Netflix killer Taylor Parker's family background, including her kids with two men, are documented in an appellate court decision. She has two former husbands named Hunter Parker and Tommy Wacasey. Her mom, Shona Prior, testified in great detail at her trial, and her dad, Mark Morton, was discussed.

Parker's case is featured in the new Netflix show, Maternal Instinct. Horrifically, Parker was convicted - and sentenced to death - for murdering a pregnant woman named Reagan Simmons-Hancock. She then cut the baby out of Simmons-Hancock's womb, although the child also died. Parker was trying to convince her new boyfriend, Wade Griffin, that she was pregnant, when she could no longer have kids due to a hysterectomy that her mother authorized.

However, Parker did have kids with two other men, a daughter and son, court documents show. Their names are Emersyn and Trey. Where are her kids now? According to Oxygen, "Prior was granted custody of her granddaughter—who also continued to spend time with Wacasey's family." Emersyn is 16 today. Trey was born in about 2013 or 2014, which would make him about 12 or 13 now. [Parker is one of more than 40 women on death row in the U.S. See the full list with their crimes here.]

Taylor Parker Had 2 Kids of Her Own With Former Boyfriend Donald Whiteside & Ex Husband Tommy Wacasey

The court documents detail Parker's tangled family tree.

"At the age of seventeen, Appellant gave birth to her first child, Emersyn, with her then-boyfriend Donald Whiteside," the court documents say.

According to KTAL-TV, Prior testified that Whiteside "was not involved in his daughter's life. Prior said she herself only ever met him once in the fall of 2009 before the child was born.  She said she did not recall the two having much of a relationship before or after the birth. "

Donald Whiteside Jr. "jumped jobs," she testified.

"The couple eventually split, and Appellant began dating and later married another man, Tommy Wacasey. At the age of twenty-one, Appellant gave birth to her second child, a son named Trey, with Wacasey," the documents add.

"She had to be induced because of a condition called preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication characterized by elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine," the court decision says. "Due to this complication, Appellant decided to undergo a tubal ligation to prevent future pregnancy. A tubal ligation can, in some circumstances, be reversed."

With Parker under anesthesia, Wacasey "authorized doctors to perform a hysterectomy. Doctors removed Appellant's uterus, cervix, and one of her ovaries," the court documents alleged, noting that Parker "flew off the handle and asked why [Wacasey] didn't wake her up so she could make that decision." They divorced in 2017. KTAL-TV reported that Parker's mom, Shona Prior, testified that she gave the ultimate authorization for the hysterectomy, though.

Wacasey testified that Parker did not pay child support after he obtained custody, KTAL-TV reported. Parker's brother Zachary Morton brought up Wacasey when he testified, according to that television station: "It seemed like when Taylor was with Tommy that they loved each other, they cared about each other…nothing else mattered but her family. But after weight loss surgery, Taylor's demeanor completely changed. Instead of her focus being on her family it was on what she wants to do with her personal life – or what more she could do for herself, in a sense."

Taylor Parker Then Married Her 2nd Husband, Hunter Parker

Appellant and Wacasey divorced in 2017. "Soon after, Appellant began dating Hunter Parker. The couple married in 2018. During her relationship with Parker, Appellant asked multiple friends to serve as surrogates because she wanted to have more children but could not because of the hysterectomy. Appellant and Parker divorced in 2019," the court documents show.

"Appellant then began dating Wade Griffin. Several witnesses at trial testified that Appellant was 'obsessed with him,' and would be 'ecstatic' around him, even though 'you could tell he didn't feel that way about her,'" the decision says.

"The State introduced evidence of several instances when Appellant went to great lengths to keep Griffin in the relationship. Appellant told Griffin she was pregnant in January 2020," it adds. "In the following months, Appellant purchased a silicone moon belly online as well as a customized ultrasound, prepared a nursery in Griffin's home, had a maternal photoshoot, held a gender reveal party, and chose a name for the baby."

Taylor Parker Made Accusations About Her Mother Shona Prior

The court documents say that Parker "told Griffin that she would be induced or have a C-section at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, Texas, on October 5, 2020. On the morning of October 5, Griffin's house caught on fire."

