In something of an identity crisis, the Los Angeles Rams will be out to lock down a favorable playoff matchup when they host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Inglewood, Calif., in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Once riding high as the first NFC team to clinch a playoff spot, the Rams (11-5) are on a two-game losing streak that has taken them out of the running for the NFC West title and reduced them to no better than the No. 5 playoff seed.

Instead of playing a simple playoff tune-up against one of the worst teams in the NFC, the Rams face the Cardinals (3-13) at a crossroads. They can look either like a team that simply peaked in early December or a dangerous wild-card entry capable of running the table in the postseason.

Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay is taking no chances. He already has said the Rams' regulars will be in action against the Cardinals.

If the Seattle Seahawks defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, then Los Angeles will land the No. 5 seed with a win. That will put the Rams on the road to open the playoffs with a less daunting challenge against the NFC South champion.

A 49ers win or a Rams loss makes Los Angeles the No. 6 seed with a visit to either Chicago or Philadelphia ahead in the wild-card round.

"Just because you play good one week doesn't mean you're going to play good the next and vice versa," Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford said. "I'm just going to go out there and continue to trust what we've done all year."

Stafford has thrown a franchise-record 42 touchdown passes, but he threw a season-high three interceptions in a 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday that was a blow to his MVP chances. He also had two interceptions in a Nov. 30 loss at Carolina. He tossed just two picks in the Rams' first 11 games.

"We wouldn't be in a lot of the great situations we're in without him, but ... he's capable of playing better," McVay said of Stafford's most recent performance.

Los Angeles running back Blake Corum (ankle) did not practice Wednesday after an injury that occurred against the Falcons. It might afford running opportunities for Ronnie Rivers behind Kyren Williams.

Wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) and offensive lineman Kevin Dotson (ankle) also missed practice, while tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle) was designated for a return from injured reserve and was a full participant. Adams is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game.

The Cardinals are playing out the string in a disappointing season that has them on an eight-game losing streak following a 37-14 road loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday.

Quarterback Kyler Murray is done for the season with a foot injury sustained in a devastating Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans, who scored 16 fourth-quarter points.

Jacoby Brissett has taken over and completed 64.5% of his passes in 13 games (11 starts) with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

At issue has been a Cardinals defense that has allowed 35.0 points per game during the current losing streak. That includes allowing a season-high 45 points to the Rams in a Dec. 7 blowout loss.

"Those guys, they know. They'll maximize their last opportunity here," Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said of his team. "... They want to go play well for their teammates and try to win a game."

Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (left foot) was ruled out on Wednesday while safety Kitan Crawford (ankle) and linebacker Josh Sweat (ankle/knee) missed practice.

The New England Patriots clinched the AFC East championship last week and have a chance to lock up the conference's top seed -- and with it a first-round bye and home-field advantage until the Super Bowl -- if it can beat division rival Miami on Sunday afternoon in Foxborough, Mass.

The Patriots (13-3), who can win 14 games in a season for the first time since 2016 when they won Super Bowl LI, can clinch the top seed with a win over the Dolphins (7-9) and a loss or tie by the Denver Broncos against the L.A. Chargers.

While New England would like this pursuit to be its sole focus this week, the team is dealing with legal issues surrounding two key players -- receiver Stefon Diggs and defensive tackle Christian Barmore.

The Patriots were fresh off celebrating their first division title since 2019 when reports surfaced of Diggs facing charges of felony strangulation or suffocation, and misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an incident that took place on Dec. 2. Diggs is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 23.

In an unrelated incident, Barmore faces a misdemeanor charge of one count of assault and battery on a family/household member alleged to have occurred on Aug. 8.

New England coach Mike Vrabel said before the team's practice Wednesday he hadn't heard anything that would keep either player from being available to play against Miami, though Diggs' status for the postseason remains unclear.

"It means that everybody that we care about and that we have been close to for a while ... means that we support, and we do," Vrabel said. "We understand that there's allegations, but we also want to support each and every player, and each and every coach, and each and every staff member."

The Patriots' tumultuous week comes after a stress-free 42-10 victory over the New York Jets during which quarterback Drake Maye threw a career-high five touchdown passes. Maye threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another in Week 2 when the Patriots beat the Dolphins 33-27 in Miami.

Since being eliminated from postseason consideration, the Dolphins have turned their focus toward their future over the past two weeks. That has included benching starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Rookie Quinn Ewers is expected to make his third career start -- and first on the road -- on Sunday. After struggling during a 45-21 loss to Cincinnati in which he threw two interceptions, Ewers bounced back last week and led Miami to a 20-17 win over Tampa Bay. Ewers tossed his first two touchdown passes, committed no turnovers and completed 14 of 22 passes for 172 yards.

