- Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding venue was reportedly surrounded by signs indicating a film shoot.

- A sign inside the venue also appeared to warn attendees that they were being filmed during the ceremony.

- Swift and Kelce also reportedly asked their guests to sign NDAs and refrain from cell phone usage.

Taylor Swift has authorized quite a few documentaries about her career. Now, fans wonder if a documentary about her wedding to Travis Kelce may be coming.

You might have heard by now that the "Love Story" singer married the Kansas City Chiefs tight end at a ceremony in New York City on Friday. Practically everyone in the entertainment industry seemed to be present, with over 1,000 on the invite list and somewhere between 500 and 999 actually attending.

The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden — a venue ordinarily reserved for professional basketball, hockey, and massive concerts — yet more than one attendee has described the event as "intimate" (and they didn't seem to be joking).

An onlooker reported that the streets around Madison Square Garden featured "No parking" signs for a "film shoot" that was listed as taking place from June 20 to July 4.

Another onlooker captured a photo of a large sign at Madison Square Garden notifying attendees that "photography and videography" would occur at an "event" between June 29 and July 3, and also that entering the venue constituted an agreement of "confidentiality" about said event.

Journalist Rob Shuter told *NewsNation* that he thinks a wedding documentary is definitely coming down the line. "What she's done is she's filmed it herself," he speculated. "She's paid for it, she's paid for those crews, and she'll probably edit it herself. And when she has a final product, she'll put a ribbon on it, and then she'll figure out what she wants to do with it."

It's also worth noting that Swift has an existing relationship with Disney, as the studio's streaming service, Disney+, released her documentary projects *The End of an Era* and *Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions*, and she also recently released the single "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the *Toy Story 5* soundtrack. *Variety* reported that Disney execs Bob Iger, Dana Walden, and David Greenbaum were all invited to the wedding.

We also know that AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron, who worked with Swift to release her 2023 concert film *Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour*, was definitely in attendance at the ceremony, as he shared (and then deleted) a detailed play-by-play about the festivities.

*Variety* reported that attendees were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements so that certain elements of the event didn't leak to the public. ** has learned that at least one NYC restaurant that provided catering to the wedding was forbidden from discussing its involvement in the event due to an NDA.

Additionally, at least one guest confirmed that the wedding enacted a no-phone rule, which means that we likely won't see many photos or videos from inside Madison Square Garden unless they come directly from the bride and groom's teams. (However, that hasn't stopped tons of the attendees from sharing photos of themselves in their wedding attire before and/or after the festivities.)

NDAs at high-profile weddings aren't unheard of — Chris Evans, Jennifer Lopez, and George Clooney all reportedly deployed confidentiality agreements at their respective weddings. But those stars didn't choose to get married in an entertainment arena in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the United States, nor did they invite hundreds upon hundreds of celebrities to the festivities.

All of those details align to tell us that Swift and Kelce are maintaining an extreme level of control over what their fans see from the wedding. And since neither of them are particularly private people — and, again, they *invited 1,000 people to a basketball arena in Midtown Manhattan* *on a holiday weekend* — it stands to reason that eventually we *will* see an official look at the festivities.

It's difficult to imagine that Swift would reportedly spend tens of millions of dollars on a milestone event filled with celebrities and keep it to herself forever, especially since her entire musical empire is built on sharing nuggets of her personal life with her listeners. But hey, if she wants to surprise us and keep her best day a strictly private affair, forever and always, more power to her.

One of the photos also featured her husband, Benny Blanco, in a traditional black tuxedo standing at her side.

Gomez and Swift have been friends since their teenage years. They met through the Jonas Brothers in 2008 when the *Wizards of Waverly Place* actress was dating Nick Jonas and the "Our Song" singer was going out with Joe Jonas.

In the ensuing 18 years, Gomez and Swift have consistently palled around at awards shows, supported each other's new albums, and shouted each other out on social media. Gomez also appeared in the star-studded 2015 video for Swift's song "Bad Blood," and has made surprise appearances on stage during the "Love Story" singer's *Speak Now*, *1989*, and *Reputation* tours.

In 2020, the two musicians reflected on their friendship during a *WSJ Magazine* cover story spotlighting Gomez. "There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don't say that in a basic way," Swift said. "I knew from when I met her I would always have her back. In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don't know if I can forgive someone who hurts her."

"There's so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don't know about because we don't necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do," Gomez said. "She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It's been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don't agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything."

That same year, Swift briefly showed up in a FaceTime cameo on Gomez's HBO Max show *Selena + Chef*.

In 2022, Gomez said that Swift is her only true friend in the entertainment industry. "I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn't belong," she told *Rolling Stone*. "I felt the presence of everyone around me living full lives. I had this position, and I was really happy, but … was I?"

When Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco in 2024, Swift volunteered to serve as the flower girl at the wedding in an Instagram comment. PEOPLE reported that Swift gave a speech at the couple's wedding in Santa Barbara, Calif., in 2025. Gomez later shared behind-the-scenes footage of Swift at her wedding to Blanco on Instagram.

Earlier this year, Gomez revealed that a key track on Swift's 2020 album *Evermore* is about her friendship with the singer.

"'Dorothea' is about me," Gomez said on Blanco's *Friends Keep Secrets** *podcast. "I feel like a lot of huge moments that were self-defining — from relationships to family to love to hate, all of it, in between — we were figuring it out because I was 15 and she was 18. And we didn't really know what was going on, and so we've never seen each other any differently."

She added, "When I listen to ['Dorothea'], I'm so impressed by how it's eloquently put."

Rumors about Abraham Lincoln's sexuality have become a hot topic in American history

The Tony-winning Broadway play Oh, Mary! satirizes the 16th president as a closeted man, playing off rumors that historians have floated about his male relationships

Lincoln historians Callie Hawkins and Joan Cummins recently addressed the longstanding rumors, sharing what historians know for sure

President Abraham Lincoln's political legacy is firmly etched in the history books: he's the 16th president of the United States of America who issued the Emancipation Proclamation to free enslaved African Americans during the American Civil War.

The record of his personal life, however, is far murkier. Recent years have seen a rise in rumors about the president's sexuality; even the Tony-winning play Oh Mary! satirizes Lincoln as languishing in the closet while his manic wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, strives for stardom.

In honor of Pride Month, NBC Washington's Tommy McFly recently visited President Lincoln's Cottage, a hilltop house in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Also known as the Soldiers' House, Lincoln spent over a quarter of his presidency at the cottage, particularly during the hot summer months.

McFly met with Lincoln's Cottage CEO and President Callie Hawkins and Lincoln's Cottage Association President Joan Cummins while visiting the historic site, and the scholars admitted that, when it comes to Lincoln's sexuality, "the question comes up" among visitors.

"I try and be straightforward about what we know or don't know, and I try to understand, through the conversation, about why somebody is asking — the answer might be important to them," Cummins explained.

So, McFly questioned, what do we know?

"We know a couple of things," Cummins noted. "We know that Abraham Lincoln had a profound connection with someone named Joshua Speed while he was living in Springfield. They met each other, they were roommates, Speed is the one who took razors out of Lincoln's room when he hit one of his deepest episodes of depression. So they were sort of taking care of each other in that way."

Speed is the name that comes up most frequently in rumors surrounding Lincoln's possible homosexuality. In the 2024 documentary Lover of Men: The Untold History of Abraham Lincoln, historians assert that the Springfield general store owner was the one who helped transform Lincoln from a country bumpkin into a politician that voters could see as presidential.

Joshua Fry SpeedCredit: Universal History Archive/Universal Images Group via Getty

The pair lived together for four years. As with William Greene, the general store employee he met in his early 20s, Lincoln was known to share a bed with Speed, fueling the rumors about their relationship.

"We know for a fact they were sharing a bed," Hawkins confirmed. "The other [detail] that stuck with me is that Lincoln wrote Speed a letter that was like, 'It's been 10 hours since I got your last letter, and I have barely been calm the whole time,' which says to me, like, that person was really important to you."

Moreover, Lincoln was said to be devastated when Speed moved back to his home state of Kentucky to help his mother run the family farm, falling into a period of dark "suicidal depression."

The future president wrote a letter to his law partner, John Stuart, in which he declared, "I'm now the most miserable man living. If what I am feeling were distributed to the whole human family, there would not be a cheerful face on the earth."

Rumors about Lincoln seeking male companionship persisted even throughout his presidency and during his stays at Lincoln Cottage.

"It exists in the primary sources and in the historical record that Lincoln shared a close relationship with Captain David Derickson, who was captain of the Bucktail soldiers, who were sent here to guard the president," Hawkins noted. "There were rumors around town that Captain Derickson had used one of President Lincoln's nightshirts."

The relationship between Lincoln and Derickson, his personal bodyguard in 1862 and 1863, may have truly been salacious, or the rumors may have been exaggerated through the years. However, Hawkins and Cummins told McFly that they don't feel it's inappropriate to continue being curious about one of the most notable men in U.S. history.

"For us here at the cottage, it's not a threat to talk about those kinds of things," Hawkins said. "Lincoln is a man about whom 17,000 plus books have been written. We think we know all there is to know about him. There is so much more to know. But you can't know any of that until you ask the question."

For as much speculation as there was and remains about Lincoln's sexuality, there were also plenty of rumors about his immediate predecessor, James Buchanan. To date, Buchanan remains the only U.S. president to serve out his term in office as an unmarried man. His niece, Harriet Lane, whom he adopted when she was orphaned, served as a de facto first lady during his time in the White House.

