Good Morning America Weekend co-anchor Janai Morgan just broke her silence on reports of her exit from the ABC morning show.

On Friday, April 3, Morgan posted a video message to her X and Instagram followers confirming the news and thanking them for their support.

"I've read every message. And I am deeply grateful for the love," the 36-year-old journalist captioned her Instagram update. "More to come when the time is right ✨."

In the accompanying video, Morgan confessed, "I hoped that we'd have more time. And it's been hard on me that our time was cut short."

However, she also shared, "I have loved my job. It has been a joy to connect with my co-workers and with viewers to help keep you informed and entertained, and to create this community. So it really breaks my heart that I don't get to say goodbye. I'm so sorry that I don't get to say goodbye. It would have been fun."

Morgan continued, "But I have these three young kids, and I have worked weekends their whole lives. And so now, they get more of me. And that is worth everything. So, stay tuned. I'm sorry. I feel you. And thank you to every single one of you who has reached out with such kind and validating words. I have needed and I appreciate it."

Her GMA Weekend colleague, Kenneth Moton, shared his support in the comments, writing, "CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎉 Proud of you @janai.norman! ❤️The work you put in. And what you accomplished. You survived. You thrived. Can't 👏🏾 wait 👏🏾 for this next chapter…because it's going to be…🔥💫."

Another GMA Weekend co-anchor, Gio Benitez, declared, "Love you so very much 🤍."

MS NOW's The Cross Connection host Tiffany Cross shared, "We love you and thank you so much for all you brought to our screens. I understand more than most how you feel. I can't wait to celebrate your next chapter 🙏🏽💞."

CNN's NewsNight host Abby Phillip echoed, "❤️❤️ proud of you and here for you. We know this is just the beginning.."

Meanwhile, ABC meteorologist Brittany Bell commented, "You are such a light on and off camera. Your warm personality always made it easy to fill in and I know it made viewers feel right at home seeing you on screen. Your next chapter will be even better ❤️❤️❤️."On April 2, a source familiar with the situation told Parade that Norman's contract was up and not renewed. ABC declined to comment.
