Taylor Frankie Paul, the star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was set to be this season's star on Hulu's The Bachelorette.

However, ABC pulled the plug days before its Sunday premiere after a video surfaced of a 2023 domestic as*ault incident involving Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen.

According to subsequent reports, cast members of Mormon Wives expressed concern to ABC executives about Paul during a Zoom call.

The meeting took place after a spokesperson for the Draper Police Department in Utah said there is an open domestic as*ault investigation involving Paul and Mortensen.

On March 7, Mormon Wives cast members voiced their worries over the show's reputation and the future of their careers in light of the continued allegations against Taylor Frankie Paul.

A source shared an audio recording of the call with NBC News and said that the Zoom meeting's objective was to reassure the cast that ABC cared about their safety and mental health amid the situation.

One cast member confessed on the call that they were not comfortable filming alongside Paul while the latter was being investigated, according to the source.

"It's a dangerous situation, it's a sad situation, and we don't know how to navigate it, because Taylor is our friend," they said, as per the recording.

Several others said Paul's behavior in certain video recordings was "distressing" and "upsetting," but did not share the content of said videos.

There were three Disney executives at the meeting, including Rob Mills, the Executive Vice President of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television. Mills allegedly refused to inquire or know further details about Paul's conduct.

When one cast member asked if he knew Paul had hurt a child, Mills said that it wasn't right for them to get into it. However, he emphasized that the company was "never going to hide anything that is wrong for the sake of business."

One cast member said it was "concerning" that the brass did not seem to want to know what was in the videos.

"The production company engaged a seasoned law firm to conduct an investigation of the competing and conflicting allegations that Taylor and Dakota had toward one another," the source revealed, "and it would have been inappropriate to engage in a dialogue regarding an ongoing investigation."

However, Disney did release a statement confirming the decision not to move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette in light of the newly released video, and said that their focus was on supporting the family.

Work on Mormon Wives was reportedly halted after the revelation as well. A source told PEOPLE that until the network resolved the "pretty serious stuff" with Paul, filming would not resume.

In 2023, Paul was charged with as*ault, criminal mischief, and domestic violence in the presence of a child.

It stemmed from a dispute involving Mortensen, separate from the ongoing investigation, and was featured in the season one storyline of Mormon Wives.

Court records indicate that Paul pleaded guilty in abeyance to an aggravated as*ault charge in August 2025, and the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice. She was placed on three years' probation, which would end in August 2026.

On March 19, TMZ published a video that appeared to be a recording of the altercation that led to the 2023 arrest.

The video, which does not reveal what led to the fight, showed Paul shoving and kicking Mortensen as he repeatedly said, "Let me go."

Mortensen, who was filming the video with difficulty, said: "This is called physical ab*se. Your daughter is right here."

Paul also threw multiple bar stools at Mortensen, one of which seemingly hit her daughter, Indy, now eight years old, in the head. The child, who was seated nearby on a sofa, could be heard crying.

"Your daughter just got hit in the head by a metal chair," Mortensen told Paul.

TMZ claimed that this video was viewed by the officers who arrested Paul and later used by prosecutors in the case against her in court.

Paul shares a two-year-old son, Ever, with Mortensen. They reconciled after the 2023 incident, but broke up definitively in December 2024.

She also has another son, Ocean, with ex-husband Tate Paul, who is the father of Indy.

Taylor Frankie Paul issued a statement after the release of the video

A representative for Taylor Frankie Paul shared a statement with media outlets after TMZ released the video.

"It's sad to see the latest installment of [Mortensen's] never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child," the representative said. "Releasing an old and selectively edited video on their son's birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior."

"Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is, and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show and from their own experiences."

A source told Entertainment Weekly that Mortensen was not behind the leak of the video, and his priority is the safety of their son, Ever.

Mortensen himself spoke with PEOPLE after the leak: "As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation.

"I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny," he added. "I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same."

Two days before the video was published, Mortensen filed for a protective order in Utah over a new alleged incident from February, according to TMZ.

"TOXIC. Her children will suffer." Netizens were alarmed after Taylor Frankie Paul's video was released

Princess Diana and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy both attended Gianni Versace's funeral just a few weeks before Diana's death

In FX's Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, Sarah Pidgeon's Carolyn has a horrified reaction to the princess's death, saying that she just sat behind her at the funeral

It's unclear if the real-life Carolyn and Diana ever had a connection, but the royal did meet once with JFK Jr., with whom she sympathized about life in the spotlight

In the summer of 1997, Princess Diana, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette were three of the most famous faces in the world. When Diana died in a car accident in Paris while being chased by paparazzi in the early morning hours of Aug. 31 of that year, it had a profound impact on the couple.

