"Hi friends, I’m back out of the hospital," she captioned the post. "I had to do an emergency abdominal surgery. There was a bowel obstruction in my small intestine. They had to decompress my stomach, flush out of intestines and remove and reattach a small part of my small and large intestine."

Katja continued, "I was in the hospital with an NG tube down my nose, into [my] stomach, pumping fluid up and out of my body for 10 days without being able to eat or drink. It was absolute hell on earth. But the tube is gone, I am eating and drinking, and am back at home.

To conclude the post, she shared, "Thanks to the surgical team at Cedars Sinai especially Dr Matthew Bloom and Dr Sydney Caputo (sp?) and shoutout to Nurse Audrey for being a baller. Hallelujah. 🙏🌈."

On May 5, Katy took to her Instagram Stories to share a message with her followers, along with an apology.

"We are sorry to announce that our Netflix Is a Joke Festival show on May 9th must be postponed as Katya focuses on her health and recovery following a medical procedure," the update began.

Katya continued, "Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding. Please hold on to your tickets — a rescheduled date should be announced shortly."

The news came less than a week after Katya posted a photo via X of herself in a hospital bed with what appeared to be nasal cannulas and a feeding tube. "Girl I’m in body jail #hellonearth," she captioned the post.

In the comments, the drag queen's followers showered Katya with support and well-wishes. One X user wrote, "What organs do you need? I WILL find them."

A second fan echoed, "I will give you my kidney or my lungs, whatever you need, mama, you got it."

Someone else exclaimed, "Girl, WTF! Hope you’re OK."

Another fan shared, "Hope you feel better soon!" as a different X user wrote, "Sending you love and fast recovery, sis."

Meanwhile, yet another fan commented, "We love you, FEEL BETTER!!!!"

Katya first competed in Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2015. She placed fifth overall and snagged the Miss Congeniality title. In 2016, she returned for RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 2, finishing as the runner-up.

A representative for the "Total Eclipse of the Heart" singer, 74, shared an update on her status in a statement to ** on Thursday.

"Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her Doctors to aid her recovery. We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please," manager Matt Davis tells EW. "We will issue a further statement when we are able to."

Representatives previously announced that the musician had undergone emergency surgery in Portugal and was recovering.

"We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie has been admitted to hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a home, for emergency intestinal surgery," said a statement published to her website Wednesday. "The surgery went well and she is now recuperating."

The statement continued, "We know that all of her family, friends, and fans will be concerned about this news and will be wishing her well for a full and swift recovery."

Tyler had been scheduled to perform at the SummerLUST Music Festival in Għaxaq, Malta, on May 22, as well as a show in Wiesmoor, Germany, on May 30. She has more than two dozen additional European concerts scheduled throughout 2026.

Tyler has released 18 studio albums since breaking onto the pop scene in 1976. Her most recent album, *The Best Is Yet to Come*, debuted in 2021. She also released an autobiography, *Straight From the Heart*, in 2023.

The singer most recently performed live at a London concert in March.

Tyler first "fell in love" with the Algarve, the southernmost region of Portugal, when she recorded an album there in the late 1970s. "I loved it so much that I bought a house there," she wrote in *The Guardian* in 2001. "Even 20 years on, the place is still very raw and unspoilt, although a lot of Portugal has been ruined."

The Welsh musician was granted an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 2023 for her services to music. "I never ever thought I would have something like this, my mother and father would be so proud," she told the U.K.'s PA news agency at the time (per *The Independent*).

After the ceremony, Tyler also reflected on the enduring popularity of "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

"Lots of people ask me, 'Aren't you fed up of singing it?' But there is no way, I love it and everybody does, it is a karaoke classic."

The musician shared similar sentiments with *Good Morning America* when the track's Spotify streams spiked around the time of the total solar eclipse in 2023. "Every time the eclipse comes, everyone all over the world, they play 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and I never get tired of singing it," she said.

