Chiefs DB Nohl Williams discusses his increased role heading into 2026

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Nohl Williams spoke with the media on Tuesday at mandatory minicamp. He revealed comfort level and increased role heading into next season.

"For sure, way more comfortable than last year. I would say that I've gained – the terminology is easier, it's more ingrained into my brain now – the scheme," said Williams, "The second year in the defense, you should catch on, or you're not studying."

The departures of veteran starters Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson have opened up opportunities for Williams to stand out in his second year.

"I'm still attacking it the same. I attack it even harder now," said Williams, "You know, I would be lying if (I said) they don't expect a lot from me, but I'm ready for it. I'm prepared; I'm going to keep preparing still in the offseason and going into training camp, so (I) just got to keep preparing."

Williams finished his rookie season with 48 total tackles and seven pass deflections in 17 games played.

- Whoopi Goldberg called Sunny Hostin's claim "ridiculous" after she said Donald Trump caused the New York Knicks to lose Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night.

- Trump, who attended the game in New York, was loudly booed by fans at Madison Square Garden.

- "We had an impeccable vibe in New York until the orange man showed up," Hostin said.

Whoopi Goldberg has long blamed Donald Trump for many misfortunes in America — but the New York Knicks' loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals isn't one of them.

*The View* moderator and actress pushed back against speculation — including from her cohost Sunny Hostin — that the president's heavily maligned in-person appearance at Monday night's NBA matchup led to "ending the Knicks' winning streak" during the finals.

"No, no, no, come on, now," the 70-year-old said after the audience cheered in agreement. "They were not playing great ball. That's on us. This guy, I have to reiterate the fact that this man does not have that kind of power. We have to remind people."

The camera cut to Hostin, who contorted her face into a skeptical expression as Goldberg continued.

"I see your face and I know how you feel, and you can say what you want," Goldberg advised. "But, by saying that it's his fault that we lost means that there's no responsibility taken. These guys were not playing at their best."

Goldberg turned the conversation over to her cohosts with a final note about security checks leading to increased frustrations near the Madison Square Garden arena, with Hostin saying that local businesses also suffered from the congestion.

"I think there are a lot of conspiracies going around," Hostin said, later explaining that "all of these things may be in play, but for me, what is also in play is that we had an impeccable vibe in New York until the orange man showed up and put the bad juju on the Madison Square Garden."

Guest cohost Sheryl Underwood said she agreed with the sentiment, with Goldberg telling Hostin, "That's ridiculous." Hostin continued, telling the audience that officials would have to "sage the whole Madison Square Garden to get all the bad juju out" after Trump's appearance.

"It cost New York millions of dollars [for him to] come to the game where he was not cheered, where he was booed, and he fell asleep," Hostin said, after many speculated that Trump actually dozed off during the game.

"Fall asleep somewhere else, don't bring your bad karma vibe to New York," Hostin continued, while Underwood asked, "Why didn't he just stay his ass in D.C. and watch from the house? Watch from the house like other Americans watch from the house!"

** has reached out to the White House for comment.

Trump's appearance at the NBA Finals in New York was met with a loud chorus of boos inside Madison Square Garden. The president was poorly received, with Knicks fans making it clear they disapproved of him being there.

After the game, Trump reacted to the boos while he spoke to reporters.

"You mean when they had the camera on me?" Trump said, fumbling for words. "I thought it was very good, yeah. It was certainly amazing."

- Steven Spielberg says he "would not be the right person" to serve as an ambassador for humanity when we meet aliens.

- The filmmaker says that he "would really look forward to" a real-life *Disclosure Day*.

- He also says that he should be "afforded the opportunity" to witness a UFO or UAP after making so many alien movies.

Steven Spielberg thinks he deserves to see an alien — but he doesn't want to be an ambassador for all mankind.

The *Jaws* filmmaker shares his attitude toward the idea of meeting aliens in an interview with **.

"I would not be the right person to be the first person to interact with the off-world species," Spielberg says. "I think it's much, much more complicated than that."

The *Raiders of the Lost Ark* director's latest film, *Disclosure Day*, revolves around whistleblowers who attempt to expose the decades-long history of aliens interacting with humankind. Spielberg thinks that an actual disclosure day — that is, a day in which the alleged secret-keepers declassify all human knowledge about extraterrestrial life — would be a great step forward for our species.

"Just knowing someday that that could be an opportunity for all of us to see something like *Disclosure Day* actually happening in the world — that would be the day I would really look forward to," he says.

*Disclosure Day* is far from Spielberg's first project that grapples with the existence of alien life. He previously depicted benevolent non-human space travelers in 1977's *Close Encounters of the Third Kind* and 1982's *E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial*, and also explored the idea of violent alien invaders in 2005's *War of the Worlds*. (2008's *Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull* also featured UFO imagery, but the fellas driving the flying saucers were technically explained as "inter-dimensional beings" and not visitors from outer space.)

