- Netflix's *Bridgerton* is a Regency-era series about the romantic follies of the noble Bridgerton family.

- Regé-Jean Page, Phoebe Dynevor, and Ruby Stokes are among the original stars who left the show.

- *Bridgerton *is currently airing its fourth season.

*Bridgerton*'s been sweeping fans off their feet since its 2020 debut with a deluge of steamy affairs, period coziness, and ensemble-driven drama. And, as you might expect from a story so steeped in scandal, that ensemble has seen its fair share of departures.

Several fan-favorite characters have taken their leave amid the pressures of love, duty, and society, and each exit has shaken up the delicate order of the ton.

Below, we take a look at 10 of the Netflix show's most notable cast exits, digging into why they stepped away and what they've been up to since leaving the Regency era.**

Regé-Jean Page seemed to blow up overnight thanks to his Emmy-nominated role as Simon Basset, a.k.a. the Duke of Hastings. He was the heart of the show's debut season, with viewers fawning over his romance with Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor).

Fans were shocked when Page announced his exit, which surprised executive producer Shonda Rhimes. "I don't know that I expected this much of an explosion, given that every book [in the *Bridgerton* series] is a different romance," she said in a 2021 interview with *Vanity Fair*. "What would be the ever-after of this combo? I mean, really: What would Regé-Jean do, you know what I mean? We gave them their happily ever after! And now we have this next couple coming."

Page, meanwhile, departed with grace, calling the experience a "pleasure and a privilege."

After leaving *Bridgerton*, Page found success on the big screen with the well-liked *Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves* (2023) and Steven Soderbergh's sexy spy thriller *Black Bag* (2025).

Coming up, he'll star opposite Halle Bailey in the romcom *You, Me & Tuscany*. He'll also return to Netflix for *Hancock Park*, a new series on which he'll also serve as an executive producer.

Sabrina Bartlett as Siena Rosso (season 1)

Sabrina Bartlett appears in *Bridgerton *season 1 as Siena Rosso, an opera singer who has a secret fling with Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). By the end of the season, Siena ends the affair for good and moves on with another man.

Julia Quinn, author of the *Bridgerton* book series, spoke with *Business Insider* in 2021 about how Siena helps set the stage for Anthony's season 2 arc. "I thought it was nice," she explained. "It helps build his character in a way to give it more depth than perhaps he got in the first book in the series."

In *Bridgerton *season 1, Ben Miller appears as Lord Archibald Featherington, the head of the Featherington family whose gambling issues spiral out of control. In a desperate bid to recover his losses, he's murdered after fixing a boxing match.

Speaking with Express in January 2026, Miller called *Bridgerton *"an incredible experience," adding, "It was such a huge show, and I've never really worked on anything as big as that before or since."

Still, Miller has stayed very busy. He played leading roles on shows like *Professor T. *(2021–present) and *Austin *(2024-present), and reprised his role as the Colonel in *Paddington in Peru *(2024).

On top of acting, Miller is the author of several children's books, including *Secrets of a Christmas Elf *(2022) and *Diary of a Wicked Witch* (2025).

Phoebe Dynevor rose to fame as Daphne Bassett (née Bridgerton), the Duchess of Hastings. Across two seasons, Dynevor's Daphne married Simon and welcomed a son, August "Augie" Basset.

In a January 2023 chat with *Variety*, Dynevor explained her decision to leave. "I've done what I wanted to do with that character and she had a great arc," she said. She left the door open for a return, saying, "If they ask me back in the future, who knows?"

Post-*Bridgerton*, Dynevor has focused on movies like the erotic thriller *Fair Play* (2023) and the star-studded political drama *Anniversary* (2025). You can next see her in *Remain*, an upcoming supernatural romance starring Jake Gyllenhaal from the odd couple of director M. Night Shyamalan and *The Notebook* author Nicholas Sparks.**

In a 2023 interview with *W *magazine, Stokes gushed about the show and her former costars, saying they were "so generous with their time, words, and advice."

*Lockwood & Co.* was cancelled after one season, but Stokes bounced back with roles on the British series *The Burning Girls *(2023) and *The Jetty *(2024). She also appeared in Noah Baumbach's *Jay Kelly* (2025).

The actress revealed in 2022 that she had been hospitalized due to mental health struggles, admitting that she'd been "really unwell for a really long time."

She added, "Sometimes you've just got to take a break and you've got to say, 'I just can't do this right now. I need support.'"

Following her exit, Barker appeared in the horror film *Baghead* (2024) and voiced a character on Netflix's *Asterix and Obelix: The Big Fight *(2025).

Lynch has since popped up on Prime Video's *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power *(2024) and led the dark comedy *Sweetpea* (2024). He'll next appear with Oscar winner Octavia Spencer on Prime Video's upcoming series *Ride or Die*.