The documents added, "He was able to put out the fire with a water hose. Later that morning, the medical center received a bomb threat and had to evacuate. Appellant blamed both of these events on her mother, Shona Prior."

The document say, "Appellant then told Griffin that, in order to avoid her mother, she had decided to travel to Idabel, Oklahoma, to give birth at McCurtain Memorial Hospital." Instead, she drove to the home of victim Reagan Simmons-Hancock, murderer her, and cut out her unborn child, who also died.

Taylor Parker's Mother Testified That She Knew Parker Wasn't Pregnant

According to KTAL, Prior testified that she knew Parker wasn't really pregnant but didn't say anything.

"Not much you can do about a fake pregnancy," Shonna Prior testified. "She knew she wasn't pregnant. We knew she wasn't pregnant. There was no need to come up with a plan. We figured the lie would be exposed. He would figure it out." She claimed that Parker loves her kids.

Taylor Parker's Father, Mark Morton, Went to the Gender Reveal Party

According to KTAL-TV, Taylor's dad, Mark Morton, went to the gender reveal party Parker threw, even though he knew she couldn't get pregnant, her mom testified.

Parker's brother Zachary Morton, testified" that their father brought him to what he recognizes now as a 'drug house' when he was a child, but he doesn't not remember Taylor ever being there," KTAL-TV reported. "He said their father did use both of them as pawns in his divorce from their mother and did not always put his children first."

"When dad was chasing other women or drugs, we were put on the back burner. It seemed like when Taylor was chasing another man, instead of the focus being on her children, it was on herself. It was all about her at one specific time," Morton added.

Russell Crowe recalled "sticking to his guns" when it came to not having a sex scene with his costar Connie Nielsen in Gladiator

"The studio, the producers [thought] there should be sex between Maximus and the female characters," he said at the Taormina Film Festival

Crowe previously admitted that he was "slightly uncomfortable" with director Ridley Scott makinga sequel to the 2000 epic

Russell Crowe did not want things to get steamy in Gladiator.

The actor, 62, recalled "sticking to his guns" when it came to not having a sex scene with his costar Connie Nielsen in Ridley Scott's 2000 epic while speaking at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy, according to Variety.

"When we were shooting that film, there was a lot of pressure. The studio, the producers [thought] there should be sex between Maximus and the female characters. I kept pushing back," he said.

Crowe explained that a sex scene in the movie would have ruined his character's story arc.

"This is the story of a man avenging the death of his wife and his child," the actor continued. "There cannot be a moment in that journey where he stops and has sex with somebody. It doesn't make any sense because that destroys the journey."

Crowe said he "stuck to his guns," and Scott eventually agreed with him.

"Luckily for me, Ridley — even though he'd love a sex scene between me and Connie Nielsen — agreed with me back then that that was the emotional core of the film," he added.

Crowe previously admitted that he was "slightly uncomfortable" with Scott, 88, makingGladiator II, which came out in 2024 with Paul Mescal in the lead.

"I'm slightly uncomfortable, the fact that they're making another one, you know? Because of course, I'm dead, and I have no say in what gets done," Crowe said on the Kyle Meredith With… podcast in June 2024.

"But, a couple of things that I've heard, I'm like, 'No, no, no, no, no. That's not in the moral journey of that particular character.' But you know, can't say anything. It's not my place. I'm six foot under. So we'll see what that is like," he continued.

The original Gladiator movie followed Crowe's Maximus, a Roman general who was the victim of a coup by the evil emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix). He was forced into slavery and fought his way up the ranks as a gladiator so he could take vengeance upon Commodus, who killed his family.

The movie nabbed five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Crowe.

The adidas Eurocamp at La Ghirada Città dello Sport in Treviso remains the premier pre-draft platform in its nineteenth edition. Prospects from 3SSB (3Stripes Select Basketball) and outside the American college system compete at the highest level, as global talent is evaluated and earns visibility in front of scouts who help shape the professional basketball landscape. Past alumni like Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic, and generations of European contributors have reshaped the NBA itself.

