Don't expect to see a movie about Ariana Grande's life anytime soon — unless it's a weird one.
In a new interview with Backstage, the 32-year-old singer and actress opened up about why she doesn't want to make a biopic and joked about an idea for how she would be portrayed on screen.
"If I were making a movie based on my life? I wouldn't, first of all," said Grande. "I would call it Scrap This and Don't Watch It. I don't like the idea of this at all."
"Who would play me? A tiny mouse with subtitles the whole time. I would like that, actually," continued the Wicked star. "It would be a tiny, beautiful short film with mice reenacting my whole life with little tiny subtitles the whole time. That's the only version I'm interested in."
Grande's upcoming acting projects include Focker In-Law and an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go! She's also set to embark on the Eternal Sunshine Tour from June to December.
The "Positions" musician described the current era of her career as "spontaneous or curious" in the Backstage interview. "It's ever sort of shapeshifting at the moment," she said. "I'm really lucky to be able to follow inspiring impulses and see where they take me."
Grande also spoke about how she chooses film roles. "What makes me want to say yes to an acting project is if it's something that challenges me, scares me a little bit in great ways, if it's something that I think I can really add value to the piece, but also things that challenge me," she said.
