Terrence Howard could have been Mr. Beyoncé Knowles — or so the former Marvel star claimed in a recent interview.

During his appearance on the *PBD Podcast*, Howard told host Patrick Bet-David that he nearly dated the Grammy winner during her Destiny's Child days, but chose to go down a different path. Howard admitted "there was a moment" where he was "attracted" to and "felt something" for the *Lemonade* artist before she began her 20-plus year relationship with Jay-Z.

"We had a conversation, you know, and I ended up talking to the other girl inside of, you know, Destiny['s Child]. The girl with the blue eyes," he added, though he didn't name which member he was referring to. "That was very, very long ago."

Although Howard didn't name any names, the only member of Destiny's Child with eyes light enough to be mistaken for blue is Farrah Franklin. (Her eyes are actually green.)

Howard went on to recall the iconic Destiny's Child performance at the 2005 BET Awards, which saw the group — by then a trio composed of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams — pick three famous men from the audience to join them onstage for "Cater 2 U." Williams picked Magic Johnson, Rowland picked Nelly, and Beyoncé picked Howard.

"I remember Beyoncé looking over at me, and I think that's why she picked me to do that dance, when she did the kind of strip tease dance that we did at BET or whatever, to show me what I had lost," the *Best Man* star said.

Beyoncé is now a mother to three children with Jay-Z, with whom she tied the knot with in 2008. Howard, meanwhile, has been married four times and is a father to five kids.

Howard's career and personal life has been full of ups and downs, and he now admits that his "aggression" and "need to be a man" cost him many opportunities. In his *PBD *interview, he cites a conversation with Denzel Washington that gave him new perspective.

"He told me, 'Look at your hands, your fists are all balled up,'" Howard said of Washington believing that he was always ready to fight. "'All of these producers are trying to open your hand so they can put money in it, but you won't do it — you keep your hands all tight. And you're blowing it.'"
