President Donald Trump says* Today* anchor Savannah Guthrie and her family have his support.

"I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family's, and Local Law Enforcement's, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY," Trump wrote on his Truth Social on Wednesday. "We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!"**

Savannah and her family have been searching for her mother, Nancy Guthrie, since Sunday. Nancy, 84, was last seen at her home in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday night.

By Monday, a public information officer for the sheriff's department told * *that "investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction."

Trump, who has historically not been fond of journalists, particularly those who are women, made a phone call to Savannah, following his interview on Wednesday's edition of *NBC Nightly News*.

"We also want to mention," anchor Tom Llamas said, "after our interview, the president called Savannah Guthrie and spoke to her, offering words of support for her and her family as they search for her mother."**

Llamas reported that Savannah had thanked the president for the effort that federal and local officials have put into the case.**

The same day, the journalist and her siblings, Camron and Annie, posted a video in which they addressed both their mother and any person or persons responsible for her going missing.

"We, too, have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media," Savannah said. "As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her."