Episode 8 of the FX limited series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette — in which Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly play the late couple — explores their reactions to Diana's tragic death, incorporating some real-life facts into the dramatization.

The episode opens with Carolyn receiving the news via a frantic phone call from her sister, Lauren, who was the third victim in the plane crash that killed John and Carolyn less than two years later.

Love Story shows Carolyn turning on the television to watch the coverage, but Diana has not yet been declared dead. "I just saw her," she tells John. "At Gianni's funeral, I sat right behind her."

It is true that Carolyn, who worked as a fashion publicist for Calvin Klein, and Diana were both among the 2,000 attendees at the high-profile funeral for Gianni Versace at Milan Cathedral in Italy, on July 22, 1997.

However, it's unclear if they sat near each other or even acknowledged one another. Carolyn never spoke publicly about a personal connection with the late princess.

The show's version of Carolyn has an intense reaction to the news of Diana's death, likely based on the real-life woman's admission to those closest to her that she was "terrified" of the paparazzi.

"Carolyn was horrified by Diana's death," RoseMarie Terenzio, who was JFK Jr.'s assistant and co-authored JFK Jr: An Intimate Oral Biography with PEOPLE's Liz McNeil, told PEOPLE in 2017. "She feared, 'Now they're going to focus on us even more because they don't have her.' "

In the show, Pidgeon's Carolyn is frozen in horror at the news. "They killed her," she says. "She did everything right, posed for every photo, gave them everything they wanted and they still killed her."

"It's monstrous," she adds. "She was their princess, and they treated her like prey."

However, it soon becomes clear that the death has affected Carolyn and John very differently. While Carolyn sits in shock, watching the coverage and wondering what comes next in her saga with the predatory press, John goes for a run, chastising Carolyn for still having the news on when he gets back.

"I think there's something really macabre about watching this s--- when right now, halfway across the world, someone is waking up her kids before they find out their parent is dead on TV," he says, revealing that the traumatic memories of his father's assassination have caused him to fixate on Prince William and Prince Harry's futures and how they might mirror his own.

While Carolyn and Diana didn't seem to have a real-life connection, the princess met JFK Jr. once before both of their lives ended tragically too soon.

The pair had a private meeting in a New York City penthouse in December 1995, so John could ask Diana to pose for the cover of his political magazine, George. Diana's private secretary, Patrick Jephson, said in the oral biography that Diana was "intrigued" by John but wanted to be discreet as she was separated from then-Prince Charles, and he was the "world's most eligible bachelor" at the time.

After the meeting, Jephson recalled thinking that, while there didn't seem to be anything romantic between the two, there was an understanding.

"I think she might have spoken about the famous picture of him as a little boy. And she had sympathy for him growing up with the name and being the object of public fascination," he said. "These were things that she could relate to. I definitely picked up a sense of sympathy, of concern, for him."

In February 1997, Terenzio recalled, just a few months before her death, Diana wrote JFK Jr. a letter that would prove to be a meaningful gesture and an eerie prophecy.

"She thanked him for his letter and a few copies of George he had sent over," Terenzio recalled. "She said 'regrettably' she must decline his offer and that she would get back in touch when the time was right. At the end, she wrote, 'I hope'—and she underlined 'hope'— the media are leaving both you and Carolyn alone. I know how difficult it is, but believe it or not, the worst paparazzi are here in Europe!' "

On Feb. 26, viral interabled couple Amber and Neven Hart married in Escondido, Calif., over three years after the accident that resulted in Neven becoming a paraplegic

Speaking to PEOPLE exclusively, Amber admits that she "had no clue" what their future wedding day would be like following Neven's spinal cord injury

Nearly two weeks before their wedding, the couple announced to their social media followers that they are expecting their first baby together

Amber and Neven Hart's wedding wishes came true when they tied the knot last month — even the dreams they thought were taken away in a tragic accident over three years earlier.

On Feb. 26, the viral interabled couple got married in front of their loved ones in Escondido, Calif. Their nuptials followed less than three weeks after they announced their pregnancy news to their social media followers, which collectively total over 1 million across TikTok and Instagram.

The duo got engaged in 2023, on the one-year anniversary of Neven's dirt biking incident that resulted in a spinal cord injury and left him paralyzed. Despite his daily use of a wheelchair, when the paraplegic content creator married Amber, he walked down the aisle using a walker. Beneath his dress pants, Hart wore leg braces to help him stand upright.

