- Jennifer Nettles said that everything about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding “surprised” her when she attended.

- The Sugarland singer said that “no one knew anything” about the ceremony prior to the big day: “No one knew for sure where we were going.”

- Nettles collaborated with Swift on Sugarland’s 2018 song “Babe.”

Jennifer Nettles is sharing her side of the story from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding.

The country star, who collaborated with Swift on her band Sugarland’s 2018 hit “Babe,” told PEOPLE about her experience at the star-studded festivities at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

“To be a part of even a small part of their story for me was super special because, obviously, these are two people who are at the absolute top of their industry, the top of their game, the top of their craft, the top of their artistry,” the *Farmer Wants a Wife* host said. “It’s such an important time in their lives. To be able to witness that very special moment, it’s beautiful.”

The *Righteous Gemstones* star also indicated that there were numerous opportunities to be surprised because guests knew so little about the ceremony as the big day arrived.

“It all surprised me, because of course, no one knew anything,” she said. “I guess people had — there were leaks here and there where people were guessing, but no one knew for sure where we were going until much closer to the time.”

Nettles thinks Swift is a unique talent. “As a songwriter, you can’t touch her,” she said. “She’s the biggest artist of all time, really of our generation.”

The singer said that she was thrilled to cross paths with Swift.  “I’m so proud to have been even a little part of her story,” Nettles emphasizes. “Obviously, throughout her history, she and I have worked together before, and I have such an admiration for her and what she has done.”

- Baker Mayfield is one of the season 3 stars of Netflix’s *Quarterback*, but why would the NFL star allow cameras into his private life? We asked him.

- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB explains how he got his wife, Emily, on board for the show.

- Turns out the player also has a new appreciation for how hard being a football fan can be.

Baker Mayfield has been a star on the football field for a long time — winning the Heisman Trophy in 2017 while playing at the University of Oklahoma, being selected first overall in the NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns, and becoming a leading MVP candidate for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before injuries and losses doomed his chances.

But now Mayfield is about to become a star of a different sort: a TV star. The Bucs QB is one of four signal-callers who will be starring on season 3 of Netflix’s hit documentary series *Quarterback*, which premieres July 14. He joins Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders), Joe Flacco (Cleveland Browns/Cincinnati Bengals) and Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans) in being profiled on the show.

While this writer grew up in Washington, D.C., and is therefore a die-hard Commanders fan, even I have to admit that Mayfield steals the season. There is an impressive number of juicy clips showing epic trash-talking from the master of the form, mixed in with tender family scenes (with wife Emily and daughter Kova) and a super fun bye-week trip to the New York City Marathon.

With Mayfield’s on- and off-field actions making their way soon to a screen near you, ** sat down with the quarterback to discuss the decision to let cameras into his life, whether he scouted other QBs through the show, and how he got a taste of what it’s like to be a fan watching the plays instead of the guy making them.

**: You’re obviously used to having cameras follow you around and being mic’d up and stuff, but this is a whole other level of access, so was there any hesitation about letting cameras into your personal life and living room?**

**BAKER MAYFIELD:** Absolutely. I got asked to do this a few years in a row, and what I was really worried about was how invasive it would be on the family, personal life, or the people that are around me. Like you mentioned, I’m kinda used to cameras always being around the field on game days. Somebody’s always mic’d up anyway. You’re just used to that.

But after asking some people that have done it in the past that said it’s really not that hard and it gives people a good look on the inside of the day-to-day stuff that you go through throughout the journey, whatever the season might look like. And once I heard it was pretty easy and it can kinda encapsulate what you’re all about throughout the course of the season, but it also gives you great footage and whatnot — especially for us in this new chapter of life that we’re in. We just had [baby] number two, and to follow the pregnancy through the season and watch our daughter grow up — we have a lot of great clips from that, so it was awesome.

**Were there any limits you put on in terms of things they could not film?**

To be honest with you, no. I mean, we did our gender reveal with the camera crew, which is something that’s usually pretty personal. We did everything. I think it was more invasive for my wife than anything, with them filming some in the suite watching games and whatnot. So I think it was more invasive when it came to the people that I’m surrounded by when it comes to game day and all that.

So we kind of let them have free roam, but the crew made it really, really easy. And there was constant communication that we always felt good about the shots and the viewpoint they were gonna put us in.

**What about having cameras watch you watching the Saints vs. Falcons game to determine if you all made the playoffs? That is a super tense moment for you, obviously, and you’ve got this camera right in your face.**

That’s something that gave me a different perspective on family and loved ones watching games supporting me — that when it’s out of your control, it’s not exactly enjoyable. But at that point it was just hoping to have the game go the right way and we get a chance at the playoffs. That was probably the worst aspect of the whole series, but at that point, you, you needed it. It’s either the next chance of the playoffs or the wrap up to the season and on to the next chapter.

And that’s always, to me, that’s the one thing that from people that are on the outside, if you don’t make the playoffs, it’s just like, okay, you have a team meeting the next day and your season’s over. And if you’re not under contract, then you don’t know where you’re gonna be living, you don’t know where you’re gonna be playing the next year. And so it’s that gray area of: *Wow, the season’s really done. We worked so hard all off-season, all season for this, and then it’s just over*. So I think that is also gonna add in the perspective for the fans as well.