'Disclosure Day' first reactions: Here's the early buzz on Steven Spielberg’s UFO conspiracy thriller

Emily Blunt in 'Disclosure Day'

Spielberg thinks that his robust history with alien characters should at least give him a glimpse of *something* signifying aliens' actual existence. "I'm not asking to see aliens in real life," he says. "I'm saying with all the movies I made about non-human civilizations coming to Earth, I should be afforded the opportunity just to see one Tic Tac. I mean, just a Tic Tac would be fine by now!"

The filmmaker's invocation of a Tic Tac is a reference to a mysterious unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) that two Navy F/A-18F fighter jets encountered in a 2004 incident that was publicized in a bombshell 2017 *New York Times* article about the government's research into alien phenomena.

"It was probably the best footage anyone had ever seen of a UAP," Spielberg explains during a separate interview for EW's *Disclosure Day* cover story. "And suddenly things started to happen quite quickly. It took a number of years until the House Intelligence Committee held hearings on UAPs in 2023, where witnesses testified under oath before a bipartisan congressional committee and the American public, which was the second wave of disclosure."

The Carolina Hurricanes made a change in net for Tuesday night's Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Carolina gave rookie Brandon Bussi his first career playoff start as the Hurricanes look to level the series at 2-2 in Las Vegas, with the announcement becoming shortly before the game began.

ESPN reported that Frederik Andersen, who was 12-1 in the team's first three playoff series, is a healthy scratch with no injury designation.

Andersen allowed four second-period goals in Saturday's Game 3 loss. He was replaced at the start of the third period by Bussi, who stopped 18 of 19 shots as the Hurricanes rallied before falling 5-4 in double overtime.

Bussi, 27, was acquired off waivers from the Florida Panthers last October. He entered the season with no NHL experience, but became a critical member of the Hurricanes' goalie rotation, amassing a 31-6-2 record, 2.47 goals-against average and .895 save percentage.

"I don't need excuses to justify anything I do or say," Fields tells PEOPLE

Cirie Fields is standing by her vote.

The Survivor legend, who appeared on the reality competition series' milestone 50th season this year, caught up with PEOPLE at Tribeca Festival's Survivor 50th Season Anniversary Panel on Saturday, June 6 about another season in the books.

During the event, Fields, 55, responded to critiques from fellow series star Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano about her decision to vote for winner Aubry Bracco during the finale. Mariano, 50, questioned in a Wednesday, June 4 interview with Parade if Fields' and Ozzy Lusth's explanations for voting for Bracco were "excuses."

"I'll be 56 years old in July," Fields says. "I don't need excuses to justify anything I do or say. Never have, never will. Period."

On May 20, Bracco won Survivor 50 in an 8-3-0 jury vote and took home the season's $2 million prize. Fields left with the $100,000 Sia Fan Favorite prize, which was voted on by viewers.

Weeks later, Mariano told Parade that he found it "interesting" that Fields and other voters discussed Bracco playing "the middle" during her winning season. "Years ago, that would be considered being called a coattail rider. She rode someone's coattails, and that was looked down upon, and now it's being revered," Mariano said. "So, I wonder, is that something they actually revere, or is that the excuse they're giving to be able to justify their vote? To say she played the middle really well, because they didn't want to vote for Jonathan [Young], or they didn't want to vote for Joe [Hunter], so they wanted to vote for Aubry. 'What's the excuse we can use for Aubry?'"

Mariano then explained that he didn't want his comments to "take away from Aubry's win."

"I do believe she should have won. But it's interesting. I think [it's] a lesson in psychology, how everybody tells themselves the stories they want to hear and that's always been the way. And I think in the moment, I think you don't have to say anything. As a jury member, you can say whatever you want. But I think in their mind sometimes they feel that justifying it makes it logical," he said.

Elsewhere during her chat with PEOPLE, Fields — who finished the season in sixth place — reflected on the "awesome" experience. Fields is now a six-time Survivor competitor, making her debut on the franchise during 2006's Survivor: Panama.

"It was an amazing ride so it's kind of like you get happy and sad feelings because it came so quickly even though we filmed a year ago and it's over," she says of Survivor 50. "Wow, that was amazing. And there are lots of memories, so I find myself frequently remembering things from the island, things from the finale — all pleasant though."

As for what's next for Fields, she says "there's so much" ahead for her after her run on Survivor 50. "This has been the best year and continues to be one of the best years of my life. So please just stay tuned," she says. "... There may be other shows, there may be some commercials. There's a lot going on."

Survivor 50 can be streamed in full on Paramount+. PEOPLE's 50 Seasons of Survivor special issue is available on newsstands.

