Natasha Lyonne is doing just fine, two months after saying that she had relapsed.

"Proud to report this kid is doing a whole lot better & back on her feet," she posted Thursday on X. "Want to thank our recovery communities & the fans who stood by & were so supportive. Aiming to keep the journey somehow private, but look forward to sharing my experience, strength & hope as makes sense. My heart is with everyone ever going through it."

In January, the star of TV's *Russian Doll** *and *Orange Is the New Black* had described the setback in her usual wry style, as "all kinds of fun."

Soon after, Lyonne had shared a thoughtful message: "Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you're not alone. Grateful for love & smart feet. Stay honest, folks. Sick as our secrets. If no one told ya today, I love you. No matter how far down the scales we have gone, we will see how our experience may help another. Keep going, kiddos. Don't quit before the miracle. Wallpaper your mind with love. Rest is all noise & baloney."

In the early 2000s, Lyonne had received plenty of media attention for her struggles with substances including heroin and alcohol. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gone to court-ordered rehab.

"Spiraling into addiction is really, really scary," the actress told ** in 2012. "Some things have a very A-to-B scientific effect. Like, alcohol is a depressant. Cocaine is a stimulant. And then: Cocaine plus heroin is bad! That's the point of my story, that's the moral."

She said she was grateful for having survived the experience.

"It's weird to talk about," Lyonne said. "I was definitely as good as dead, you know? A lot of people don't come back. That makes me feel wary, and self-conscious. I wouldn't want to feel prideful about it. People really rallied around me and pulled me up by my f---ing bootstraps."

In the same interview, Lyonne talked about reuniting with the cast from the two *American Pie* movies for that year's *American Reunion*.

"I believe in comedy," she said. "The cleaner I got, the funnier things got. Life became crisp, less muted. Though [going to the set] did have that feeling of 'Oh, God, what are they all going to look like? And how embarrassing—after what I've been through, I hope they don't search me on the way in.' And no one did! Everyone was really nice."

In 2026, the *Poker Face* star is expected to appear in the new season of HBO's *Euphoria*, which drops April 12, and in the Netflix movie *Roommates*, with Sadie Sandler, Chloe East, Carol Kane, Sarah Sherman, and Janeane Garofalo, out April 17.
