Young plans to focus on her real estate career out in Nashville, but remains a licensed California realtor under the Oppenheim Group
Nicole Young is officially closing the door on her time as a Selling Sunset cast member.
The Oppenheim Group agent will not return for another season of the Netflix real estate drama, a representative for Young confirms to PEOPLE. Young's rep says the reality star's portrayal on the show "over a number of seasons" was "rather disheartening to observe."
Young first took a step back from the show in season 9, which premiered in October 2025, after she got into a heated argument with her costar Chrishell Stause, resulting in Brett and Jason Oppenheim asking her to leave the office. Later in the season, she revealed she was leaving L.A. with her husband Brandon Young and moving to Nashville.
Fans may argue Nicole was painted as one of the show's villains when she first joined the series in season 6 after being a longtime Oppenheim Group agent off screen. She immediately butted heads with Stause, and was at one point accused of being on drugs by her castmate.

"Nicole was consistently placed in situations which required her to remain on the defensive, often within what can only be described as unnecessarily toxic and overly contrived dramatic circumstances," her rep claims, noting that Nicole often found herself in the "persistent position of having to defend both her character and her intentions" while on the show.
Such circumstances made Nicole reach a point where "she felt she was no longer being represented authentically," according to her rep.
Her rep also notes that it was "entirely Nicole's own decision to step away from the show in season 9" as a result of her move to Nashville, which "signaled the end of her time" on Selling Sunset. Her decision to relocate to Nashville was unrelated to the events that transpired on the show, she says.
Despite leaving L.A., Young is still a licensed realtor in California under the Oppenheim Group. Her rep adds, "Nicole remains deeply committed to her career and looks forward to focusing on opportunities that more accurately reflect both her professional calibre and personal integrity."
PEOPLE has reached out to Netflix for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

In an Instagram Reel shared on March 5, Nicole shared a look inside her new life in Nashville when she gave a tour of the "dream home" she and her husband just purchased.
"It's been a hell of a journey getting here, but we FINALLY found and bought our dream home and we couldn't be happier!" she wrote in the caption.
In the video tour, she walks her followers through her spacious new abode, which features a screened-in patio, an elevator, a balcony overlooking the front of the property and a catwalk upstairs that leads to her own "filming room."
Nicole previously told Nashville Fit Magazine in an interview published in November 2025 that part of the reason why she moved to the Tennessee city is due to her husband's roots there.
"Half of my husband's family lives in Nashville. His parents actually grew up there, so tons of extended family there as well," she said at the time, noting that "everything sort of pointed in that direction" for them to relocate to the new city.

News of Nicole's departure from Selling Sunset comes after a source told PEOPLE the cast for season 10 is still being "figured out" amid rumors that original cast members Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa may be returning. Meanwhile, Netflix has yet to confirm that the hit show has been renewed for a tenth season.
In addition to Nicole, Stause confirmed she would not be returning to Selling Sunset after a tense season 9, telling Bustle in a previous interview that the show was "no longer good for my mental health."
