Disney's live-action *Tangled* actor Milo Manheim has saddled up for his biggest role yet — and now he's revealed some of the intense preparation he's endured to bring his character, Flynn Rider, to the big screen.

The 24-year-old *Zombies* series alum appeared on Thursday's *Live With Kelly and Mark*, where he teased to cohosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos all of the physical feats he's tackling as he slips into Flynn's boots for the studio's remake of the 2010 animated classic.

"Yes, *Tangled*, I'm here for you. I can't believe that it's happening. I love this movie," Manheim — the son of *Law & Order* actress Camryn Manheim — said on the talk show, referencing his part opposite Teagan Croft as Rapunzel.**

Manheim said that he's now "learning how to hold my breath for five minutes" and "how to ride a horse right now" before shooting begins.

"That's the thing I'm most excited about, whatever y'all need me to do. They're looking for a giant stallion!" he said, as Ripa and Consuelos noted that he's already a particularly tall person, so any horse he rides would need to be equally as tall.

The star said, "They're going to make these angles work, you guys, movie magic! But I've always loved horses. I can't wait for that."

Manheim added that the "experience has opened up so many doors," including allowing him to scale new heights — literally — as he's "learning how to rock climb right now" as well.

"I'm meeting so many fantastic people, I get to travel the world," he said of the role, which marks the latest in Disney's growing filmography of live-action adaptations of its animated classics, with the most recent being 2025's $1 billion-grossing *Lilo & Stitch*.

In a prior interview with * *(watch below), Manheim revealed that Disney informed him and Croft of their castings mere minutes before the announcement went wide.

"It's important the world knows this! People think that I booked this like a long time ago and I've been keeping it a secret," Manheim told EW earlier in January. "I found out 10 minutes before the news was released that I'd be playing Flynn. So that day was — I woke up, just like any other day, and by the end of the day... it was beautiful. The world knew, it was great."

Manheim and Croft take over the roles of Flynn and Rapunzel from the animated original's voice actors Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore, who fronted the prior production that went on to become one of Disney's most popular modern releases.

*Tangled *earned just under $600 million at the global box office during its original theatrical run, with legendary musician Alan Menken's soundtrack tune "I See the Light" scoring an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song in 2011.

The film also spawned other projects, including the Disney Channel animated series *Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure*, the short film *Tangled Ever After*, a themed section of Disney World's Magic Kingdom park, and a full boat ride based on the film that opened in 2024 at the Tokyo DisneySea theme park.

Disney has not yet announced a release date — or additional casting, including who will play the villain, Mother Gothel — for the live-action *Tangled*.