Speaking to PEOPLE exclusively following their big day — which was held at the Canopy Grove venue by Wedgewood Weddings — Neven describes the wedding as "amazing."

His newlywed wife agrees, calling their ceremony and reception "absolutely perfect." She also gives a special shoutout to their photographer, Sierra Sturt, and videographer Zane, Sturt's husband, who "captured our love perfectly," says Amber.

"When my husband's accident first happened, we had no clue what our future wedding day would look like," she adds. "But I can say it turned out better than I could've ever imagined!"

As the couple shared in an Instagram Reel posted before their wedding day, they wrote and read their own vows at the ceremony. They also said that they opted to get married on a Thursday because they like the date 2-26-26, and they also managed to save about $5,000 by booking on a weekday.

Days after they tied the knot, Neven reflected on the day in another video, and he proudly confirmed that the occasion went off without a hitch. "We have no complaints at all. Everything went really smooth," he said.

Their February was filled with love, so it makes perfect sense that they announced they were expecting their first baby together on Feb. 14. They aptly captioned their Instagram post, "Our Little Valentines Surprise!♥️" The carousel of photos started with a shot of Amber sitting on Neven's lap, holding a onesie bearing the words "Baby Hart."

The following pictures featured them holding up ultrasound images behind the dad-to-be's wheelchair and alongside a romantic bouquet of roses. A final slide showed a framed message: "Adding a little more love," read the words that accompanied the baby's due date, July 2026.

They posted a "story time" video on Sunday, Feb. 15, to share more details about the exciting news. As Amber explained in the Instagram Reel, they were told they would have a "one percent chance" at conceiving naturally, so they decided to try intrauterine insemination (IUI).

"We had gone in for the consultation. We were ready to do next steps," she said. "Then I ended up finding out six days later that we were pregnant from trying at home."

Friends have remembered him as "one of the realest people"

So You Think You Can Dance winner Joshua Allen's death has officially been ruled a suicide.

The 36-year-old dancer died on Sept. 30, 2025, 17 years after he won season 4 of the competition series. A rep for Allen confirmed news of his death to PEOPLE last year.

Allen's manner of death has been ruled a suicide with a cause of death listed as "blunt force injuries," per the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office in Texas. TMZ was the first to report.

Shortly after news broke of Allen's death, a family member told TMZ that he died after being hit by a train before being hospitalized. The family was asking for "privacy and prayers" from fans at the time, per the outlet.

Allen, who was from Fort Worth, Texas, won his season of SYTYCD when he was 18. He went on to star in 2010's Step Up 3D, the 2011 Footloose remake and an episode of American Horror Story in 2011.

On Friday, March 13, Allen's friend and choreographer Comfort Fedoke remembered Allen on what would have been his 37th birthday. "I still find myself in disbelief that you're no longer here," she wrote. "A select few people could truly understand the pain and disbelief I feel all the time. We've known each other since we were 14, and we shared something that no one could ever take away from us."

Fedoke added, "Being part of something as life-changing as So You Think You Can Dance brought pressures that only a handful of people will ever truly understand. I wish I had more time. I wish I hadn't assumed there would always be more time to catch up, to talk, speak more about the struggles, reconcile. Realizing that time is gone has left a forever knot in my stomach. This s--- is truly unbelievable. Wishing you a heavenly birthday."

Emmanuel Hurd, a choreographer and friend of the dancer, wrote on Instagram after his death, "Can't wrap my head around this…Josh…my brotha. There are no words. You were the life of the party. You were Batman. Champion. One of the realest people I ever met. Kept it a stack every time and would make it right if you fell short. A real King."

"This one hurts deep. I know you're with Stephen now and that brings me comfort. I love you bro. IVEVER," Hurd wrote, referencing Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who died by suicide at age 40 in December 2022. Boss was the runnerup to Allen during their season before the pair returned as All-Stars.

In 2017, Allen was sentenced to one year in county jail after pleading no contest to domestic violence. Los Angeles Daily News reported at the time that he was also sentenced to five years of formal probation and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling.

Rest in peace, Chuck Norris, the original meme.

The legendary figure died on Thursday at 86, but his legacy will forever live on through Chuck Norris facts. The Walker, Texas Ranger star was a lot of things: a military veteran, a black belt in multiple forms of martial arts, an action hero, and a true American badass. But he's also the person that the Boogeyman checks in the closet for, who beat the sun in a staring contest, and who doesn't breathe — he holds the air hostage. Or at least those are some of the "facts" that the internet has created about Norris.

