Pop star and producer Charlie Puth is stepping deeper into the tech side of music. The Grammy-nominated artist has joined the AI music platform Moises in a new leadership role, signaling a growing collaboration between musicians and creative technology. The partnership focuses on using artificial intelligence as a tool to support artists rather than replace them.
Charlie Puth assumes new role at AI music platform Moises
Charlie Puth has stepped into a new gig as Moises' Chief Music Officer. In the role, he will help steer the platform's creative direction and weigh in on how its products evolve. The company announced the news on Wednesday, explaining that Puth will work closely with the team to shape new features and rethink how musicians use its AI-driven tools in their day-to-day workflows.
The platform already packs a lineup of smart production helpers. Artists can split vocals from tracks, isolate individual instruments, and use built-in mastering tools to polish their sound. These features make it easier for musicians to practice, remix songs, or break down recordings while learning. Unlike some newer AI platforms that generate full songs, Moises keeps its focus on assisting creators by supporting the recording and practice process.

Puth said he has been using the app for years while working on music. According to him, the technology simplifies tasks that once required expensive studio sessions or hours of manual editing. "I've been using Moises in my own creative process for years, as have many of my friends," Puth said in a statement. "It opens up possibilities that used to take hours or expensive studio setups, whether that's isolating vocals to study technique or experimenting with arrangements in real time," he added (via Hollywood Reporter).
Puth continued, "AI, when done right, isn't here to replace musicians. It's here to help artists learn, explore, and bring their ideas to life." Moises CEO Geraldo Ramos echoed that vision. He said music technology has always evolved alongside new tools, and AI should support, not overshadow, human creativity.
