Marc Anthony has some advice for his Puerto Rican pal Bad Bunny ahead of his 2026 Apple Music Super Bowl LX halftime show performance this winter.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the "Vivir Mi Via" singer, 57, shared the nugget of wisdom he tells Bad Bunny, 31, "every time" they chat.
"I tell him to just to be responsible with the risk [and] with the responsibility that he's taking on, because I'm sure for him, he sees this as a massive responsibility to represent not only his culture, but his music," Anthony said ahead of his own Fontainebleau Las Vegas residency. "He's going to work that much harder to bring an amazing show and I'm looking forward to it."
Anthony has a similar experience under his belt. The Grammy-winning salsa singer lent his vocal chops to the Super Bowl stage in 2002, having sung "America the Beautiful" alongside Mary J. Blige at Super Bowl XXXVI. The father of seven is excited to make his return to the annual sporting event.
"I'll definitely be there, and I'll be the first one cheering him on," he continued.

Anthony and Bad Bunny — born Benito Martínez Ocasio — have known each other for a decade, according to Rolling Stone, and they have performed together numerous times.
Most recently, at the Spanish rapper's Debí Tirar Más Fotos concert in Puerto Rico, Anthony joined him on stage for the last show of the historic hometown residency.
Bad Bunny's September performance announcement did not won everyone over, though.
He has been the subject of right-wing backlash, as he has criticized the Trump Administration's policies and stances on immigration. A Change.org petition calling for country musician George Strait, 73, to take the "Tití Me Preguntó" singer's slot has over 100,000 signatures as of Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Three weeks after the petition was made, on Oct. 22, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he was "confident" Bad Bunny's performance will be "great."
Anthony commented on the controversy surrounding his friend.
"He's not there because he's lucky," he said of the Latin musician with over 80 million monthly listeners on Spotify. "He's there based on merit and everything that he's accomplished. I mean, his numbers are just astronomical."
In October, Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski confirmed in an episode of The Benny Show podcast that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be present at the 2026 Super Bowl and its halftime show.
Given the tensions surrounding Bad Bunny's performance, Anthony praised the singer's resilience in difficult times.
"I'm proud of what he's been able to accomplish in terms of spreading his gospel and that type of music, and the level he's taken it to," Anthony said.
