Finding Her Edge already has fans pleading for a second season!
The young adult Netflix series, which is an adaptation of the 2022 book by Jennifer Iacopelli, follows former figure skater Adriana Russo (Madelyn Keys) trying to make a comeback to the competitive skating world two years after taking a break following the death of her mother.
In addition to figuring out her new reality, Adriana also finds herself training with a new partner, Brayden Elliott (Cale Ambrozic). After realizing that she and Brayden have sparked romance rumors amongst fans, Adriana and Brayden make a plan to pretend to date in order to gain intrigue and help Adriana get sponsors for her family's failing skating rink.
However, Adriana's plans get more complicated when she starts reconnecting with her former skating partner and first love, Freddie O'Connell (Olly Atkins). As their love triangle unravels, their complicated skating dynamics also come to a head.
The series, which premiered on Jan. 22, has not been officially renewed for a second season, but the first season ended on an ambiguous note. Meanwhile, the showrunner and Iacopelli have each expressed hope and interest in doing another season.
Here's everything to know about a potential Finding Her Edge season 2.

As of Jan. 30, 2026, Finding Her Edge has not been renewed for season 2. However, several of the cast members, the showrunner and the book's author have all shared hopes in getting a second season.
Are there other Finding Her Edge books?

When Finding Her Edge was adapted into the Netflix series in January 2026, there were no additional books, as the novel was a standalone. However, Iacopelli teased that while there aren't official plans for a sequel to the Finding Her Edge book, it could always be a possibility.
When asked if she was interested in writing a Finding Her Edge sequel, Iacopelli told Women's World in January, "I'll give a hint of a little spoiler. If anyone does a deep dive into my publishing deal announcements, there has been no announcement about a second book specifically, but I am currently under contract for a new YA [young adult] book. Do with that what you will."
While Iacopelli hasn't shared explicit plans for another Finding Her Edge book, she has written other young adult novels, including Break the Fall and Game, Set, Match.
What would the second season be about?

Even though there are not current plans for a second season of Finding Her Edge, the first season's ending could set up a potential season 2. During the last episode of season 1, Adriana (Keys) gets back together with Freddie (Atkins) and ends her friendship and working relationship with Brayden (Ambrozic).
The final moments of the first season flash forward a month and show Adriana and Freddie deciding to professionally skate together again. Upon returning to the rink, they shockingly discover that Freddie's former partner, Riley Monroe (Millie Davis), has met Brayden, and the two are preparing to compete against Freddie and Ariana.
"Hope they're ready for some serious competition," Adriana teased.
Keys shared that the ending makes it seem like there is a lot more to the story.
"I'm really excited that, at least in that last scene, Riley doesn't even say anything, but you can see it in her eyes," Keys told Collider in January. "There is some tension between her and Adriana too. I think that is good, and that is what she deserves, as a character. I hope that Adriana gets to learn a couple more lessons about how to be in a friendship. Will that be messy with also her feelings with Brayden? Absolutely. I can't wait to see what that would look like."

Luckily for Finding Her Edge fans, Iacopelli, several of the show's stars and the showrunner, Jeff Norton, have all expressed interest in a second season.
"The writers did such an incredible job of giving season 1 its own story while setting up so many new possibilities for drama in a potential season 2," Iacopelli told Elle. "I can't wait to see how Adriana and Freddie handle finally being together while they skate together."
She added, "I'm so curious how we'll see Brayden and Riley develop after being thrown together, both feeling betrayed by their former partners."
Meanwhile, Norton encouraged fans to remember that the characters are still teenagers, so they have a lot of room to grow and develop.
"If we're lucky enough to have a second season, we will see how she evolves and how these romantic relationships evolve," Norton told What's on Netflix. "But this is just simply where she's got to at the end of about four months in story-time."
Norton further revealed that he already begun writing ideas for a potential second season that revolve around the characters figuring out what they want compared to "what they need."
"That's the element emotionally I want to explore," he shared. "And then, practically speaking, we tee up at the end of season one that the Russo rink has been acquired by the rival rink, the Voltage Skating Academy. There's an interesting dynamic to play with that as well. At some point, the Russo skaters are going to have to merge with the Voltage skaters. And I think there's lots of friction to be mined there."
In addition to the author and showrunner, several of the stars also spoke about wanting to do another season and their hopes for their characters.
Ambrozic told Elle that he enjoyed how his character, Brayden, was "petty" for picking a new skating partner "so close to home" and looks forward to his "revenge plan."
"I think you could tell by the look [he gives Adriana]. But I thought we ended on a really great note for season 2, God willing," Ambrozic said.
Meanwhile, Atkins chimed in to say that he wants to see Freddie unlock his "competitive spirit."
"I think that, with all of this history that he has in really compacting down his emotions and controlling how he expresses how he feels, I want to see him let loose. I think it would be really, really fun to play with," Atkins said.
Keys continued on that sentiment and said that she hopes Adriana will grow as both a person and a skater.
"I want to see her be more engaged in the other people in her lives and realize that not everything is about her sometimes," she said to Elle. "I'd love her to be more of a support for not only her father, but also for the other people in her life."