Tyler landed the track when she reached out to its writer, Jim Steinman, who had penned successful collaborations with Meat Loaf in the 1970s.

"He played the grand piano while Rory Dodd sang 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' to me. I understood immediately what an incredible song it was," she remembered of an early meeting with Steinman in a 2023 interview with *The Guardian*. "Meat Loaf had lost his voice, and after it was a hit he always used to say: "'Dang. That song should have been mine!'"

- Zoë Kravitz is calling out Hulu after the streaming service promoted her canceled series *High Fidelity* using a reference to her fiancé Harry Styles.

- Hulu wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post that her character Rob definitely had Styles' album* Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally* on her playlist.

- “This is tacky @hulu," Kravitz wrote in response.

Hulu has crossed a (fine) line with Zoë Kravitz.

The actress put the streaming service on blast Thursday after it promoted her canceled original series *High Fidelity* on social media using a reference to her fiancé, Harry Styles.

The Instagram post, which has since been deleted, featured a carousel of images of Kravitz as her character Robyn “Rob” Brooks on the gender-flipped drama. “Robyn Brooks definitely has* Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally* on her playlist,” its caption read, nodding to Styles’ recently-released fourth album.

The post seemed to strike a sour note with Kravitz, who simply commented in response: “This is tacky @hulu.”

A representative for Hulu did not immediately respond to **’s request for comment.

Based on both Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel of the same name and its 2000 film adaptation starring John Cusack, *High Fidelity *followed music-obsessed Rob as she looked back at her top five heartbreaks while attempting to run a struggling record store in Brooklyn. The series also featured performances from Jake Lacy, David H. Holmes, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and then-future Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

Despite receiving positive reviews — and ending on a *major* cliffhanger — Hulu announced that *High Fidelity *had played its final note in August 2020. Kravitz mourned the decision in an Instagram post at the time, thanking its cast and crew “for all the love and heart you put into this show.”

She went on to drag the streamer over its lack of diversity following the show’s cancellation, writing sarcastically on Instagram later that same month that “at least Hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait.”

In the years since, Kravitz has repeatedly expressed her interest in reprising her role as Rob. “Yes, I would love to,” she told *Esquire* in 2024. “I was just saying earlier: Every time I let it go, somebody reminds me that they love it. And it happens. It’s the most mentioned project to me.”

And she’s not alone. Last year, Randolph confirmed that she’s also ready to press play on *High Fidelity* again.

"We all feel the same way,” Randolph told* **Rolling Stone* in November. “Zoë [Kravitz] and I talk about it all the time, like, 'How can we figure this out? Give it back to the people,' but really give it back to us, because we just really love it.”

The Four Weddings and a Funeral alum shared a selfie of her with her with two braided pigtails.

The 68 year old said the whimsical look made her feel "like a kid again."

Andie MacDowell’s natural gray curls have been her beauty calling card since she made her salt-and-paper transformation back in 2020. The 68-year-old actress has proudly sported her bouncy silver ringlets on the runway, on the red carpet, and on-screen—but she switched things up with an unexpected hairstyle in a selfie posted on May 10.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral alum revealed her hairdresser’s unexpected trick to hide her real hair underneath a wig for her role in the Hallmark series The Way Home. In the show, which released its fourth and final season on April 19, MacDowell sports long curly silver hair as the Landry family matriarch Delilah "Del" Landry. However, the star revealed that her hairstylist’s solution to protect her real tresses inspired her to wear the braided pigtails in real life.

“Season three my hairdresser would braid my hair to hide it underneath my wig. I felt like a kid again with two little braids,” she captioned her photo, which showed her wearing her ringlets in two tight plaits on either side of her head with darker ends.

MacDowell, who paired the nostalgic with a deep berry lipstick, a smoky eyeshadow, and a classic white collared shirt, continued, “There is  a part of me that really wants to start occasionally, in casual style…..Maybe when I am hiking or walking on the beach…wear my hair in braids ☺️. Happy Sunday I hope you are watching the show. It’s a fabulous cast, and we are so appreciative of those that love us.”

