The Oscar-nominated actress opened up about aging when speaking with Stephen Colbert during an appearance on the host's eponymous late-night show and shared a message to those who feel negatively about it.
The topic came about when Colbert asked Moore how she feels about this past year, following her success in The Substance (the film that earned her a Golden Globe award for best actress), her leading role in Landman and being named one of Glamour's "Women of the Year."
"Wow. That's how I feel. Wow, what a great fun year," the actress said during the episode of The Stephen Colbert Show, which aired on her 63rd birthday on Nov. 11 this year.

"I just feel like this is an amazing time, and anybody who thinks that getting older means life is less is sadly mistaken," the Substance star added.
This wasn't the first time Moore has been candid about aging, having been especially vocal about it during the press tour for The Substance, a 2024 horror film about a fading celebrity who uses a black-market drug to create a younger, more perfect version of herself.
In December 2024, Moore spoke with PEOPLE exclusively on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards about her own relationship with aging and how it's shifted throughout her life, especially as she's gotten older.
She said that she can recognize that "over the course of my whole life," she has spent too much time passing "judgment against myself."

"I can look back and go at 20, at 30, I was finding things that weren't good enough," she shared on the red carpet, adding, "My relationship with [aging] now is much more in a joyous acceptance."

"Of course, there's things that you go, 'Oh, I wish that was not that way,' but in terms of the whole, I see myself and the fullness of who I am as opposed to just the external idea of who I am," concluded Moore.
A few months prior, Moore — who shares daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, with her ex-husband Bruce Willis — revealed how she's embracing the present, and couldn't be any happier while doing so in real life.

"We are what the future is for women, and I look at having my daughters and I don't want [it] to ever be in their minds that there is an end," she told Today co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb in September 2024.
"To me, this is the most exciting time of my life," the mom of three continued. "It is, I feel like my children are grown, I have the most independence and autonomy to really redefine where I want to go."
"I don't know what that looks like or where it is," said Moore, concluding, "But I'm just excited to be living in it."
