Rosie O’Donnell went the extra mile to try to adapt to her nonbinary child’s pronouns, though she continues to struggle to remember despite having a reminder inked on her skin.

The former View co-host appeared on the latest episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, where she revealed she had the word “they” tattooed on her left wrist in the handwriting of her 13-year-old kid, Clay, who uses they/them pronouns.

“It’s very hard, honey,” O’Donnell admitted when asked about being conscious of using the correct pronouns after Clay, formerly known as Dakota, came out as nonbinary in 2024.

Poehler said that she loves that O’Donnell is “constantly correcting herself in real time,” highlighting how it shows how the comedian cares.

“It really matters to them, and I know it matters to them,” the A League of Their Own star stated. “And so when they first told me that it was they/them, I tried my best, but I kept saying ‘she.'”

O’Donnell revealed that Clay wrote “they” on a piece of cardboard and started to hold it up above their head any time she made a mistake. “Like John Cusack in Say Anything with the boombox, just staring at me.”

This inspired O’Donnell to take the piece of cardboard to a tattoo parlor and get the word “they” tattooed on her wrist. “So I would never forget, it would remind me,” she explained. Despite the loving gesture, Clay didn’t seem to care one way or another.

“I thought she’d be very touched… she didn’t give two s***s. She could not care less,” O’Donnell recalled before realizing she’d screwed up again. “And I just said ‘she’ again… in the ‘they’ story! I messed it up.”

O’Donnell adopted Clay in 2013 while married to her second wife, Michelle Rounds, who died by suicide in 2017. The multi-time Daytime Emmy winner also has four other adopted children: Parker (31), Chelsea (28), Blake (26), and Vivienne (23), from her first marriage to Kelli Carpenter.

Following Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January 2025, O’Donnell moved from the United States to Ireland with Clay. “When it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,” she told her TikTok followers last year.

O’Donnell recently completed a short run of her one-woman show, Common Knowledge, in New York City. Starting next week, Monday, August 17, she will be guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Taylor Swift made one of her first public appearances after her July 3 wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.

On August 12, the singer stepped out in London with what appeared to be a post-wedding chop.

Meanwhile, Kelce is at Kansas City Chiefs training camp, preparing for the upcoming season with the team.

Here comes the bride—and she’s got a post-wedding chop, it seems.

Taylor Swift was spotted out in London on August 12—one of the first sightings of the singer since her July 3 wedding to Travis Kelce at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The “Opalite” singer’s hair, while still that signature ashy blonde with bangs, seemed shorter than it did the last time she was seen in public.

As her Kansas City Chiefs tight end husband (still fun to say) Kelce is at training camp, Swift hopped across the pond. She was photographed leaving Annabell’s, a private members-only club, around midnight in a floral lilac Delphine minidress. She paired the dress—which was adorned with metallic florals, according to Page Six—with a crystal-covered Christian Louboutin bag, embellished Aquazzura stilettos, and, of course, her signature red lip. (Swift’s marital status may have just changed, but not her preferred shade of lip color.)

The other time Swift was seen post-wedding was at football player JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk’s wedding on July 10, exactly one week after Swift and Kelce tied the knot. For that occasion—and as the world waited to see her wedding dress—Swift wore a floor-length pink floral gown by Markarian.

On Wednesday, newlywed Kelce described his wedding to Swift as the “best night of my life,” calling it “a crazy night” and adding it “was full of a lot of celebration.” He also, poignantly, called the Grammy winner his “wife” for the first time publicly.

A source told People that Swift and Kelce were “beaming” all night at their star-studded nuptials, which hosted roughly 1,000 guests. “A huge smile never left either of their faces,” the insider said.

As the world still waits with bated breath to see Swift’s custom Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, a source told the outlet that the bespoke creation was “perfectly Taylor.” The dress had a “long veil and train,” and the source added, “She looked so beautiful. It didn’t stray from her style.”

In addition to her Dior gown, Swift also wore Christian Louboutin heels and Cartier jewelry, according to a statement released soon after she said, “I do.” Camille Kostik, a guest at the wedding, told People that Swift “literally was like a real-life princess in her custom Dior.”

A friend described The Life of a Showgirl singer as “absolutely glowing and floating around the room” at her wedding, telling People, “I didn’t see her stop smiling once.”

“All of us close to her know how long she’s wanted her happily ever after, and Travis is absolutely her Prince Charming,” the friend added. “It was just the perfect celebration for their fairytale love story.”