In 2005, high school senior Ian Spector was playing around online when he became inspired by a list of fake Vin Diesel facts, and he soon came up with the idea to create a site built around insane "truths" about Norris and his tough guy persona. An internet phenomenon was born. Spector even got the chance to meet Norris once the trend exploded.

"He wasn't as tall as you would think," he told ESPN in 2023. "But he still stood there in a way where he could have definitely killed anybody else in the room." Fact!

Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our EW Dispatch newsletter.

A few years removed from the end of Walker, Texas Ranger and even longer from his action-star era, Norris quickly embraced his sudden resurgence in pop culture. In 2006, he appeared on The Best Damn Sports Show Period and read a list of Norris facts, including his personal favorite: "They wanted to put Chuck Norris' face on Mt. Rushmore, but the granite wasn't hard enough for his beard."

While Spector wrote multiple books about the Norris anecdotes, the man himself got in on it too, penning a 2009 autobiography of sorts that combined his favorite "facts" with real-life stories.

In 2026, there's a meme for everything and everyone, whether you're Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin James, or Kermit the Frog. But Norris launched a thousand memes and jokes, to the point that, even in his passing, his aura and strength live on.

Nicole Young has officially left Selling Sunset after season 9, according to a representative for the star

She cites a "disheartening" portrayal and "toxic" circumstances on the show as the reasons for her departure

The realtor has since moved to Nashville with her husband Brandon and recently shared a tour of their new "dream home" on Instagram

Young plans to focus on her real estate career out in Nashville, but remains a licensed California realtor under the Oppenheim Group

Nicole Young is officially closing the door on her time as a Selling Sunset cast member.

The Oppenheim Group agent will not return for another season of the Netflix real estate drama, a representative for Young confirms to PEOPLE. Young's rep says the reality star's portrayal on the show "over a number of seasons" was "rather disheartening to observe."

Young first took a step back from the show in season 9, which premiered in October 2025, after she got into a heated argument with her costar Chrishell Stause, resulting in Brett and Jason Oppenheim asking her to leave the office. Later in the season, she revealed she was leaving L.A. with her husband Brandon Young and moving to Nashville.

Fans may argue Nicole was painted as one of the show's villains when she first joined the series in season 6 after being a longtime Oppenheim Group agent off screen. She immediately butted heads with Stause, and was at one point accused of being on drugs by her castmate.

"Nicole was consistently placed in situations which required her to remain on the defensive, often within what can only be described as unnecessarily toxic and overly contrived dramatic circumstances," her rep claims, noting that Nicole often found herself in the "persistent position of having to defend both her character and her intentions" while on the show.

Such circumstances made Nicole reach a point where "she felt she was no longer being represented authentically," according to her rep.

Her rep also notes that it was "entirely Nicole's own decision to step away from the show in season 9" as a result of her move to Nashville, which "signaled the end of her time" on Selling Sunset. Her decision to relocate to Nashville was unrelated to the events that transpired on the show, she says.

Despite leaving L.A., Young is still a licensed realtor in California under the Oppenheim Group. Her rep adds, "Nicole remains deeply committed to her career and looks forward to focusing on opportunities that more accurately reflect both her professional calibre and personal integrity."

PEOPLE has reached out to Netflix for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

In an Instagram Reel shared on March 5, Nicole shared a look inside her new life in Nashville when she gave a tour of the "dream home" she and her husband just purchased.

"It's been a hell of a journey getting here, but we FINALLY found and bought our dream home and we couldn't be happier!" she wrote in the caption.

In the video tour, she walks her followers through her spacious new abode, which features a screened-in patio, an elevator, a balcony overlooking the front of the property and a catwalk upstairs that leads to her own "filming room."

Nicole previously told Nashville Fit Magazine in an interview published in November 2025 that part of the reason why she moved to the Tennessee city is due to her husband's roots there.

"Half of my husband's family lives in Nashville. His parents actually grew up there, so tons of extended family there as well," she said at the time, noting that "everything sort of pointed in that direction" for them to relocate to the new city.

News of Nicole's departure from Selling Sunset comes after a source told PEOPLE the cast for season 10 is still being "figured out" amid rumors that original cast members Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa may be returning. Meanwhile, Netflix has yet to confirm that the hit show has been renewed for a tenth season.

In addition to Nicole, Stause confirmed she would not be returning to Selling Sunset after a tense season 9, telling Bustle in a previous interview that the show was "no longer good for my mental health."
