- *Jeopardy *is celebrating its 62nd birthday by offering one lucky fan the chance at winning $6,200 and a contestant spot on the show.

- Fans who wish to become the big JeoparDAY winner must take the 50-question *Jeopardy *Anytime Test to qualify.

- Past Anytime Test winner Scott Riccardi walked away with $458,000 in earnings in 2025, becoming the 18th highest-earning winner in *Jeopardy *history.

Happy JeoparDAY to all who celebrate.

*Jeopardy*, the beloved primetime game show now hosted by former champ Ken Jennings, celebrates its 62nd birthday on Monday. Thats right, the very first episode of the quiz show that still captivates America aired back on March 30, 1964, hosted then by Art Fleming.

In honor of the big day, *Jeopardy* is offering one lucky fan the chance to win $6,200, and potentially appear as a contestant on the show. That is, if they can pass a special test. This is *Jeopardy*, of course.

"As part of an annual tradition started in 2022, we celebrate JeoparDAY! on March 30," reads an announcement on the *Jeopardy *website. "This year, we are giving fans the chance to win $6,200 in celebration of our 62nd birthday. Take the JeoparDAY! Giveaway Test to enter for a chance to win, and for a shot at becoming our next BIG champion."

Contestants must be at least 18 years old, and a citizen of the United States or Canada to enter. If you so choose to undergo the eligibility process, you'll be submitted to the *Jeopardy!* Anytime Test, a 50-question quiz in which you'll have 15 seconds to come up with an answer to each *Jeopardy*-style clue.

If you pass that test, you'll be entered into a random selection process that will result in a single invitation to audition. Should you be selected for that audition and please the *Jeopardy *gods, you'll be placed into *another *contestant pool, and have to wait up to 24 months to hear whether you'll be invited to compete on the show or not. But if not, you'll at least walk away with $6,200!

*Jeopardy *first celebrated JeoparDAY in 2022, when the series turned 58. When *Jeopardy *hit 60 in 2024, it celebrated its diamond anniversary (and longtime announcer Johnny Gilbert's 9000th episode) with a jubilee of events, from a *Jeopardy *roadshow that traveled to college campuses across America, to the release of a limited line of new merchandise, and the return of the Anytime Test.

It may sound like passing that test merely throws you into an endlessly cycling tumbler of auditions that never result in a genuine callback, but it isn't so; Scott Riccardi, who became season 41's biggest money winner and the 18th highest earning winner in *Jeopardy *history in 2025, first made it onto the show after passing the Anytime Test. He ultimately walked away with $458,000 in earnings.

To take the *Jeopardy *Anytime Test, you can visit the *Jeopardy *website.