"Basketball, especially now, is so globally connected, especially on the Europe and US side, that our investments, whether it's 3SSB, EuroLeague NextGen, or EuroCamp, result in the same thing at the end," adidas GM of basketball Max Staiger said, noting that the camp serves a key function in the brand's vision for the sport. "The investments we're making in Europe might create a platform where somebody is found and goes to a European club and ends up in the NBA."

The 2026 edition brought together six teams and more than 70 athletes ranging from 16 to 22 years old under the slogan "Future In Progress," a message that was seen throughout the event and captured the developmental ethos Eurocamp cultivates each summer, resonating with scouts and players. Over three days, the prospect pool participated in live tournament play, skill development sessions, and mentorship opportunities.

The adidas leadership integrated special guests: Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson, Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner, Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe, and AS Monaco guard Mike James, who shared their perspectives with prospects destined for years of impact in professional basketball. "The athletes who work really well for us are the ones who never forget the joy of playing basketball, the personality beyond the performance," Staiger said, emphasizing that adidas seeks athletes who embody basketball's human dimension. "That connection point is really being a human being at the end of the day."

Players debuted the exclusive AE 2's "Gelato" Crazy Energy+ colorway, a design that nods to Treviso's energy and visual identity, alongside archive-inspired uniforms connecting this class to Eurocamp's enduring legacy.

Eurocamp MVP: Stefan Joksimovic (Slovenia)

Finals MVP: Max Mackinnon (Australia)

Rising Star: Josiah Rose (USA)

Best Defender: Dash Daniels (Australia)

All-Eurocamp Team: Maxence Lemoine (France), Malique Lewis (Trinidad & Tobago), Javon Bardwell (USA), Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje (USA), Pavle Backo (Serbia)

Adidas Eurocamp 2026Stefan Joksimovic, Slovenia, G/F | Eurocamp MVP

Joksimovic walked into Treviso as a name scouts circled and walked out as the camp MVP. His measurements tell part of the story, 6-foot-7 barefoot, 187 pounds, a 6-8 wingspan, all at 17 years old, but the herky-jerky pace and polished footwork told the rest. He bullies smaller defenders in the post, initiates off the bounce, punishes anyone who reaches, and capped the week with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting to remove any doubt. That jumbo-playmaker package, pass, dribble, shoot, all at his size, with enough length to hold up defensively, is exactly what NBA front offices chase.

Stats: 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 53.1% FG and 10.0% 3P.

Max Mackinnon, Australia, G/F | Finals MVP

Make no mistake, Mackinnon was a grown man scoring on teenagers, and he did it efficiently from start to finish. Here at HoopsHype, we have seen the Aussie in person three times this pre-draft cycle, at Portsmouth and G League Elite Camp after his season with LSU, and his game travels: pace, purpose, smart shots, and a jumper that makes defenses pay for sagging or going under. He took over the title game with 21 points on 8-of-14, five assists to one turnover, and steered NBL Next Stars past Eurocamp 1 for the championship. He's a twig, but the shooting is NBA-ready and the decision-making matches; he came to Treviso to lift his stock in a thin second round and did exactly that. He could be a name to keep an eye on as a second-round pick that could be put on a two-way contract or a draft-and-stash.

Stats: 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 51.2% FG and 44.4% 3P.

Javon Bardwell, USA, G/F

No one brought more juice to the floor than Bardwell before illness cut his week short. The Kansas commit plays above the rim, lives at the offensive glass, and refuses to concede a possession. He torched Next Gen for 25 points on 11-of-19 with seven offensive boards in 32-plus minutes. He's the prototypical big two-guard, athletic and physical with a motor that never idles. He isn't a one-and-done, but the tools are real enough to put him in the lottery conversation of a weak 2027 class.

Stats: 18.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.0 blocks on 51.6% FG and 30.0% 3P.