Aug 13 (Reuters) - Databricks said on Thursday it had raised $5 billion at a $190 billion valuation, as the data and artificial intelligence software company looks to expand investments in products that help businesses build and manage AI applications.

The funding comes six months after Databricks was valued at about $134 billion in a previous round, as investor demand for companies tied to the AI boom remains strong.

The latest round was led by existing investors Coatue, Blackstone, MGX and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price, along with new investor Sixth Street Growth.

Databricks also said it had surpassed a $7 billion annualized revenue run-rate and posted more than 80% year-over-year revenue growth in the second quarter. The company said it remained cash-flow positive on an adjusted basis over the last 12 months.

Founded in 2013, Databricks provides software that helps companies store, manage and analyze data, as well as develop AI applications. The company competes with Snowflake and is widely viewed as a candidate for a future stock market listing.

The San Francisco-based company said it would use the proceeds to invest in products, including its Lakebase database, Genie AI assistant and Unity AI Gateway platform.

Its Lakebase product has exceeded a $100 million revenue run-rate, while its Lakehouse data warehousing business surpassed a $1.5 billion revenue run-rate, the company said.

The Harrigans are back and ready for action.

On Thursday, Aug. 13, Paramount+ dropped a new trailer for MobLand’s second season, starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.

In the action-packed preview, Hardy’s Harry Da Souza is on a mission to save the Harrigan family (Brosnan and Mirren) and their empire, and warns them that the family is “in a death spiral.” It then cuts to clips of thrown punches, Mirren taking aim with a gun and later taking a sip of wine as she reacts to the observation.

“We are surrounded by sharks, ripe for the picking,” Hardy’s Da Souza says. “If you ask me, it’s already begun.”

The footage then shows a look at Brosnan’s Conrad Harrigan going “completely bonkers, berserk,” telling adversaries that he’ll “give you a war” and eventually screaming in the middle of a business with Mirren’s Maeve Harrigan by his side.

“We are the Harrigans! If you don’t know the name, google us,” he threatens, before turning a gun on a man.

Season 2 of MobLand also stars Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Jasmine Jobson, TJohnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan and Toby Jones.

Per a synopsis, it finds the spiraling family members as they “struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable ‘fixer,’ must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify.”

“As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy,” the description continues.

The season 2 trailer follows an earlier teaser trailer, which promised a few other bloody brawls.

It arrived months after Deadlineand Variety reported in May that Hardy would not return for a potential third season, with outlets citing alleged tension behind the scenes. Variety later reported that Hardy was not fired from the show. Reps for Hardy, Paramount and 101 Studios did not respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment at the time.

Days later, Mirren publicly supported her costar by sharing an image of him to Instagram: “Love you now and always,” she wrote.

Hardy, 48, previously told Parade in April 2025 that working with Brosnan, 73, and Mirren, 81, was “wonderful” and that he “always admired” their work. “To be able to watch them do something I think they’re brilliant in and to be part of that experience is fantastic,” he said. “They’re great, brilliant actors. Super talented, and they’ve done so much great work. It’s an absolute joy to be able to work with Pierce and Helen.”

The first season of MobLand is available to stream on Paramount+. Season 2 arrives Sept. 18 on Paramount+. New episodes will be available to stream on Fridays with a season finale arriving Nov. 20.

Taylor Swift has added another feather to her cap after being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. The organization announced the news on Tuesday, August 11, revealing that the 36-year-old Grammy winner has become the youngest-ever songwriter to receive the prestigious honor. The milestone comes as her husband, Travis Kelce, prepares for the upcoming NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Taylor Swift has joined the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as her husband, Travis Kelce, prepares for his return to the Kansas City Chiefs for his 14th NFL season. Mark Ford, executive director of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, shared this year’s inductees in a livestream. He also read a heartwarming note from the Grammy winner (via Variety).

She gushed: “From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be. I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully, Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of.”

Swift added, “A town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination. Where the writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t. To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”

Interestingly, Swift was previously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York in June, once again becoming the youngest female songwriter to receive the prestigious honor. Nashville’s latest recognition celebrates songwriters who have captivated audiences for at least 20 years, making the achievement even more significant as Swift marks the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut album.

For the unversed, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame was established in 1970 and had 254 members before this announcement. Fans lavished praise on her in the comments section. One fan commented: “The songwriter of the millennium, & an inspiration to every upcoming artist.”

A second fan wrote: “Congrats to Taylor on 20 years! This woman is insane. 12 albums and 4 rerecordings in just 20 years, and she is only 36 years old. Truly the example of when a god-gifted person works hard. You become the G.O.A.T.”