"It's what I always dreamed of is playing in this league at the highest level in this position, and it's special whenever you've got a group of guys like we do this year," Ewers said. "We're not playing for a Super Bowl, so I thought we did a really good job of coming out here and playing for each other and playing for our last names and playing for the organization."

The Dolphins took the pressure off Ewers by again running the football effectively, led by Pro Bowler De'Von Achane. The third-year pro has rushed for 1,350 yards and caught a team-high 67 passes for 488 yards. Achane's rushing yardage is the third-most in a single season in Dolphins history behind Ricky Williams, who rushed for a league-high 1,853 yards in 2002 and 1,372 yards in 2003.

The Patriots had several players who didn't practice on Wednesday, including Barmore due to an illness. The others were tight ends Hunter Henry (knee) and Jack Westover (ankle), linebackers Harold Landry III (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle), defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga (foot) and guard Jared Wilson (concussion). Cornerback Alex Austin (wrist), receiver Kayshon Boutte (concussion), linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson (illness) and offensive tackles Morgan Moses (rest) and Thayer Munford Jr. (illness) were limited.

For the Dolphins, Achane (shoulder), linebacker Jordyn Brooks (hamstring), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf), tight end Darren Waller (groin), receiver Jaylen Waddle (ribs) and linebacker Chop Robinson (concussion) did not practice Wednesday. Center Aaron Brewer (neck) and kicker Jason Sanders (right hip) were limited.

NFL fans know Joe Burrow is a true franchise quarterback, one of the few elite players who can lift up an entire team and immediately make it a contender. Despite the presence of Burrow, however, the Cincinnati Bengals haven't made the playoffs in three seasons.

That's quite the feat, one that hasn't gone unnoticed by Burrow, who advocated for "change" within the organization Wednesday, per ESPN.

"We don't want to be in the spot we are in now, so something's got to change," Burrow said Wednesday. "Whether it's players we have continuing to improve and get better and play championship-caliber football or bringing in guys that will or whatever it may be. Obviously, something has to [change]."

[Get more Bengals news: Cincinnati team feed]

It marks yet another eyebrow-raising comment by the 29-year-old Burrow over the past few weeks. With the Bengals in the midst of their worst season since 2020, Burrow has been vocal about his enjoyment of the game and admitted he's considered a future where he's no longer a Bengal.

Burrow kept his "change" comments centered on players, saying either those currently on the team need to take a step forward or the organization needs to bring in championship-caliber talent to lift the team back into the playoffs.

While Burrow didn't mention coaching or front-office upheaval, there may be some Bengals fans who believe that could be the necessary "change" to push the Bengals back into contention. Under head coach Zac Taylor, the Bengals have been criticized for their slow starts. While he led the team to a Super Bowl in his third season, the fact that Taylor has failed to take a Burrow-led team to the playoffs in three straight years is a concern.

Burrow, however, isn't completely blameless in his team's failure to make the postseason the past three seasons. When healthy, Burrow is undoubtedly an elite quarterback. But various injuries have prevented him from leading the Bengals to glory. Burrow missed seven games in 2023 due to a wrist issue and nine this season with a toe injury. Both injuries essentially sunk the team's chances in those seasons.

Keeping Burrow healthy and upright would go a long way toward the Bengals returning to the Super Bowl in the next couple seasons. The team's front office was criticized for not doing enough last offseason to strengthen its offensive line. Those critiques were immediately validated after Burrow went down in Week 2 with his injury.

Because of that, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Burrow is advocating for change. If he can avoid taking big hits, Burrow has it in him to lead the Bengals to a championship. But if the Bengals continue to embrace the status quo — like they did last offseason — the remainder of Burrow's time in Cincinnati could end in bitter disappointment.

As his Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for Sunday's playoffs-or-bust clash with the rival Baltimore Ravens, Aaron Rodgers said he remains undecided about returning for a 22nd season in 2026.

Playing on a one-year contract this season, the four-time NFL MVP has posted his 15th season with at least 3,000 passing yards and 20 touchdown passes.

If the Steelers (9-7) lose the battle for the AFC North title with the Ravens (8-8) on Sunday night in Pittsburgh, their season and potentially Rodgers' career will end.