Moreover, Buchanan was known to have a close friendship with the Southern politician William Rufus DeVane King. It's said that rival politicians would mockingly call them "Miss Nancy” and “Aunt Fancy" and that Andrew Jackson referred to King as Buchanan’s “better half.”

Historian James W. Loewen is one of several who hold the belief that Buchanan was, in fact, homosexual. In his 2010 book Lies Across America: What Our Historic Sites Get Wrong, Loewen claims that, late in life, the president wrote a letter in which he stated that he might take a wife, on the condition that she could accept his "lack of ardent or romantic affection."

For *The Vampire Diaries* creatives, casting Enzo was a particularly difficult task. Because originally, the role was going to be very different.

"You were supposed to be the third Salvatore brother," executive producer Julie Plec tells star Michael Malarkey in episode 8 of *EW's Binge: The Vampire Diaries*. Writer Brett Matthews adds, "That was always the plan, and then it went a different direction, but that's why it was so hard to find the person. We thought it was going to be a Salvatore brother, so we cast a very wide net [and] looked very hard." Ultimately, they scrapped that plan and made it so Enzo didn't share Salvatore blood, but he was a brother figure for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) for many years (and he was sired by Lily Salvatore).

But that wasn't the only plan that changed in the writers' room over the years. In discussing the *Vampire Diaries*' final season, Plec and Matthews recall the final major debate: Which Salvatore were they going to kill in the series finale? "We went back and forth in the writers' room all season long," Plec says. "We finally landed on: We're killing Damon. That's the right thing to do. He is the one with the consequence to pay. Stefan was morally a bit stronger of a character."

The Vampire Diaries

Matthews adds, "Damon's a fairly obvious choice," noting that the writers really fell in love with the idea of Damon compelling Stefan (Paul Wesley) to let him die. But when executive producer Kevin Williamson proposed that it should be Stefan that dies, they started to rethink their plan. "It felt like dying for Stefan freed him from a lot of weight, whereas it felt like living for Damon freed him to go and be the man that he was always supposed to be," Plec says.

Of course, both Salvatores were meant to die in the original ending Plec and Williamson came up with during the show's second season. In that ending, "The boys would sacrifice themselves to save Elena so that Elena could go and have a life and be human and live," Plec recalls during the podcast. "To save her, they would die together, and that was always the pitch. And then when Nina [Dobrev] left, it felt like the show can't be as much about protecting Elena's happiness, although that's important to us, but we want to protect the bothers' happiness, we want them to get something out of this. Then it shifted to: We can't kill both of them for her because that feels somehow like nobody got what they wanted. Let's find a different way to give one of these brothers the happiness that they need and the other brother the closure that they need."

(One other way Dobrev leaving changed the plan? Plec says, "I thought that by the time we came back to the end of the series, whenever it was, that Elena would've found her way back to Stefan and Damon would've found a different path.")

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the center of attention as they are reportedly traveling to the UK. According to a royal expert, a four-word assessment has been issued for the royal couple. Allegedly, commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the Sussexes could not be trusted.

Meanwhile, Harry is said to be prepping to bring his wife and his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to his homeland. The kids would be returning after four years. They last visited during the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Expert believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not ‘trustworthy’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would likely have to reshape their public image ahead of their upcoming visit to the UK. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Express that the British public seemed to be “hostile” towards them. He claimed the reason to be the Sussex couple’s “behavior. “They are not trustworthy,” the commentator added.

According to him, Harry and Markle might explore “a future in Britain” after they couldn’t make it big in Hollywood. “What they do have is an international profile; the test is how they use it,” Fitzwilliams added.

Meanwhile, another royal expert, Nick Ede, advised the Duchess of Sussex to do some “charity work” during her trip, according to The Daily Express. He claimed that Markle should steer clear of promoting the brand. “A successful return would focus on meaningful charitable engagements, supporting causes close to her heart and avoiding any perception that the visit is being used to promote a brand, project or media venture,” he said.

Moreover, the Sussexes have not yet confirmed whether they would be traveling to the UK together. While Harry is reported to bring his family along, the security issue still raises questions. The Duke would reportedly not qualify for state-funded protection as he is no longer a working royal.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran began a dayslong funeral Saturday for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, months after an airstrike killed him at the start of the war. He was 86.

Authorities unveiled the casket containing Khamenei’s body in a glass case at the Grand Mosalla in Tehran, Iran’s capital. Mourners wept at the sight, with some chanting: “Our word is one! Revenge! Revenge!”

Some carried banners and flags, while billboards across the city bore Khamenei’s image. Crowds of men rhythmically beat their chests in mourning, a common practice at Shiite funerals.

“I am here to say goodbye to my beloved leader Ali Khamenei,” said a weeping Hananeh Mousavi, 27, who attended the funeral alongside her mother. “I never expected to see such a day. I wish I had died before this tragedy."

