Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn love to spend time together at their Colorado log home. In fact, it's one of Russell's "favorite" places to be.
"Our Old Snowmass home is my favorite," The Madison star, 75, tells The Wall Street Journal. "It's a large, beautiful log-cabin lodge on a ranch that we moved into a little over 40 years ago."
It's one of several properties he splits time between with longtime partner Goldie Hawn, 80, he says.
"I like to wake up in bed each morning looking at the mountain out back," he says. "I like to head down to the barn, saddle up a horse and ride. I also like zoning out in front of the living-room fireplace."

The Hateful Eight star first moved to the state when he was 26-years-old. He tells Men's Health the move was a part of his decision to "live the life I wanted to live." But luckily for the actor, Hawn wants to be there just as much as him.
"What I enjoy most is that she really likes it in Colorado," Russell tells Fox News, adding that his son Wyatt Russell, Wyatt's wife Meredith Hagner and their two boys also live in the state. "We like to spend as much time there as we can."
"I'd like to be there more," he adds. "There's a different kind of life there."

In 2022, Hawn's son Oliver Hudson showed off a bit of their family's longtime home during a remote interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
Hudson explained to host Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that he was taking the video call from the guest house, adding that, "Mom built this house first and then my step-dad Kurt built the other house. So we lived here in 1985 for two years."

He adds: "It's a bit of a time capsule. Those curtains that you see are like 30 years old, you know what I mean? Mom refuses to update, which kind of is great."
Russell and Hawn aren't the only ones to enjoy the property's privacy and seclusion. The estate once served as the perfect escape for the members of the British royal family.
"I did a movie called Backdraft that there was a royal premiere of in London and I sat between Lady Di and Prince Charles, which was an interesting experience at the time," Russell said in a 2016 interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Over the course of the evening, Russell says he and Princess Diana got to talking about "the paparazzi that she had to deal with." He mentioned to her that he had a ranch in Colorado that might act as a "nice getaway."
"Years later… Diana wanted to go with the boys and so they were welcome and they came and stayed for 10 days at the ranch," he says. "They had a great time."
He adds: "It was great because our housekeeper, Bonnie, became very close with her. Every Christmas she'd get a nice Christmas card from Diana."

According to a 2016 report from the Denver Post, the couple owns a collective 70 acres of land between two adjoining properties in Aspen and Snowmass. Hawn owns the 2,700-square-foot guesthouse while Russell owns the 6,500-square-foot, eight-bedroom main residence.
