Weston McKennie's long-running contract saga with Juventus appears to finally be near an end.

According to multiple reports out of Italy, McKennie is set to sign a new deal through 2030.

The American's current deal will expire in June, making him free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a different team. McKennie and his representatives have been locked in negotiations with Juventus leadership for months. While it appeared at times that Juventus wouldn't accept his salary demands, McKennie's performances this season seem to have changed the club's mind.

The U.S. men's national team midfielder will make around €4 million per year, per Tuttosport and Gazzetta dello Sport, putting him among the club's highest earners.

McKennie has been an ever-present in Juve's lineup since Luciano Spalletti took over as head coach in October.

Playing a variety of positions, McKennie has a career-best seven goals to go along with five assists this season. Only two Juventus players have totaled more minutes in all competitions than the 27-year-old.

McKennie and Spalletti have each praised the other on multiple occasions this season.

"Spalletti is unique, as I have never in my career worked with a coach like this," McKennie said earlier this month. "He is so good, works with the team spirit. I'm really happy and I think everyone here is happy to be working with him."For his part, Spalletti called McKennie "a perfect central striker" last month after deploying the American in a more advanced role than usual.

Aside from backup goalkeepers Mattia Perin and Carlo Pinsoglio, McKennie is the longest tenured player with Juventus, which he joined in 2020 from Schalke.