Coffins sat on display at Grand Mosalla

An outdoor stage set up at the Grand Mosalla resembled the stage where Khamenei once gave his speeches at a husseiniyah at his compound in downtown Tehran. That site was destroyed in the Israeli airstrike that killed Khamenei and some of his family at the start of the Iran war on Feb. 28. The caskets of his dead family members sat beneath his, which had his black turban atop it, identifying him as a direct descendent of the Prophet Muhammad.

Iran’s government expects to see millions flood the streets of the capital in scenes reminiscent of the burial of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989. Organizers sprayed water on the crowds and offered cold drinks to help those with the summertime heat.

“We attended the funeral to show that we are all committed to defend our country and religion,” said Ali Kazemi, who came from the northwestern city of Tabriz, some 530 kilometers (330 miles) away from Tehran.

A large turnout could provide a boost for Iran’s government, particularly as it tries to leverage its hold on the Strait of Hormuz in negotiations with the United States over a permanent end to the war, and as concern still lingers that Israel could attack yet again.

Funeral starts as US marks its 250th anniversary

Iran chose July 4, the 250th anniversary of the creation of the U.S., to begin the funeral. While authorities did not acknowledge the timing, crowds at the ceremony in Tehran chanted: “Death to America!” — reprising a cry that's been common in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution and U.S. Embassy takeover and hostage crisis.

“We knocked the hell out of Iran,” U.S. President Donald Trump said in a speech at the same time in South Dakota in front of Mount Rushmore. “They want to settle so badly. We gave them a week off for a funeral.”

The American president was not forgotten in Tehran. In the crowd in Grand Mosalla, several mourners held a large flag that read: “#KillTrump.”

Khamenei’s body will be transported to cities in both Iran and neighboring Iraq. Authorities have shut down streets, airspace and daily life in Tehran for the mourning.

It remains unclear whether Iran’s new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, will appear at his father’s funeral. The late supreme leader appeared in 1989 at Khomeini’s funeral, weeping visibly, as he began his journey to lead Iran for decades with an iron fist while confronting the West. Mojtaba Khamenei's late wife was one of the dead on display at the Grand Mosalla.

Israel’s repeated threats to kill Mojtaba Khamenei drew a warning from Iran’s joint military command Thursday, which told Israel and the U.S. “to avoid any miscalculation” over the coming days.

- Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are tying the knot, and their nuptials are shaping up to be a star-studded extravaganza.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are about to get their happily-ever-after — with some high-profile friends and family looking on.

The music superstar and the NFL player are reportedly set to marry at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday after weeks of intense rumor and speculation.

And, of course, the event will be packed with famous faces, especially because Swift is known for having a large group of friends, including supermodel Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, as well as actress Dakota Johnson. Those three famous faces were among the first spotted on their way to Swift and Kelce's big bash. (EW will continue to update this post as stars arrive.)

Other members of Swift's inner circle who have been spotted making their way to MSG include Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Camila Cabello, Zoe Kravitz, and frequent Swift collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. Swift's one-time bestie Karlie Kloss even made the guest list.

Invitees snapped by paparazzi and news outlets also include Abigail Anderson, Swift's childhood best friend; fellow musicians Ellie Goulding, MGK, Fergie, Benson Boone, and Jennifer Lopez; sportscaster Charissa Thompson; fitness trainer Sarah Blackburn King; authors Glennon Doyle and Jenny Han; Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann; comedian Nikki Glaser; broadcast journalist George Stephanopoulos; and actors Julianne Moore, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant, and actor Eric Stonestreet.

Swift's country roots are represented with Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Joe Don Rooney from Rascal Flatts and the members of Little Big Town and the Chicks.

Several of Kelce's NFL buddies and their wives in attendance include Kelce's former teammate Ross Travis; L.A. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and wife Kelly Stafford; former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman; San Francisco 49ers stars George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk and their wives, Claire Kittle and Kristin Juszczyk.

The first signs of who might turn up at Friday's big ceremony came Thursday, when a gaggle of famous names descended on the iconic venue for a rehearsal dinner.

Two of the first seen were Dunham and Antonoff, who dated from 2012 to 2018. Dunham has been friends with Swift for more than a decade, appearing in the music video for her 2014 "Bad Blood" remix, while Antonoff has produced several major Swift projects, including 2017's *Reputation *and 2020's *Folklore*.

Antonoff attended with his sister, the designer Rachel Antonoff, who has made a number of pieces worn by Swift.

More Swift pals, like Hadid and designer Ashley Avignone, were spotted hours ahead of the rehearsal dinner en route to MSG. Hadid was accompanied by Cooper, her partner of three years. Guests on Kelce's side included sports reporter Erin Andrews and her husband, former NHL star Jarret Stoll, as well as retired sports commentator Greg Olsen.