"I'm thinking about this week, but obviously I'm 42 years old and I'm on a one-year deal," Rodgers told reporters on Wednesday. "So you know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I'll be a free agent. So that'll give me a lot of options if I still want to play. I mean, not a lot of options, but there'll be options, I would think, maybe one or two, if I decide I still want to play.

"I've enjoyed this experience, and everybody in Pittsburgh has been fantastic to me on and off the field. And it's really what I was hoping for this experience was. It's been even better than I was hoping."

When Rodgers signed his one-year, $13.65 million deal in June, he told "The Pat McAfee Show" that he was "pretty sure" the 2025 campaign would be his last.

Six months later, Rodgers said he was grateful for his experience in Pittsburgh and the opportunity to play for head coach Mike Tomlin.

"You always think about the what-if and the alternative timelines of your life," Rodgers said. "But if I hadn't taken this path, I never would have met so many guys in the locker room who I now call close friends and wouldn't have the experiences and the memories on the field, wouldn't have been able to be in the room with Tom Arth again and Bake (Matt Baker) and be able to play for Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin. And I feel like there would be a little hole in my life missing without having this chapter. So I'm thankful for this time."

Rodgers ranks fourth in NFL history in passing touchdowns (526) and fifth in passing yards (65,980) heading into the Week 18 finale. His career passer rating of 102.3 ranks No. 1 all-time as does his 1.4% interception percentage.

Stranger Things has concluded, and the cast are reflecting on how the hit sci-fi show turned their world upside down.

The finale of Stranger Things hit Netflix on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. On that same evening, Millie Bobby Brown, who starred as the telekinetic Eleven "Jane" Hopper, shared a black-and-white photo of herself on location alongside Ross and Matt Duffer, the series creators. "over and out," Brown, 21, captioned the post.

Noah Schnapp, who stars as Will Byers, the missing kid who sets the show in motion, shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos with cast and crew in an Instagram post on Wednesday. "The end :)," Schnapp captioned the post.

In the photos, Schnapp, 21, sits alongside castmates Finn Wolfhard (who plays Mike Wheeler), Sadie Sink (who plays May Mayfield), Caleb McLaughlin (who plays Lucas Sinclair) and Gaten Matarazzo (who plays Dustin Henderson) on the curb between takes. Another photo shows the five cast members attending their fictional Hawkins High School graduation in orange robes and graduation caps, with a banner in the distance that reads "Congratulations, Class of '89."

In a polaroid photo, Wolfhard, 23; McLaughlin, 24; Sink, 23, and Schnapp pose in their 1980s clothes on set. Other photos show Schnapp hugging castmate Natalia Dyer, posing with crew members between filming and a group of letters Schnapp addressed to the Duffer brothers and the cast.

Schnapp shared on Good Morning America in December that he and the cast — including Wolfhard, McLaughlin, Sink and Matarazzo — had plans to watch the last episode together. On finale night, Cara Buono, who played Karen Wheeler, shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the theater in an Instagram post that showed Joe Keery (who plays Steve Harrington), Natalia Dyer (who plays Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (who plays Jonathan Byers) and Maya Hawke (who plays Robin Buckley) were also present for the screening.

Brown did not join her costars at the Paris Theater in New York City on Friday, Dec. 26, when they came together to view the series' final episode, a source told PEOPLE.

The insider said Brown was "still home" with a dislocated shoulder, referring to an injury she announced earlier this month when she explained her absence from GMA. "I'm really sorry I couldn't be there with you guys. I took a fall," Millie said in a clip shared with show where she wore a black sling over her shoulder. "Still, I wanted to participate in any way I could."

Despite not attending the viewing, Brown still "got a link to watch it at the same time" as her castmates, the source added.

Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016, follows a group of people in a fictional Indiana town in the 1980s that suddenly find themselves battling mysterious forces when Will Byers (Schnapp) is kidnapped by an unknown force and dragged into a parallel dimension, referred to as the Upside Down. The mysterious Eleven (Brown), who has telekinetic abilities, escapes a nearby lab and becomes an unexpected hero.

Stranger Things is streaming now on Netflix.

On Wednesday, Dec. 31, the Poosh founder, 46, shared several photos on Instagram of her and her 13-year-old daughter's recent visit to the Gilmore Girls set. In the 10-photo carousel, the teenager appeared to be almost the same height as her famous mom as the duo toured the iconic fictional town.

"The Rory to my Lorelai," Kardashian Barker captioned photos of the two sipping tea and taking in the different sights in Stars Hollow.

The mother-daughter duo dressed comfortably for the day, with Penelope wearing jeans and a black zip-up hoodie, while Kardashian Barker wore dark jeans and a fun cardigan.

