Last week's *Survivor 50* premiere was the first time players from both the "old" and "new" eras of the franchise met in the island arena to do battle. (Although all those pre-season 40 contestants told Jeff Probst at the marooning that they prefer the label "classic era" in an extended exchange that did not make it to air.)

And each era took a big hit in the premiere. Season 1 OG Jenna Lewis-Dougherty was the very first person voted out of the game, although it was for playing too fast, not too slow. Then, the new school lost one of its newest players when Kyle Fraser was medically evacuated after tearing his Achilles during the day 3 immunity challenge.

Because Probst put in a big franchise reset after season 40, labeling *Survivor 41* the beginning of a new era, we wondered if that meant the season after *Survivor 50* would be an ever *newer* era, but the host and showrunner told EW that he did not see any huge changes in store.

Christina Applegate will always have a special place in her heart for ex-boyfriend David Boreanaz.

In her new memoir, *You With the Sad Eyes*, Applegate gets candid about several of her tumultuous Hollywood relationships, unpacking her marriage to Johnathon Schaech, a short-lived fling with Brad Pitt, and time spent with Skid Row's Sebastian Bach. And while her relationship with Boreanaz is among those that didn't work out, Applegate noted that the *Angel* star still played a pivotal role in her life by helping her get out of a bad situation.

"In early 1993, a young actor right out of college by the name of David Boreanaz made his first credited appearance on TV in *Married With Children*," the Emmy winner writes, explaining that he played her love interest in the season 7 episode "Movie Show."

Though Boreanaz's character quickly proved himself to be a terrible boyfriend — an unfaithful bad-boy biker who earned the ire of Ed O'Neill's Al Bundy — Applegate writes that working alongside the actor was an immediate pleasure.

"I met him first thing that workweek. David and I quickly became friends — he was funny and kind and we would pass our lunchtimes together," she shared, adding that their friendly relationship became unexpectedly crucial, as she was in the midst of a long-term relationship with an abusive boyfriend.

"When, on Thursday of that week, yet again something happened with my boyfriend, I called David, even though I'd known him for only four days," Applegate recounts. "'I can't be alone in my house,' I said, and David showed up at the log cabin to keep me company."

She continues, "David made me feel safe in my house, and a few days later, he and I started a thing. We dated for a few months, and even though it didn't last, he helped me eventually leave. I adore David for that. Thinking back, I can't say enough how much I appreciated him for being the reason I was finally able to get back to normal."

The one-time couple had kept their brief relationship under the radar but publicly shared a sweet moment years later, when Boreanaz presented Applegate with the Favorite Female TV Star Award at the 2009 People's Choice Awards. As he handed her the crystal sculpture trophy, the duo shared a brief kiss.

Boreanaz would later marry Ingrid Quinn in 1997 before the duo divorced in 1999. In 2001, he tied the knot with former *Playboy* model Jaime Bergman, with whom he shares a son and daughter.

Applegate wed Schaech in 2001 and the couple split four years later. She married musician Martyn LeNoble in February 2013, with whom she shares a 15-year-old daughter. In her memoir, Applegate writes that she knew her marriage to Schaech would not work at their wedding.**** "I never considered stopping the wedding — for a start, I was halfway down the aisle," she confesses. "I kept thinking, 'Don't be that guy. Don't be that guy. Don't be that guy. You're sabotaging. You're sabotaging. You're sabotaging.' Because there I was in my custom gown, the center of this beautiful f---ing wedding filled with all the perfect that you could possibly imagine. And I knew right then that this man was not it for me."**** The actress delves further into the abusive relationship that plagued her late teenage years in the new memoir and also shared a few words about the experience during a February chat with PEOPLE.**** "My mom always said, 'I never met a junkie I didn't like.' And that kind of was how I rolled," Applegate told the outlet. "I never was with anyone who had a real job. I was always with these broken birds that I wanted to fix. After weeks of inactivity on the fainting front, Whoopi Goldberg has officially collapsed on *The View *once again.

The EGOT-winning actress (and great seer of unknown supernatural entities wafting through *The View*'s studio) mounted her latest physical stunt on Wednesday's episode, as she struggled to get through a particularly excruciating Hot Topics chat about age gaps in celebrity relationships.