Adidas Eurocamp 2026Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje, USA, F/C

Several scouts told me that it is widely viewed that Boumtje-Boumtje is the projected No. 1 pick of the 2028 draft, and a week in Treviso made the case easy. The Duke-bound five-star, son of former Portland Trail Blazer big man Rueben Boumtje-Boumtje, ran point until he was 14, and it shows in the vision and handle he carries at the four. He's the modern frontcourt archetype every franchise covets: a floor-spacing hub who can slide to the five, guard inside-out, and protect the rim, cut from the same cloth as Paolo Banchero, Alex Sarr, Evan Mobley, and this year's Cam Boozer. He dropped 20 on Eurocamp 2 and backed it with 17 against 3SSB Select, moving like a wing even with his back to the basket. Due to his age, he will have to play two years of college basketball before being eligible for the NBA Draft, similar to Jayden Quaintance, who was too young to enter the 2025 draft.

Stats: 17.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 52.5% FG and 38.5% 3P.

Marc-Owen Fodzo Dada, France, G/F

When Fodzo Dada got rolling, he was the most electric player in the gym, and he rolled in both appearances. The French wing poured in 21 on 8-of-12 against NBL Next Stars and added 12 more in the rout of Team World, getting downhill at will and finishing above the rim. The perimeter stroke gives him genuine two-way scoring upside; at his best, he's unguardable on the open floor, at his worst, he's still productive. The feel, instincts, and shot-creation make him one of the more compelling Europeans in this class.

Stats: 16.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.0 blocks on 56.5% FG and 40.0% 3P.

SECOND TEAMJosiah Rose, USA, G,  Rising Star

The Rising Star award is meant to flag the player who emerged, and Rose made it an easy call. He was everywhere for 3SSB Select, 19 points on 9-of-19 with five assists against Next Gen, then 14 and five more dimes against Team World, contesting, pulling up, finishing, and creating for others. His motor never shuts off, and his feel makes teammates better. The three-ball needs to come around to unlock off-ball reps at the next level, but the toughness, creation, and defensive activity already scream prospect worth tracking.

Stats: 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks on 44.7% FG and 14.3% 3P.

Malique Lewis, Trinidad & Tobago, G/F

Lewis didn't fill the scoresheet, but he made every play that mattered. NBL Next Stars used him as connective tissue, rebounding, facilitating, pressuring the ball, the same role he's filled in the G League and Australia, and he flashed real range when defenses collapsed. He was one of the best teammates in Treviso, which is its own kind of scouting note. Sources told me he's a lock for the second round of this year's draft, and a week like this made it easy to see why.

Stats: 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 44.4% FG and 50.0% 3P.

Jalen Davis, USA, F

Davis was 3SSB Select's steadiest bucket. He scored in double figures all three games and kept his field-goal rate above 54 percent by reading defenses and attacking openings instead of forcing. He closed the tournament with 20 points and six boards on 8-of-15. He rebounds and competes at the point of attack, flashing the two-way awareness coaches value. He won't draw the loudest pre-college buzz, but the production makes him a real prospect.

Stats: 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.3 steals on 54.5% FG and 30.8% 3P.

Teo Miličić, Next Gen, G/F

Miličić carries the basketball pedigree, and he plays like it. His father, Igor Miličić, is a former basketball player and has coached multiple championship teams in Europe. His older brother, Igor Miličić Jr., played at Tennessee last year and is in the G League. The young wing distributed, knocked down perimeter looks, and competed across all three Next Gen games, capping the run with 9 points and seven assists to just two turnovers in the win over Eurocamp 2. He manages pace and reads the floor at a level beyond his years, and the shooting already projects as a weapon. File the name away as he might be the prodigy child of the Miličić lineage.

Stats: 12.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals, on 50.0% FG and 44.4% 3P.

Emmanuel Ahamefule, UK/USA, F

Few players were more productive than Ahamefule, who already plays like he's figured out his pro role. He gets to his spots, finishes with authority and defends with the length to alter shots, and he scored it efficiently all week, headlined by a 20-point, eight-rebound finale on 7-of-10 with a perfect 4-of-4 at the line. The three-ball on low volume is a real bonus in his bag. He knows what he's good at and executes without hesitation, a trait that ages well.

Stats: 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks on 61.1% FG and 60.0% 3P.

