Hilaria Baldwin addressed the negative attention she received for taking her kids to get haircuts in New York City during a snowstorm on Sunday, Jan. 25

The mom of seven explained that the appointments were made over a week earlier, and the salon is only two blocks from her N.Y.C. home

Hilaria specifically called out tabloid coverage of the snow-day haircuts, stating that the same outlet wrote "a positive story about a man and a negative story about a woman — same city, same snowstorm, same day"

Hilaria Baldwin has no time for haters of her family's snow day activities.

After snow hit New York City on Sunday, Jan. 25, the author and yoga instructor, 42, did not let the wintry landscape get in the way of her family's plans, trekking a few snowy blocks for previously booked hair appointments. After she received unsavory attention for the mid-snowstorm haircuts, the mom of seven had some choice words for her critics.

Shortly after revealing that her kids "braved the snow storm to get fresh cuts," Hilaria — who shares her seven children with husband Alec Baldwin — addressed criticism of the snow-day activities video on Instagram on Monday, Jan. 26.

"Hey, it's Hilaria Baldwin. Do you know that if you're a mother in a snowstorm, you have to live by different rules than a man in the same snowstorm, according to a certain tabloid? I know. Shocking," the star began the video, sarcastically.

She went on to explain that on Sunday, fellow N.Y.C. residents were out and about, as "we don't get a lot of snow" in the city. She recalled seeing people cross-country skiing, building snowmen, sledding in Central Park, and "pulling people through tubes on the street and having fun."

The Baldwin family was no exception, Hilaria said. "We went out two times yesterday. One was to go up to the bookstore to get books and Legos, 'cause we've done a lot of Legos the past couple of days," she said, adding that the store was only about "seven blocks from the house."

"And then later on, we went and got the haircuts that I posted about, which is two blocks from our house," she recalled. "I had a great time. We bundled up. It was a little bit cold. There's snow falling, but that was kind of it."

The salon was open, the family's appointments were solidified over a week ago and they "had a great time," she explained. "Of course, that's me as a mother, bundling all of them up and trudging through the snow. You guys know — it's a thing."

"It's making memories, and the kids had a great time and they love getting their haircut, and we don't do it very often because they're so cute in the comments, and I appreciate that," the mom of seven continued. "It means a lot to me. They're my kids."

She then returned her attention to the outlet that covered her snowday haircuts in what she described as an unflattering light. "And then my friend called me today laughing," she recalled. "He's like, 'Oh my God, this tabloid says that you're under fire for bringing kids out in the snowstorm.'"

The yoga instructor, who noted that she found "only one negative comment" on her haircut post, then pointed out how the same tabloid opted to cover a male public figure's snow-day activities compared to her own.

"I got off the phone and then I started thinking about a post that I saw yesterday about how Shaun White was in Central Park and like playing in the snow with everybody else as he should. Like, super fun. What an amazing thing for all the other people that were there. So cool. I wish I was there," she said. "Because Shaun is famous, I started thinking, 'I wonder if the same tabloid wrote about him too.'"

"They did," she said. "Wouldn't you know, it's positive."

The mom of seven went on to say that it "kind of does hurt my feelings because you're asking women to play the same game by different rules, and you know that because you wrote a positive story about a man and a negative story about a woman — same city, same snowstorm, same day."

"Now, I know that there's clickbait of, like, wanting to like post women and be like, 'Is she a good mom?' 'Is she not a good mom?' 'Oh my god, maybe she put them through something.' We know what this is about," added Hilaria.

"What I'm asking for is like, do I have to stay indoors?" Hilaria asked. "Like, what's this rule where I can't do the same thing as everybody else? What's the difference?"

Hilaria and Alec, 67, share seven children: daughters Carmen Gabriela, 12, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2, and sons Rafael Thomas, 10, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 9, Romeo Alejandro David, 7, and Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, 5.

The author shared a full round-up of the family's wintry weekend after the haircut post.

Alongside snaps of the kids all bundled up, she wrote, "We had such fun snow days in NYC 🤍. Books, Legos, playing in the snow, puppies and cats, board games ❄️☃️ #thebaldwins #hilariabaldwin #alecbaldwin #snow #family."