MacDowell has been tapping into her inner beauty chameleon in recent weeks, recently stepping out for a taping of the Today show on April 15 with a low ponytail. The Groundhog Day alum showed off bigger curls compared to her natural ringlets, framing her face with wavy tendrils and a teased crown. She finished off her look with a baby blue striped collared dress shirt, high-waisted flared caramel slacks that were cropped at her ankle, and strappy nude sandals.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Everybody knows the Oklahoma City Thunder's depth is the envy of the league and the backbone of their aspirations for a second straight NBA championship.

The next impressive player to rise from the Thunder's bottomless depth and onto the national stage is Ajay Mitchell, who has seized the spotlight while replacing injured teammate Jalen Williams during these playoffs.

After delivering career playoff highs of 24 points and 10 assists with no turnovers in the Thunder’s 131-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night, the Belgian guard is the latest cog in general manager Sam Presti's formidable machine to prove he's ready to contribute to Oklahoma City's aspiring dynasty.

Perhaps only his teammates aren't surprised.

“Yeah, he’s a gamer,” MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said. “Works super hard. He’s never shaken by the moment. It might be a shock to the world, but it’s no shock to us. We knew who Ajay Mitchell was the day he stepped foot in our building, and he’s just showing it to the world.”

The Thunder are unbeaten in the postseason after taking a 3-0 series lead in the second round, seemingly making their advancement to the Western Conference finals a mere formality.

That's largely thanks to Mitchell, who swiftly stepped up to shoulder an increased offensive load five games ago following Williams' hamstring injury. In the second round, Mitchell has also stepped up to make up for the Lakers' strong defensive effort against Gilgeous-Alexander, who has been limited and erratic by his formidable standard.

“I know what I can do, and when I go out there, I just want to compete and help this team win and play freely,” Mitchell said. “Every time I step on the court, I want to be a winning player and help my team. That’s really what’s been on my mind every time I play.”

Mitchell did that impressively in the second half of Game 3, with 18 points and seven assists in the half while largely taking charge of the game at the start of both quarters. He led the Thunder's 21-6 run out of halftime on the way to a third straight blowout.

Mitchell is averaging 20.7 points per game against the Lakers while hitting 53.3% of his shots and committing only three total turnovers. He has 20 assists while also playing strong defense.

After Williams went down in Game 2 of the first round against Phoenix, Mitchell moved into the starting lineup for Game 3 and promptly went 5 for 20. His teammates remained solidly behind him — and Mitchell has been outstanding ever since.

“He’s just finding his footing,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. "It’s his first run in the playoffs, and it’s obviously a different ballgame. He’s just getting more and more comfortable as the game goes on, as the series goes on. ... I was never worried that he wasn’t going to figure it out, and he’s shown that.”

After growing up in Europe, Mitchell spent three collegiate seasons about an hour away from downtown Los Angeles at UC Santa Barbara, and he was a second-round pick in 2024.

Mitchell played as a rookie last season, albeit sparingly: He contributed 6.5 points per game in 36 regular-season contests, earning an early role in the Thunder's rotation before missing nearly the entire second half of the regular season with turf toe.

He averaged just 8 minutes per game during the postseason title run, but Presti and coach Mark Daigneault saw enough to re-sign Mitchell to a three-year, $9 million contract — a deal that looked like a ridiculous steal even before this playoff emergence.

Mitchell has proved he can be a creator and a scorer, but he earned Daigneault's trust by contributing on defense. Daigneault recognizes Mitchell's inexperience in the postseason, but it hasn't stopped the coach from putting Mitchell at the center of their effort.

“He doesn't have a ton of basketball (playing time) in the NBA,” Daigneault said. “The growth curve of players young in their career is steep, and he’s a guy that’s hungry, (but) he’s also humble. So he grows from all of his experiences. He's been great in the postseason so far, but he hasn't been wholly efficient yet. I think that's a little bit the intensity of the games, the physicality, the length. ... And yet he stays aggressive and he just keeps playing.”