Adidas Eurocamp 2026Pavle Backo, Serbia, All-Eurocamp Team

Backo was Eurocamp 2's most dependable scorer across a brutal three-game slate, posting double figures every night with the on-ball aggression coaches trust in big moments. His jumper still needs work, but the scoring instincts, rebounding, and defensive grit are already pro tools, and they earned him an All-Eurocamp nod. Sources told me he's expected to withdraw from the 2026 draft. One detail that stuck with me courtside: Backo is a Type 1 diabetic, now in remission and off medication, and he travels everywhere with wheat bread on hand.

Stats: 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 45.7% FG and 18.2% 3P.

Adidas Eurocamp 2026Oscar Wembanyama, Eurocamp 2, G/F

The name carries weight, and Oscar handled it. He's not his brother and doesn't need to be. What he is right now is a playmaking combo forward with defensive awareness and a developing perimeter game, and he put it together for 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in the rout of Team World. His passing landed him among the tournament's assist leaders, a genuine signal for a player his size. He's young, the ceiling is real, and Treviso was a meaningful first step. The younger Wembanyama, sources told HoopsHype, is not expected to pursue the college route and will be draft eligible until 2029.

Stats: 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 40.0% FG and 36.4% 3P.

Maxence Lemoine, France, All-Eurocamp Team

Lemoine ran Eurocamp 1 and earned his All-Eurocamp selection as one of the most complete European guards on hand. He makes the right read, distributes, and keeps his team organized; the scoring won't jump off the page, but the passing and perimeter defense will. His shot diet needs cleaning up. The feel and decision-making, though, set him up well for whatever comes next.

Stats: 12.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.0 blocks on 41.9% FG and 23.1% 3P.

Adidas Eurocamp 2026, Dash DanielsDash Daniels, Australia, Best Defender

The Best Defender award found the right player. Daniels anchored NBL Next Stars' defensive identity for three games, pressuring ball-handlers at the point of attack, generating deflections and rotating on time, then stuffed the title game with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The Dyson Daniels brother got more offensive reps here than he sees with Melbourne United, enough to keep defenses honest. But his value lives on the end that wins championships, and when NBL Next Stars needed a stop in their title run, he made it.

Stats: 10.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals, on 34.3% FG and 22.2% 3P.

Oscar Cluff, Australia, C/F

Cluff led the entire tournament in rebounding, full stop. The Aussie big man protected the paint and crashed the offensive glass relentlessly across all three games, giving NBL Next Stars the interior presence they needed. He's no perimeter threat and doesn't try to be; his value is physical, interior, and immediately professional. He's the latest in a long line of Boomer bigs who do the dirty work with a steel-lunchpail mentality.

Stats: 7.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks on 34.8% FG and 0.0% 3P.

Gene Roebuck, Honduras/USA, G/F

Roebuck was Team World's engine through a winless week, and the backstory is worth knowing. Born in Honduras, raised in California, he was discovered by NBA veteran Matt Barnes at an outdoor park and used to play in Barnes' EYBL team and trained under him directly. He never had a comfortable lead to lean on, yet kept competing, with six points, four rebounds, and three assists in the championship-day loss to 3SSB Select. He told me Barnes is teaching him to let his defense feed his offense, a philosophy he pairs with heavy film study of Luka Doncic's rookie tape; Providence has already added him to its board, and the scoring instincts and competitive edge are real.

Stats: 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 32.0% FG and 23.5% 3P.

More than 20 years after Boy Meets World ended, Danielle Fishel is still celebrating the friendships that came out of the beloved sitcom.

The 45-year-old actress, who played Topanga Lawrence on the series, recently shared plans for a matching tattoo with former costars Will Friedle, 49, and Rider Strong, 46, while attending the world premiere of Doc Meets World in New York City on June 6.

Fishel told the audience that the tattoo will include the phrase "Pod dismissed" — in the same font as their Boy Meets World scripts — as well as a drawing of a paper airplane.

The design carries special significance for the trio.

Fishel's portrayal of Topanga Lawrence helped make her one of Boy Meets World's most beloved characters, while Friedle and Strong became fan favorites as Eric Matthews and Shawn Hunter.

Decades after the series ended, the three stars continue to celebrate that shared history through Pod Meets World, where they revisit episodes and swap behind-the-scenes stories.

