Pardon us, but where the *hell* is Ana Navarro? One person, at least, doesn't know: *The View* cohost Joy Behar!

Friday's episode of the talk show began with four — and *only* four — cohosts walking out to join the Hot Topics table, which simmered a few degrees cooler on the broadcast in Navarro's clear absence.

Behar, 83, addressed the glaring omission shortly after taking her seat at the head of the table, as usual moderator Whoopi Goldberg typically has Fridays off.

"Hello everyone. Hello, hello hello, welcome to *The View*,"* *Behar said as the panelists took their seats, sans Navarro.* "*Ana is off today. We know not where, but she is not here."

Later Friday morning, Navarro posted a cryptic Instagram Story, with only a black screen showing on her feed while a song — which condemned racism and bigotry — played overhead.

A source close to the situation tells ** that "this was a previously arranged day off and [Navarro] will be back on Monday."

EW has reached out to a representative for *The View* for comment.

Behar herself recently made headlines for missing multiple episodes of the show at the top of 2026. After missing six consecutive episodes, Behar returned in early February, though the panel didn't immediately address the reason behind the longtime cohost's absence.

On Friday's episode, shortly after her introduction of Navarro's absence, Behar quickly turned her attention to lighter matters. The comedian celebrated the return of Abby Huntsman, a conservative commentator (and former permanent panelist from 2018-2020) who guest-cohosted this week in place of Alyssa Farah Griffin, who's out on maternity leave.

"Abby's back at the table with us. Welcome back," Behar said, as Huntsman replied, "It's been so fun, though. I've really loved coming back. It's like no time has passed."

Behar then inquired about which period of Huntsman's tenure on *The View *was preferable, with Huntsman quickly replying, "What do you think, Joy?" she said. "There's a refreshing, lovely lightness to the show."

Huntsman's original post on* The View* came alongside that of Meghan McCain, a controversial former panelist who frequently clashed with cohosts on the air. McCain has since spoken out about the show, and alleged that the current roster is comprised of "crazy old people" who bully her, in her estimation.
