Who is Linda Davis?

Linda Davis, a Georgia schoolteacher, was killed after police say a man fleeing immigration officers crashed a car into her vehicle.

The man, 38-year-old Guatemala native Oscar Vasquez Lopez, is accused of hitting 52-year-old Linda Davis' car on Feb. 16 outside of the Hesse K-8 School where she worked. The crash occurred as he tried to flee Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Savannah, Georgia, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said. Vasquez Lopez was arrested and taken to the hospital with minor injuries, DHS said in a news release.

The incident comes amid continued national tensions over ICE's presence in U.S. cities. DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said in the news release that Davis' death "is an absolute tragedy and deadly consequence of politicians and the media constantly demonizing ICE officers and encouraging those here illegally to resist arrest."

Now, President Donald Trump is getting the federal government involved while blaming local Democrats in Maryland for the spill.

The interview America never saw. "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert's interview with Texas state rep. James Talarico was not allowed to be aired by CBS. Social media clips of the segment have gone viral anyway.

Skiers are missing. Six backcountry skiers were rescued and nine others remain missing Wednesday after an avalanche in Northern California swept through as a powerful winter storm battered the region with heavy snow and high winds.

Iowa State gymnasts left in limbo

Iowa State gymnasts expected to practice earlier this month. Instead, they were met with Iowa State senior associate athletics director Shamaree Brown, who told the athletes the remainder of their season was canceled. School administrators have not said publicly what led to the cancellation. Now, fans and athletes are left wondering what the canceled season means for gymnasts' careers — and if the program will ever return.