There are plenty of events happening around Nashville during CMA Fest, but Billboard counted itself among the best thanks to their Country Live concert series.

Held at Category 10, Luke Combs' massive downtown Nashville venue, the event saw the publication take over the bar, restaurant and concert hall for two days of electrifying performances, giveaways and a continuation of country music traditions.

On Thursday, June 4, The Red Clay Strays headlined the event, with Carly Pearce, Chase Rice, Corey Kent, Drew Baldridge, Hunter Hayes, Lanie Gardner, The Band Perry, The Grimm and Ty Myers providing support. For its second day, on Friday, June 5, Tucker Wetmore served as headliner, with support from Alana Springsteen, Alexandra Kay,Ashley Cooke, Braxton Keith, Kaitlin Butts, Priscilla Block, Something Out West and Stella Lefty.

Pearce made a surprise appearance on Thursday, which was announced the morning of the show. Through performances of tracks like "Truck on Fire," "What He Didn't Do" and "I Hope You're Happy Now," she affirmed her status as a powerhouse vocalist in the space. Another standout moment came when Baldridge took the stage and announced his new album FARM FAITH FAMILY to attendees, debuting his new release "Diesel and Dirt" as well.

To close out the first evening, The Red Clay Strays treated fans to only their second-ever performance on Broadway, playing tracks such as "Wanna Be Loved" and "No One Else Like Me."

The energy continued on the event's second day, with Lefty bringing out surprise guests Dan + Shay for a performance of their infectious hit track "Tequila." Additionally, Matt Rife joined Cooke as her special guest on stage for "Baby Blues," creating a viral, steamy moment between the two stars. Other moments from the day included a rousing performance of the Kesha classic "Hunt You Down," which Butts has recorded her own version of, and a performance by the Tennessee Titans Blue Crew, featuring Chloe Holladay Hubbard.

To cap off the event as a whole, Wetmore took to the stage to serenade fans with the likes of "Proving Me Right," "Wine Into Whiskey," "3,2,1," "Wind Up Missin' You," and "Brunette." Once the main event wrapped, the Country Live after party featured a surprise appearance from Avery Anna's alter ego, Lil Debbie.

With so much going on during CMA Fest weekend, it's often difficult to decide which events deserve one's time and attention. However, Billboard has succeeded at creating a space where regular fans feel included, and prioritized, in the CMA Fest process.

Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano are one of the most iconic mother-daughter pairings in all of pop culture history, but the adorable spark that eventually ignited between them nearly set the entire *RuPaul's Drag Race* set ablaze during the first few days of filming.

The season 6 icons stopped by the latest episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast, where Delano revealed to hosts Joey Nolfi and Jillian Sederholm that, despite their love for each other now, she initially asked the crew to maintain distance between them.

"I remember telling the producers to keep Bianca away from me because I hated her," Delano reveals as Del Rio cackles in the background. "We didn't meet each other until the second day. I've never been wrong about my winners. I'm obsessed with the show, I always clock them.... as soon as I met Bianca, I was like, 'F—, Goddammit, she's winning!'"

The pair quickly became fan favorites across what's typically regarded as one of the best seasons in *Drag Race* history, and their friendship has since grown after the cameras stopped rolling. Hungry viewers, however, have often called for Del Rio — whom RuPaul ultimately crowned as America's Next Drag Superstar back in 2014 — to return to the set for a long-speculated winner's season, though the whip-smart comedian says such a comeback is unlikely.

"It's a different element," Del Rio observes of the show's evolution, as the Emmy-winning series has skewed its aesthetic toward a younger — yet no less spectacular — crop of queens in recent years, who've amassed large social media followings prior to competing. "First of all and foremost, I'll say it here, no one has ever officially asked me from [production company] World of Wonder.... in interviews I've always said no. Why would I go back to [the training ground of] high school? There's a reason each person won their season. It's a different vehicle. I don't think I'd be cast, I don't think I'd be interested in doing it now, because the game has changed... It's just a different world. So rather than saying I don't get it because I'm old, I'll say it's not for me! I don't think I'd survive this time around!"

Hear Del Rio and Delano spill more season 6 tea above, including their thoughts on Laganja Estranja's wild ride through *Drag Race*, Del Rio's attempts at "sexy" drag, the physical altercation that *almost* happened, and which queen trolled a friend by convincing them *Drag Race* only allowed the cast to eat yogurt during production. And be sure to stay tuned through the very end of the episode for Del Rio's very first "single" as a "recording artist."

*EW's BINGE* podcast on *RuPaul's Drag Race* — available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you find your favorite shows — returns Thursday with Trixie Mattel, Katya, and Ginger Minj for a full season 7 recap.