As she often does when cueing up a discussion point she's unenthused about, Goldberg introduced the segment in her signature, affected valley girl accent as she delivered news about actress Sienna Miller pushing back against criticism over age differences among famous couples.

"Will it ever change? Will we continue to see older guys with younger women? What the hell is going to happen? I throw it in your direction, I'm on my way to Mallorca," Goldberg said as she checked out entirely.

Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Joy Behar picked up the discussion, with the camera picking up shots of Goldberg's head slowly lowering to her hands — at first, it was one hand, then two.

Then, as things dragged on, Goldberg could be seen recoiling and wincing in her chair — and, at one point, fully collapsing backward in protest.

After gripping the table for dear life, Goldberg replied to Behar's question, "What if you need an organ?" adding before the commercial break: "I say, wait for the orgasm. We'll be right back."**

Today's collapse is, by far, not the first time Goldberg has feigned losing consciousness at the Hot Topics table. Various other chats have contributed to Goldberg tapping out, including Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, remarks about Donald Trump, and coverage of the *Real Housewives* franchise.

Goldberg also once collapsed in honor of **, as she looked toward the audience in December and said, "This is for **," before descending down toward the table's surface.

Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim sat down with guest host Pink on *The Kelly Clarkson* *Show* and showered the singer with compliments.

Except Kim praised the wrong pop star. The snowboarder, who won silver in halfpipe at the 2026 Winter Olympics, shared her love for "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson. She misattributed the song to Pink.

"Can I make a confession?" Kim told Pink. "Growing up, when I was like 12, 13, I loved listening to your music when I would snowboard. Like, 'What doesn't kill you makes you...'"

Kim apologized, but the "So What" singer took the mistaken identity in stride. Pink joked that the mix-up was fine because "I'm Kelly Clarkson," referencing the fact that she was filling in for the *American Idol *winner for the week.

"Oh my gosh, no, 'F-----' Perfect,'" Kim said, correcting her song choice. "Wait, guys. I'm so embarrassed. I'm so sorry."

The athlete blamed her brain fart on the nap she took before the show. Pink assured her there were no hard feelings, shifting gears to Kim's own musical aspirations. The two-time Olympic champ had expressed interest in recording songs after appearing on *The Masked Singer**.*

"I was really into that idea when I was on 'cause I was in that mode," Kim explained. "But now I'm kind of like, that sounds like a lot of work. I don't know how you guys do it."

Pink agreed that the demands of pop stardom were a lot. Kim said wants to take it easy for the next few years. Alas, a music career conflicts with that much-needed relaxation time.

"You've earned it," Pink said.

During Pink's week as guest host, she is interviewing female guests and celebrating their achievements in honor of Women's History Month. Her episodes will include performances, discussions with women in entertainment, and spotlights on people who are positively changing their communities. She is one of several guest hosts who will take over the show throughout the season.

"I've played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat," Pink said in a statement last month. "Let's celebrate women, joy, resilience and whatever else comes our way!"

*The Kelly Clarkson Show* will end after this current season. The "Since U Been Gone" singer shared that she wanted to spend more time with her children following the death of their father and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson opened up about her decision to sunset her talk show in an interview with *Today* last month.

"Well, I think everybody probably gets the timing, but… yeah, our family life, the dynamic changed a bit and it has changed for a minute now," she said. "I think it's just — you've got kids, we've all got kids, right? — it's one of those things when you kinda start seeing life as how precious it is, too."

The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended the match between Jupiter Links GC and The Bay Golf Club at SoFi Center on Tuesday, March 3.

Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, were spotted in the stands in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., later greeting golfer Tiger Woods on the turf.

Tiger's girlfriend, Vanessa Trump — who is the ex-wife of Donald Trump's son Don Jr. — and her 18-year-old daughter, Kai Trump, were also in attendance at the event.

In a clip shared online by Tyler Boronski, Travis and Kai were spotted sharing a chat on the turf during the event.

Kai, an avid golfer, was also seen in the crowd alongside her mom, cheering Woods on, while Travis and Jason tried out the TGL golf setup and addressed the crowd during the event.

Vanessa and Woods have been in a relationship since 2025, and celebrated his 50th birthday with Kai in January.

While Travis hasn't publicly shared his political preferences, Donald does have a history of speaking out against the NFL star's fiancée, Taylor Swift.

