Alix Earle's reality series will show a new side to the influencer

After announcing on Jan. 21 that she and her family were starring in a new reality series all about their life, the influencer has opened up about the filming process

In a recent YouTube vlog, Alix touched on the different ways that the show was impacting her family's relationships, including her and her stepmom, Ashley Dupré

Alix Earle is continuing to tease her upcoming reality series. After announcing the news of her latest endeavor — a new reality TV series that will follow Earle, her family and her host of internet-famous friends — the content creator, 25, has continued to provide her fans with peeks into how the filming and production process. In her most recent YouTube vlog, the influencer chatted to the camera about everything from friendship breakup advice to what fans can expect as the series continues to film.Earle touched on what it's been like to lose control of the editing process with the show, admitting she's feeling nervous about how she and her relationships will be portrayed on the small screen."The parts where I'm like saying nice things or like retracting what I'm saying, I'm like that's definitely, probably, not getting in the edit. So I think it's just scary how things can be edited and portrayed. That's at least what I've heard from a lot of people."Earle specifically called out the way that the reality show's filming was impacting her family's relationships with each other.

"When there's an issue... you have to go up and talk to them and figure out the issue," Earle explained of how the show had forced her family to confront each other when problems arose. "Sometimes we'll just sweep things under the rug and we're like, let's not disturb the peace of the family.""It's kind of like we're in family therapy," Earle then said of being on TV. "You've really got to talk through all the issues and like have conversations face to face with people."Earl also mentioned that she and her stepmother, Ashley Dupré, had been having a lot of conversations as a result of the filming as well.

"I would say too, me and my stepmom have been having to have a lot of conversations [about] our relationship, and it's been good. It's been scary. There's like also been drama with that," she said."I can't imagine how it all comes together," she added.

Earle's parents Alisa and Thomas Earle split when Earle was in second grade. On a Sept. 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy, Earle recounted the moment she came home from school to find paparazzi outside her house after the news broke that Dupré and Thomas were having an affair.Dupré was previously at the center of a scandal in 2008 when then-New York governor Eliot Spitzer was investigated by the FBI after he was caught spending money on an escort service. Dupré, who was 23 at the time, turned out to be the escort hired through the service and became the subject of national scrutiny.Earle has been open in the past about feeling nervous about putting herself out to the public on a platform that is different from her usual social media channels, and she echoed those sentiments in this most recent post, before going on to say that she felt, so far, the show had been "really good at just portraying like the behind the scenes of everything, like my life, my family, business, relationships."

Earle also recently spoke with PEOPLE about what these past few years have looked like for her, as she continues to expand her business endeavors and connect with her audience on different platforms and formats.

"I know my audience the best," Earle told PEOPLE, as she elaborated on what she's learned about herself over the last few years, as she had continued to explode in popularity.

"I think it's hard sometimes to want to believe or trust other people's creative visions or input on something, but at the end of the day, I do trust myself with knowing what will go over the best with my audience and what they're gonna wanna see and what they're gonna respond well to."
