CinemaCon keeps upping the ante in Las Vegas.
After Tom Cruise, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, and Sandra Bullock took the stage during Warner Bros.' presentation on Tuesday, Universal Pictures brought out Hollywood royalty of its own.
Steven Spielberg made his first appearance at the conference to promote his latest sci-fi thriller, *Disclosure Day*, while Christopher Nolan discussed his upcoming epic, *The Odyssey*. And Robert De Niro rolled up to playfully bicker with his *Meet the Parents* costar Ben Stiller as they introduced the first trailer for the fourth movie in the series, *Focker In-Law*.
Amazon MGM Studios then shared a preview of its upcoming slate a few hours later, highlighting Michael B. Jordan's *The Thomas Crown Affair*, the long-awaited *Spaceballs* sequel, a new iteration of *Highlander* starring Henry Cavill, and more.

Disclosure Day
*Release date: June 12, 2026*
Steven Spielberg made his CinemaCon debut to discuss *Disclosure Day* on stage with one of its stars, Colman Domingo. Spielberg explained that the marketing for the film is intentionally withholding imagery from the movie's third act to maintain the element of surprise. The film also debuted a new trailer, which is very similar to its previous trailer but, crucially, showed a few images of the alien creatures we hadn't seen before, as well as more context about the connection between the Josh O'Connor and Emily Blunt's characters. Christopher Nolan appeared on stage to speak at length about the process of making the first-ever movie to be shot entirely in IMAX. He admitted that filming was "an absolute nightmare," but noted that it was nightmarish "in all the right ways." He also introduced an extended preview of the film, most of which overlapped with footage that had already been released. However, the beginning showed the first glimpse of Charlize Theron's character, who was revealed to be Calypso. Here's our full breakdown of the new material.
Focker In-Law
*Release date: Nov. 25, 2026*
De Niro was amusingly hostile toward Stiller during an extended bit on stage in which Stiller tried to frame himself as "the new sort of De Niro" — an idea that the *Raging Bull *actor totally resisted. The duo then teed up the first trailer for *Focker In-Law*, which introduces Ariana Grande's character to the fold. Here's our guide to the trailer and the goofy on-stage segment.
*Release date: Christmas 2026*
Focus Features presented the first teaser for *Werwulf*, the latest period horror project from *The Witch* and *Nosferatu* director Robert Eggers. As we've come to expect from Eggers, the footage features a lot of alarmingly pale people, grimy period detail, and, of course, Willem Dafoe. Our full description of the footage can be found here.
Minions & Monsters
*Release date: July 1, 2026*
The third *Minions* movie (and the seventh overall installment in the *Despicable Me* franchise) featured two long scenes of the titular creatures arriving in 1920s Hollywood. Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri said this is a "very personal film" for director Pierre Coffin, who co-directed the first four *Despicable* Me entries and voices the Minions throughout the series. Meledandri argued that the movie "harkens back to the wonderful French tradition of auteur cinema," and while it's too soon to say if that's remotely true, the clips were pretty delightful and featured sweet shoutouts to silent cinema legends Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, and Buster Keaton, whose wordless humor and physical expressiveness undoubtedly influenced the *Minions* movies on some level.
Other Mommy
*Release date: Oct. 9*, 2026
Jessica Chastain plays a normal mom and her not-so-normal double, who begins terrorizing her family in this upcoming horror movie, which played a short trailer. It looks simultaneously campy and creepy, and I admit that I couldn't stop thinking about the "Other Mother" from *Coraline* the whole time.
One Night Only
*Release date: Aug. 7, 2026*
The latest movie from Will Gluck (*Easy A*) debuted its first trailer, which was preceded by a several-minute-long supercut of iconic romantic comedies, with text on screen warning viewers, "If we don't act now, love will leave theaters forever." But this movie, Universal argues, is a beacon of hope…and it's about two characters (Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner) who fall in love in a world where premarital sex is only legal on one night per year. The only way to describe it is "*The Purge* but for sex instead of crime." What the hell, sure.

Michael B. Jordan delivered the first trailer for his reimagining of *The Thomas Crown Affair*, which looks extremely slick and refreshingly steamy — it might be the most exciting footage of anything we've seen this week. The *Creed* star, who also directed and produced the film, also brought his costar Adria Arjona on stage. Here's our recap of their appearance.
Spaceballs: The New One
*Release date: April 23, 2027*
Rick Moranis joined castmates Bill Pullman, Lewis Pullman, Josh Gad, and Daphne Zuniga on stage to promote his first on-screen movie appearance in 30 years. The film debuted a first look at a ton of unfinished footage, a lot of which poked fun at contemporary *Star Wars* (there's a BB-8-esque droid that's just a cube thumping through the sand). The highlight, though, is Moranis' bathroom interaction with a Na'vi from *Avatar*, which you can read about here.
Highlander
*Release date: TBD*
Cavill shared a pre-recorded video message introducing our first look at his iteration of *Highlander*. The footage was a combination of behind-the-scenes material and actual shots from the movie, which was directed by *John Wick* filmmaker Chad Stahelski — and you can tell, because it basically looks like a *John Wick* movie with bigger swords. Costars Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Jeremy Irons all popped in to say hello in the video message. Here's our recap.

We saw a trailer for the latest Colleen Hoover adaptation, starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett. I'm pretty sure the footage showed every possible configuration of those three people kissing (and more). I suspect this will be a hit.
The Beekeeper 2
*Release date: Jan. 15, 2027*
Jason Statham shared a pre-recorded message to introduce this sequel to his 2024 actioner *The Beekeeper*. Delightful things that happen in the footage: Jason Statham firing a Gatling gun out of his car, Jason Statham covering his body in hundreds of bees to treat a wound, Jason Statham refusing an egg salad sandwich from Jeremy Irons, and Jason Statham lighting a man's head on fire from the inside. At one point, somebody says, "The Beekeepers have kidnapped the president." Long live the Beekeeper.
