A$AP Rocky knows how to throw a party—and this weekend, he had an extra-special reason to celebrate. Making his way to his go-to spot in Santa Monica, Giorgio Baldi, the artist organized a night full of festivities to mark Rihanna's 38th birthday. The best part? It was all a surprise.
The Fenty founder may not have known she was walking into a party, but she did (unsurprisingly) dress the part. And that meant a rare fur coat from Tom Ford's coveted Gucci days.
The fuzzy, cropped piece was pulled from the house's Fall/Winter 1999 collection. Tiger-print sleeves were covered from the elbow down with tiers of brown rabbit and fox fur. The star wore it open for the evening, revealing a sleek black lining. A dynamic take on a classic statement style, it was perfect for a birthday girl.

Rihanna layered it over a transparent black slip dress that reached her open-toe sandals, and let her long hair down.
Next to her, Rocky went for a double-layer button-down situation, wearing a red-and-white checkered jacket over a simple white dress shirt. He paired both with sleek tan trousers and black loafers, and added some Ray-Ban sunglasses to top it all off.
Earlier this month, the couple was out and about in New York City, celebrating Rocky's AWGE fashion week show, Valentine's Day, and several other excuses for some date nights. Many of which included some winter furs.