**When you sign up for this, you sign up for everything. It’s interesting because we see it in those first few minutes when your wife is talking about how she was told to Google you, and then we see the footage of you running around from police and grabbing your crotch and all that from college. What was it like having to revisit that stuff all over again now with some distance from it?**

It always makes for a very interesting story, but it’s our story. It’s the game of chase that I was trying to play to get her attention. And rightfully so, she wasn’t giving me the time of day considering my friend Patrick told her to Google me, which was a bad, bad mistake on his part.

But I understood where she was coming from. We’re coming up on seven years being married next week, and it comes from a really funny story when you put it all together.

**When you were first approached for this, obviously if she’s not on board, you’re not on board. So what were those conversations like? Was she always excited to do it, or did it take some arm-twisting? How did those negotiations work?**

She’s always been one to shy away from the camera. She never wants to be the center of attention, but after going through as many years as I’ve played going into year nine now, the support system is… You know, you see the product on the field on Sundays, but it takes so much more than just the player to have production, to have a sustained career, to have success.

And I think for me it was more so convincing her that this is going to help support her, help her feel more confident about what she’s doing, and she’s just always been authentic and natural with just owning it, being herself. So it was convincing her that the camera time’s not gonna be that much, but it’s gonna show her in a light that everybody’s gonna love and enjoy seeing and, obviously, realize why I’m deeply in love with her. So once we got past he camera footage and all that, she was fine.

Baker Mayfield with wife Emily and daughter Kova

**Which of the other three quarterbacks profiled were you most excited to watch when you knew it was going to be you and them?**

Like you, I was interested to see the Jayden thing from the perspective of how he was gonna handle the [elbow injury] rehab. I think honestly all three of them, between Joe getting traded midseason, I was excited to see that transition, after having been through it to see the differences there.

And then Cam Ward, I think somebody that’s all business all the time, that’s what he puts onto the camera. I was interested to see if there was any other side of him. And you kinda saw that it’s his free time fishing and doing everything with that. That’s just kinda how he unplugs. So I was interested to see all those things, but, mostly Joe Flacco going through the trade transition, just because I had done the same thing.

Baker Mayfield on season 3 of 'Quarterback'

**How do you watch those elements of the show? I’m just watching as a fan. Are you watching as a viewer, or are you watching as someone that’s almost taking notes on their process, because they’re doing the same job you’re doing?**

I think there’s a little bit of both. There’s definitely just an admiration piece from perspective of: *Okay, there’s only 32 guys in the league that get to start and play quarterback in the NFL.* So admiration from the fact that we have all come from different backgrounds and found a way to make it work and get to this point.

So watching it from there, but then also there’s definitely the note piece of like, *Okay, what are they doing? What has gotten them to this point? Is there anything I can take away from these guys and go from there?* But, for me, it’s just fun to see what these guys are like off the field, you know? It’s very rare that we actually all get to just hang out or do any of that. So getting a viewpoint of that, to me, is very intriguing.

Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

**What was your favorite part of your story to watch back on screen?**

I think all the injuries and whatnot I was dealing with throughout the year, the look into what my Monday and Tuesday looks like with my physiotherapist, Dave Matthews — just him putting all the pieces back together to where I can walk on Wednesday and practice on Wednesday.

That part of the process is something that has been routine for me every single week for eight years now, to work with him, and it’s not fun whatsoever. It’s painful. It stinks, but you gotta do it to get back on the field and you gotta take care of your body.

People are like, “I don’t know how he plays every week,” but to give a look inside to somebody that has been there for me and has truly put the pieces back one step at a time and, to show that process of what my Monday night looks like—having family over for dinner, we’re eating, we’re hanging out, we’re watching football, I’m getting my body worked on — that’s kinda where I unwind and unplug truly.

After a game on Sunday, I can’t. The adrenaline’s still going. But on a Monday is when I really get to decompress, and that’s when I start to hit the reset button for the next week. That’s a part of the process and arc of the schedule and the whole season that I think is gonna be fun for people to see.

Senne Lammens watches Belgium's World Cup slip away as Mikel Merino's late winner sends Spain into celebration and the semifinals.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Only minutes into the second half of Friday's World Cup quarterfinal against heavily favored Spain, Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois boomed a goal kick downfield and felt a twinge in his thigh.

He initially felt good enough to keep playing, but the pain resurfaced each time he tried to kick the ball long.

Rather than ask Courtois to fight through the pain, Belgium head coach Rudi Garcia removed the Real Madrid goalkeeper in the 71st minute of a 1-1 match. Courtois exited the field wiping tears from his eyes as backup Senne Lammens entered.

"I wanted to continue, but the coach wanted someone 100%," Courtois said. "I wanted to try to play maybe 5-10 more minutes because, in goal, I was feeling good, I was making saves and I was not disturbed to make those saves. I was only disturbed to kick long."

