Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, have pulled off plenty of red-carpet stunts over the years, but this may be their best one yet.

Over the past couple of weeks, as The Drama has held premieres across the world, we've been picking up on the fact that the duo seems to be playing on a classic wedding phrase. In Los Angeles, Zendaya wore "something old" (a 2015 Vivienne Westwood gown), in Paris she wore "something new" (custom Louis Vuitton), and in Rome, she wore "something borrowed" (Cate Blanchett's gemstone embellished dress from Armani Privé). Last night, at the New York premiere of the A24 drama, Zendaya finally pulled out "something blue"—a feathery black gown with bioluminescent blue detailing from the Schiaparelli Spring 2026 couture collection.

As noted in a joint post from Schiaparelli and creative director Daniel Roseberry, the bioluminescent effect—which bloomed from the strapless bodice and finished the bottom of the skirt—was achieved through "8,000 hours of work" and "65,000 kingfisher blue and black raw silk 'feathers' in satin stitch embroidery in 27 different shades of blue."

To pair with the dress, Zendaya wore blue pumps, also pulled from the house's Spring 2026 couture collection, which were adorned with feathers and paint in the front to resemble the head of a bird. Finally, she accessorized with sapphire jewelry from Tiffany & Co., and bright blue eyeshadow to really tie the look together.

It should also be noted that Law and Zendaya managed to have this superfecta of outfits slowly morph into one another. After her all-white Los Angeles look, the white Louis Vuitton gown in Paris featured a black bow detail around back that extended into a train, winking at the all-black look Zendaya would wear in Rome. And her latest ensemble still featured that inky hue, but it was highlighted with radiant touches of blue. You've got to give it to these two when it comes to the details.

The striking, electric gown wasn't Zendaya's only blue ensemble of the night, though. After the premiere, she carried the theme straight to the after-party, where she switched into a midnight-blue design from the Di Petsa Fall 2026 collection.

The dress featured a transparent, halter-style bodice dripping with tubular fringe that rippled across the front and left certain pieces swaying down around the skirt. The silky bottom grazed the floor and featured a split hem in front.

Te actor kept on her Tiffany & Co. jewelry from earlier in the night, but switched her shoes to dark blue heels that matched her dress.

Just when you think you've seen it all, Z and Law take method dressing to the next level.
