Livvy Dunne is ready for action.

On Friday, March 13, the 23-year-old former Louisiana State University gymnast shared a few snapshots of her preparation for her upcoming role as Grace, a recurring junior lifeguard, in the Baywatch reboot.

"I'm not a lifeguard, but i play one on tv 🛟 @baywatchtv," she captioned a cheeky, four-photo Instagram carousel.

She started her post with a red bikini-clad photo of herself lounging on her belly. As the athlete soaked up the sun, she looked back at the camera, flashing a smile while reading her script.

Other images showed a screenshot of a formal announcement from a Deadline article, and a selfie of her beaming as she showed off her script once again.

"LETS GO BABY," her newly announced costar Brooks Nader commented. The 29-year-old model and reality star has been cast as Selene, "a sharp-tongued" lifeguard captain.

"Yes, you baddie!!!! Cant wait to work with you!!! 🔥😍❤️," Hassie Harrison added.

The original series, which debuted in 1989 and ran for 11 seasons, starred David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon, Carmen Electra as Lani McKenzie and Pamela Anderson as C.J. Parker.

It also featured Michael Newman as Michael "Newmie" Newman, Alexandra Paul as lifeguard Stephanie Holden, Nicole Eggert as Roberta "Summer" Quinn and Jeremy Jackson as Mitch Buchannon's young son, Hobie.

The reboot was first announced in September 2025, and will include Stephen Amell in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon, Shay Mitchell as Trina, a former lawyer who left a successful firm to be a full-time lifeguard, and David Chokachi returns to the franchise in his original role of Cody Madison.

Ahead of Dunne's casting news, the former college sports star spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about wanting a future in acting.

"One thing people would be surprised about is that I take acting lessons — and I really love it," Dunne told PEOPLE. "It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus."

Since she's graduated, now's the perfect time to pursue her passion.

Dunne later added, "Whether it's gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it's an individual thing or a group thing, I think it's so cool."

"The series reboot will celebrate the franchise's enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today's global audience," the official logline read when the reboot was announced. "Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California's shoreline."

An official airdate for the Fox TV series has not yet been announced.