A dramatic moment became a decisive one less than 20 minutes later when Lammens made a critical mistake at the worst possible time. The 24-year-old Manchester United goalkeeper spilled a routine shot from Spain center back Pau CubarsĂ into the penalty area. Spain's Mikel Merino was the quickest to react, slamming home the rebound to propel his team to a 2-1 victory and a berth in the World Cup semifinals against France.

For Courtois, it was a gutting way to potentially end his World Cup career. The 34-year-old has been one of the world's best goalkeepers for a decade, but there are no guarantees he'll still be at that level four years from now.

For Lammens, it was the cruelest possible introduction to World Cup soccer. The young goalkeeper helped save Manchester United's campaign last season with his calmness and composure, but this was just his third appearance for Belgium's national team.

"It's a learning moment for him," Belgian defender Brandon Mechele said. "It was not the most easy ball. I think it bounced just in front of him. We as defenders also could have helped him by following maybe more.

Added Courtois: "He's a strong guy. He's a strong personality. I'm sure he will be fine."

It was a remarkable achievement for Belgium to push talent-laden Spain to the brink under any circumstances. That the Belgians did it shorthanded made it even more impressive.

Even before the injury to Courtois, Belgium was already down two of its top midfielders. Captain Youri Tielemans suffered an injury during pregame warmups and had to be scratched from the starting lineup. Amadou Onana was already out for the rest of the World Cup after suffering a torn knee ligament against the U.S. on Monday in the round of 16.

Somehow, a Belgium team that was supposedly past its prime still put up a fight. Courtois, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and other remnants of Belgium's aging golden generation turned back the clock. Younger stars like Jeremy Doku and Charles De Ketelaere also did their part.

While Spain dominated possession from the opening kickoff until the final whistle, Belgium stayed organized on defense and did not concede many scoring chances. The Belgians also managed to become the first team at this World Cup to score against Spain when De Bruyne, Timothy Castagne and De Ketelaere combined for a superb equalizer in the 41st minute.

Superb vision on a one-time pass from De Bruyne set up Castagne with room to make a cross. De Ketelaere pinned CubarsĂ in the box, got across him and headed the ball home, delivering the first World Cup goal scored against Spain in 649 minutes.

There were a couple half chances during the second half for Belgium both before and after Merino's go-ahead goal, but the Belgians weren't able to capitalize.

As a result, they'll leave another major tournament with no trophy but plenty of reason to be proud. They've advanced to the quarterfinals or beyond at three of the past four World Cups.

"In the big tournaments almost always we have done well," Courtois said. “A lot of times we get criticism that your golden generation never won anything. We are Belgium. We are not Spain or England or France."

Forget about "Jessie's Girl." Rick Springfield is the real catch, as far as the internet is concerned.

The Grammy-winning Australian singer has been going viral for his youthful physique after appearing shirtless during a recent performance.

Springfield, who turns 77 next month, proved himself an enduring heartthrob when he sang his '80s hit "Jessie's Girl" at the Ruoff Music Center in Indiana on June 14. The singer, clad in black leather pants that showed off his toned torso, performed his signature tune while he rocked out on electric guitar, as seen in concert footage shared on social media.

"He has no business being this hot at that age," one Instagram user wrote. "Someone [please] get me a drink of water."

Springfield's appearance also caught the attention of podcaster Joe Rogan, who pulled up a clip of the rocker's performance during a June 30 interview with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

"This is literally bananas," Rogan, 58, said as he played Lee the performance. "He's 76 years old, and he's singing 'Jessie's Girl' like he just wrote it. First of all, he looks … incredible. Like, he's working out every day. I don't even understand it. He looks like a 30-year-old guy."

Lee, 63, agreed with Rogan's assessment, calling Springfield "ripped" and "inspirational." He added, "Good job, bro."

Springfield opened up about his health in an interview with People magazine last March, revealing that a recent full-body MRI scan had uncovered lingering brain damage from an accident at a Las Vegas concert in 2000.

"I fell 25 feet, hit my head and then wood came down and hit my head, and then my head hit the stage again," he told the outlet. "I thought I had just broken my wrist, but on the scan I found out I have some brain damage from the fall, so I'm working on trying to repair that."

The '80s rocker also shared that he's cut back on his alcohol consumption in recent years.

"I was drinking quite a bit, and as you get older, it's kind of a natural thing to drop," Springfield said. "I'm not [in] AA – I mean, I know a lot of people it's worked for. I'll have a couple of sips of vodka or something when I'm onstage, but I don't drink any other time."

This year's Wimbledon Championships has proven to be as much a fashion spectacle as a sporting one, both on and off the court.

Naomi Osaka turned heads with her striking kimono-inspired walk-on outfits, while Coco Gauff showcased a high-profile collaboration between New Balance and Miu Miu.

Not to be outdone, spectators have embraced the sartorial spirit, with many adopting the players' strict all-white dress code.

The stands have become a runway, demonstrating that style is truly serving at SW19.

Here are some of the best celebrity looks this year.

Claudia Winkleman

The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman showed a fresh take on summer tailoring, stepping away from her normal wardrobe of black.

Winkleman opted for an off-white tailored suit with loose-fitting trousers, worn with a bright white T-shirt underneath.