Back in July, Kardashian Barker shared a glimpse into Penelope's milestone 13th birthday celebrations in a carousel posted to Instagram.

"My little lady is 13 🥺💘," Kardashian Barker's caption began. "Being her mommy is one of the greatest things I have ever done. She inspires me to be a better person every day. I won't ever have the words for how much joy and love she brings to my life. She is the cooooolessssst 🐞."

Penelope's special day included two personalized cakes, balloons and a spectacular fireworks display, with the mother-daughter duo appearing to be marking the occasion in Italy.

In the first photo from the carousel, Penelope posed for a photo while wearing a yellow cardigan and matching shorts. She also wore a pair of glasses and carried a cowhide print handbag.

Another clip showed Penelope blowing out a large pink candle on a chocolate cake decorated with sugar roses and the words, "Happy Birthday Penelope," with the following slide showing off a second cake featuring white icing, a selection of berries and the same birthday message in pink icing.

Kardashian Barker also shared a look at the pair's picturesque vacation, with a view of a lake from a balcony and the grounds of what appeared to be a hotel. Other photos showed Penelope's hotel room bed covered in rose gold and white balloons and a series of sweet messages written on two notes.

"Turning 13!! I love you. Can't wait to celebrate you!!" read one message, while a second said, "You have the best vibe ever!"

The Kardashians star has a blended family with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, whom she married in 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, son Rocky Thirteen, in November 2023.

Kardashian Barker also shares 16-year-old son Mason, Penelope and 11-year-old son Reign with ex Scott Disick. Meanwhile, the musician shares 22-year-old son Landon and 20-year-old daughter Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He also has a very close bond with 26-year-old stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, the daughter of Moakler and boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya.

During a February 2025 episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian Barker opened up about how their family has adjusted to living under one roof.

"I feel like blending, in the beginning, is a lot of adjusting for each person," she said at the time. "Us in their space and then us being out of our space and into a new space. But it's really good, but I do want to get this going. And my stepkids have lived in their home for their whole lives. It's new, all living together in one house, which is nice. It is change, but I think we're at a really amazing place with it."

The hit Netflix series debuted in July 2016 and came to an end after five seasons

The Stranger Things cast and crew came together one last time to watch the series finale of their hit television show after five seasons.

In new photos shared on social media, the stars of the hit Netflix series huddled up close at the Paris Theater in New York City to watch their years-long work come to an end.

"Watching the finale together was emotional, cathartic, and a little surreal, like the last day of summer camp, but with more tears and better lighting," Cara Buono, who plays Karen Wheeler on the show, captioned a Wednesday, Dec. 31 Instagram carousel.

View this post on Instagram

Karen Wheeler's onscreen kids — Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) — appeared in the group photos.

Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Jamie Campbell Bower and Maya Hawke were also seen in her post.

"I looked around the room at these ridiculous, brilliant humans, artists, my friends, my family and felt this wild rush of gratitude. For every single moment of it. Ten years of monsters, childhood, and magic," Buono's caption continued.

"Thank you for loving this story the way we loved telling it. We may be done with Hawkins, but we're forever bonded," she added, promising that more BTS content would follow.

Ross Duffer, who created the series with his brother Matt, also shared a photo recap from their big gathering.

"Watched the finale with the cast who were in nyc for press a few weeks ago. It was an emotional and cathartic experience for all of us," Ross wrote, with a photo similar to Buono's cover shot.

"Hanging out afterwards, I looked around at all these incredible artists—laughing, crying, supporting one another—and felt so lucky that we remain so close, bonded by these ten years. While we're finished telling this story, we are family now, forever," he continued, thanking viewers for their support.

One cast member who was noticeably absent from the watch party was Millie Bobby Brown, who starred as series lead Eleven since the show debuted in July 2016.

A source told PEOPLE the 21-year-old new mom was "still home" with a dislocated shoulder, referring to an injury Brown revealed earlier this month when she explained her absence from Good Morning America.

Although she did not attend, the actress still supported her costars and "got a link to watch it at the same time" as her castmates, the source added.

The finale came in installments, which saw Volumes 1 and 2 arrive on Nov. 26 and Dec. 25, respectively.

Now that the sci-fi horror series has ended just shy of a decade, fans can still find new ways to love Stranger Things as several spin-offs are currently in the works.

One to look forward to is Stranger Things: Tales from '85, an animated series that was first announced in 2023, and set in Hawkins in the winter of 1985. Netflix unveiled a first look in November 2025.

According to the official logline, "the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town."