The* Vampire Diaries* creators have talked a lot about the importance of a great villain for the series, and in its later seasons, there was one villain that stood out among the rest: Kai Parker (Chris Wood). Introduced in season 6, the sociopathic siphoner quickly became a favorite in the *TVD* fandom, and for Ian Somerhalder, whose Damon Salvatore was the series' first villain, Kai marked a significant shift for the show.

In episode 6 of *EW's Binge: The Vampire Diaries*, Somerhalder recalls his hesitation about Damon becoming a good — or at least better — guy in the show's third season. "I was so upset about the trajectory of Damon," Somerhalder says. "So much so that at one point I was sitting across from [executive producer] Julie [Plec] in her office in Atlanta almost in tears so angry about this."

The Vampire Diaries

Plec, along with her co-creator Kevin Williamson, explained that Damon couldn't be what they called a "one trick pony," that he was going to be the villain at times and the hero at others. But that's precisely why Somerhalder says he was jealous of what Chris Wood got to do as Kai in season 6. "That's why I was always so in love with what Chris Wood was doing on screen, because up until that moment, there was never a character in the show, other than Stefan in the Ripper age, that actually had the ability to not be so serious, to do horrific things but do it with a smile," Somerhalder says.

As far as Wood's inspiration for Kai, Wood, who's also on the podcast, says, "We talked about Ted Bundy if he was really funny. It was the worst person in the world who's also like maybe a good hang if you can get him to shut up for a second. That was sort of what I was always going for."

For *The Vampire Diaries* creatives, casting Enzo was a particularly difficult task. Because originally, the role was going to be very different.

"You were supposed to be the third Salvatore brother," executive producer Julie Plec tells star Michael Malarkey in episode 8 of *EW's Binge: The Vampire Diaries*. Writer Brett Matthews adds, "That was always the plan, and then it went a different direction, but that's why it was so hard to find the person. We thought it was going to be a Salvatore brother, so we cast a very wide net [and] looked very hard." Ultimately, they scrapped that plan and made it so Enzo didn't share Salvatore blood, but he was a brother figure for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) for many years (and he was sired by Lily Salvatore).

But that wasn't the only plan that changed in the writers' room over the years. In discussing the *Vampire Diaries*' final season, Plec and Matthews recall the final major debate: Which Salvatore were they going to kill in the series finale? "We went back and forth in the writers' room all season long," Plec says. "We finally landed on: We're killing Damon. That's the right thing to do. He is the one with the consequence to pay. Stefan was morally a bit stronger of a character."

Matthews adds, "Damon's a fairly obvious choice," noting that the writers really fell in love with the idea of Damon compelling Stefan (Paul Wesley) to let him die. But when executive producer Kevin Williamson proposed that it should be Stefan that dies, they started to rethink their plan. "It felt like dying for Stefan freed him from a lot of weight, whereas it felt like living for Damon freed him to go and be the man that he was always supposed to be," Plec says.

Of course, both Salvatores were meant to die in the original ending Plec and Williamson came up with during the show's second season. In that ending, "The boys would sacrifice themselves to save Elena so that Elena could go and have a life and be human and live," Plec recalls during the podcast. "To save her, they would die together, and that was always the pitch. And then when Nina [Dobrev] left, it felt like the show can't be as much about protecting Elena's happiness, although that's important to us, but we want to protect the bothers' happiness, we want them to get something out of this. Then it shifted to: We can't kill both of them for her because that feels somehow like nobody got what they wanted. Let's find a different way to give one of these brothers the happiness that they need and the other brother the closure that they need."

(One other way Dobrev leaving changed the plan? Plec says, "I thought that by the time we came back to the end of the series, whenever it was, that Elena would've found her way back to Stefan and Damon would've found a different path.")
