Anna Faris had one real fear during Scary Movie: being fired.
The actress and comedian tells PEOPLE she felt like she had to hide in the corner while making Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 over 25 years ago.
"I remember being just so scared that I was gonna get fired because I had no body of work behind me. I didn't even have an agent," Faris, 49, says.

Scary Movie was the first major film in which she was cast. The 2000 comedy, which spoofs famous horror movies, also starred Marlon Wayans, Regina Hall, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Carmen Electra, Shannon Elizabeth and Dave Sheridan.
Faris says she was "so quiet and so intimidated in those first two movies." However, once the third installation in 2003 came around, she felt a bit more comfortable.
"For me, it felt like I got to pay more attention. I did get to involve myself more. I did feel comfortable making small talk and having banter and doing what normal people do as opposed to just hiding in the corner, hoping that no one will notice me," Faris shares.

Decades later, she is reprising her role as Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie 6, which she says is a "celebration for the Wayans brothers."

"For all of us to be back together, for me, it felt like such a victory," she tells PEOPLE. "It didn't matter what happened, how the movie was received. At the moment, it felt so good for me personally. It's like the cherry on top that audiences are so excited to see it. It's a really special time in my life. I feel grateful."

When Faris got the call to join the Michael Tiddes-directed film, she was "shocked and immediately thrilled."
"I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that there was a world where I would be feeling so good about doing Scary Movie, not just good, but great," Faris shares.
The actress notes that it also gave her the chance to thank Marlon, Shawn and Keenen — who wrote, created and produced the original films — for giving her a chance all those years ago.
"It's a little healing in the sense that we got to be back together again. That is, for me, a personal celebration because I got to thank them. I'd never thanked them properly," she says. "It felt like the Wayans brothers were casting me. This time, I got to thank them and feel like I wasn't gonna get fired."
Scary Movie 6, which also stars Sheridan, Hall, Jon Abrahams and more, will be in theaters on June 5.