During his 2024 presidential campaign, the president initially shared AI-generated images of Swift seemingly endorsing him before the pop star officially endorsed his opponent, Kamala Harris.

On March 2, Curtis, 67, posed in a lacy bra on Instagram in "support" of both her "money makers" and of her goddaughter's new film, The Bride! The following day, the movie — which Maggie, 48, wrote and directed — premiered in the United States, and the filmmaker reacted to her godmother's show of support on the red carpet.

"Jamie Lee Curtis with her tits out in support of The Bride! That's a godmother for you," Maggie told PEOPLE at the March 3 premiere, held at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater in New York City. "That's a fairy godmother if there ever was one."

Asked what it means to have Curtis — who is also godmother to Maggie's younger brother, Jake Gyllenhaal — in her corner, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter revealed that, "Jamie has been a support to me for so many years in so many ways."

This includes, she said, on her latest project: a new twist on Frankenstein featuring a Bonnie-and-Clyde romance between Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale.

Curtis has shared several posts in support of The Bride!, as has Maggie's brother Jake, 45, who appears in the film along with Maggie's husband, Peter Sarsgaard, and their two daughters Ramona, 19, and Gloria, 13.

In caption of her racy post about the monster movie, Curtis wrote, "My goddaughter @mgyllenhaal has made @thebridemovie an audacious, bold, punk, feminist, opera of a movie and she sent me some lingerie, which is one of the partnerships with @victoriassecret and I wore it today to support my money makers as well as her movie and couldn't figure out how to show her my support so this was the best I could do in a limo driving around New York City."

At the U.S. premiere of the film, Maggie said that the entire cast — which also includes Annette Bening, Penélope Cruz, Julianne Hough and John Magaro — was "in love."

"Some movies have this special quality where everyone's kind of in love. It happens rarely, but this was one of them," she told PEOPLE of The Bride! "Every single day was really full of love and wildness."

Billed as "a bold, iconoclastic take on one of the world's most compelling stories," The Bride! is set in the 1930s, and follows the lonely and undead Frank (Bale), asks scientist Dr. Euphronious (Bening) to make a companion for him.

"The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born," an official synopsis states. "What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!"

Let the *Squid Game* begin — and this time with some familiar faces.

Netflix has announced *Squid Game: The VIP Challenge* starring eight very important players from the worlds of reality television, music, and sports: Dylan Efron (*The Traitors*), Kim Zolciak (*Real Housewives of Atlanta*), Mel B (Spice Girls), Ryan Serhant (*Owning Manhattan*), Tristan Thompson (NBA champion and Khloe Kardashian's ex), Hannah Goodwin (Bachelor Nation), Kristy Sarah (content creator with 31 million followers), and Viper, a fan-favorite from season 2 of *Squid Game: The Challenge*.

Described as the streaming platform's "most cutthroat reality competition series," *Squid Game: The Challenge* debuted in 2023 as the most-watched show globally on Netflix. Now for its third season, "celebrities are shaking up the world of *Squid Game* to put their wits, strategies, and skill sets to the ultimate test," teases Netflix.

*The Challenge* is a spinoff of *Squid Game*, the South Korean dystopian drama that broke records in 2021 as Netflix's most-watched series. Like the original, *The Challenge*'s two seasons featured 456 players competing for $4.56 million. For this upcoming third season, Netflix has yet to reveal the grand prize.

In the fictional *Squid Game*, the competition appealed particularly to those facing deep financial hardship. This time around, at least two contestants in *The VIP Challenge* could identify with that adversity.

Kim Zolciak starred on her own Bravo spinff, 'Don't Be Tardy,' for eight seasons.

Zolciak, who also had her own Bravo spinoff *Don't Be Tardy*, lost her $6 million Atlanta mansion to foreclosure in 2025 following her separation from husband Kroy Biermann. Similarly, Mel B admitted in 2020 to "teetering on the brink of bankruptcy" after her own divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

They will have a fierce competitor in Viper, a New York-based DJ and SoulCycle coach who was "Player 152" in last season's *The Challenge*. Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, he revealed his intention to cause "total chaos" in the game upon his return for season 3: "I did learn that every single decision should be considered in great detail. I will surely use a microscope with every choice I make."
