After a super busy 2025 which included releasing two new albums and selling out New York City's Madison Square Garden for the first time ever, the beloved jam band Goose is embarking on a major tour this summer...which will include a return to the legendary venue.

As Ultimate Classic Rock reported, Goose will be joined by supporting acts including Disco Biscuits, moe. and Greensky Bluegrass on their upcoming jaunt, which kicks off on June 13 in Toronto and will make stops in cities including Houston, New Orleans and Boston before wrapping up in Salt Lake City on Aug. 29.

Among the tour's highlights will be the group's aforementioned MSG dates (on June 19 and 20). Considering last year's concert was a four-hour event, Big Apple area fans can definitely look forward to an epic evening.

Fans can also expect to hear tunes from Goose's most recent album, 2025's Chain Yer Dragon. During an appearance on Q104.3 New York's Out of the Box with Jonathan Clarke, singer/guitarist Rick Mitarotonda said the record's material had been in the works for quite some time.

"A lot of these songs have been around for a long time and have inhabited a very significant space in our world and our journey, with our group of friends and everything. They mean a lot to us," the musician explained.

"We've been trying to make this record for a long time," Mitarotonda continued. "It makes sense now. It feels deeply right that it's happening now...where the band is now, the way we're communicating, the way we're interacting with each other. It's right. It feels really, really good for this material to have been realized this way."

Earlier this month, Goose — who shared the stage with Bob Weir during a performance at 2023's Playing in the Sand festival — paid tribute to the late Grateful Dead star with a moving Instagram post including a series of pics and a video clip.

"From our very first Playing in the Sand to every moment that followed, it's hard to put into words what your presence has meant to us," the message read. "You didn't just open a door for us, you welcomed us into a lineage, a spirit, and a way of approaching music that is rooted in freedom, trust, and deep respect for the song."

The band went on to praise Weir for his generosity, thanking him for his "trust and the lessons you taught us without ever needing to say them out loud. And most of all, thank you for the music, the music that continues to guide us, challenge us, and remind us why we fell in love with this in the first place."
