update comes just weeks after celebrating his 49th birthday alongside family and friends. On Instagram, he posted photos of himself swimming underwater, hanging with his kids (he shares son John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 19, with his ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan, and two children with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen — Benjamin Rein, 16, and Vivian Lake, 13), sitting on the yacht deck, posing alongside pals and more water-side fun for the big birthday.
