The couple who tied the knot in a real wedding during Bad Bunny's halftime show at the 2026 Super Bowl are opening up about the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

About five minutes into the Puerto Rican rapper's performance, a wedding unfolded on the field at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Eleisa "Elli" Aparico married Thomas "Tommy" Wolter while they were surrounded by dancers dressed in white. After the newlyweds sealed their marriage with a kiss, they stopped by their towering wedding cake and shared their first dance as Lady Gaga performed a salsa version of "Die With A Smile."

Later that night on Sunday, Feb. 8, Aparico reshared a video of her wedding on her Instagram Story, writing, "My heart is so full. This experience has been nothing short of amazing."

She then thanked Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, by writing in Spanish, "Gracias por enfatizar el amor, Benito, por que siempre es necesario 🤍." The touching message translates to "Thank you for emphasizing love, Benito, because it's always necessary."

She added to her now-husband, "Te amo mi amore @teezuspiece," which translates to "I love you my love."

In his own Instagram Story earlier that day, Wolter said, "One of the biggest days of my entire life is today. Thankful for my family, my friends & my @ellly_bean. Let's do this."

He added in another Instagram Story, "The best part of the night was getting a wife 🥹 I love you @ellly_bean."

On Monday, Feb. 9, Wolter shared a photo from the ceremony on Instagram alongside a sweet caption: "An unforgettable dance with the love of my life. Cannot thank @badbunnypr enough for this beautiful opportunity of a lifetime. @nfl @ellly_bean #badbunny #nfl #halftime."

In a press release following the Apple Music Halftime Show, Bad Bunny's team confirmed that the wedding was authentic and provided more detail on how the mid-performance ceremony came to be.

"As the music played, a real wedding took place onstage. After inviting Bad Bunny to attend their wedding, the couple was instead invited to be part of the Apple Music Halftime Show, where they were married live, with him serving as a witness and signing the marriage certificate, complete with a wedding cake, turning the moment into a joyful celebration unfolding in real time," the recap stated.