With "Pod dismissed" serving as a signature sign-off for the podcast, the phrase was a fitting choice for a tattoo that honors both their past and present, as "class dismissed" was the emotional closing line spoken by William Daniels' Mr. Feeny in the show's final scene.

When deciding where their tattoos would go, the group quickly discovered they were more in sync than they realized.

Recalling a conversation from the day before the premiere, Fishel said, "We were in the car yesterday and everyone was like, 'Are you guys going to get them? Are you going to all get them in different spots?' And we were like, 'Oh yeah, we're all getting them in different spots.' "

But as it turned out, that wasn't exactly true. Fishel explained that Strong was sitting in the back seat, she was in the middle and Friedle was in the front when Alexandra Barreto, Strong's wife, started asking each of them where they planned to place the tattoo.

Without seeing each other's answers, all three pointed to the same area on their lower arms.

The tattoo's sentimental value doesn't stop with the design or placement. Fishel revealed that she hopes the trio can have the artwork done by someone with a special connection to their Boy Meets World family.

"Another thing I really want to do, that we have to try to work out, just because we keep layering on sentimental thing on sentimental thing — Jeff McCracken, our favorite director's daughter is a tattoo artist," Fishel explained. "So I want Jeff McCracken's daughter to give us something."

And if everything comes together, the tattoo will represent much more than a podcast catchphrase. Between the script font, the shared placement and their hopeful connection to the tattoo artist, the project will become a tribute to friendship that has lasted long after the final episode wrapped.

- Knicks captain and Finals MVP Jalen Brunson just led his team to its first NBA championship in 53 years.

- In a post-game interview, Brunson used some of his airtime to address drama with Swifties.

- Defending reporter Monica McNutt, Brunson asked Swift's fans to "cut her some slack."

The New York Knicks just became NBA Champions for the first time since 1973 — so there was plenty to unpack once team captain Jalen Brunson was off the court and in front of a camera.

Including the frightening power of Taylor Swift's fanbase.

After acknowledging the historic win and dodging weighty questions about his NBA legacy, Brunson made an effort to cool the tension between Swifties and Knicks broadcaster Monica McNutt, who recently upset the fanbase for dissing Swift when she didn't realize that her mic was recording.

"I just want to say something to the Swifties," Brunson said in the post-game interview with McNutt. He then gestured to the reporter, saying, "She's a really good one. Cut her some slack. It's all good, I promise."

Last week, McNutt earned the intense ire of Swifties after she was caught on a hot mic dismissing Swift's allegiance to the team. The "Opalite" singer was among the stars who watched Game 4 from Celebrity Row in Madison Square Garden, leading some to question whether Swift was actually a longtime fan or merely  jumping aboard the Knicks bandwagon.

McNutt was among those skeptics, at one point remarking to a colleague, "Is that Taylor Swift down there? … She's not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl."

Several fans and outlets then jumped at the chance to disprove this, sharing photographic evidence of the singer's Knicks fandom over the past 12 years. McNutt walked back her comments the next day, during a chat with TMZ.

"Swifties, I appreciate your passion. I said what I said," McNut said, addressing the backlash. "And here's the deal, if I'm wrong — and I am wrong, apparently, because she's got an OG Amar'e Stoudemire jersey. I misspoke, I did not know."

McNutt explained that she had become accustomed to seeing several celebrity regulars and Swift was not among them.

"I have not seen [Swift] here this year or last year," McNutt shared, adding that was impressed to learn that Swift has been a fan during some low points with the team, including "the Amar'e Stoudemire era" in 2014 which saw the Knicks finish with an abysmal 17-65 record.

"So shout out to her because that means she's been in the trenches," McNutt praised.

While Swift's allegiance to the Knicks can no longer be questioned, she wasn't the name on Brunson's lips when he was asked to name his favorite celebrity courtside regular earlier this season.

"My number one, love her to death, she knows it… Mariska Hargitay," Brunson revealed on *The Richard Jefferson Show* in a resurfaced clip.

The *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* actress has been a longtime staple at home games, long before Brunson was even in the NBA. Other starry Knicks diehards include Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, and Spike Lee, who were all present to see Brunson lead his team to victory 94-90 over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, clinching the NBA Finals title for the first time in 53 years. Brunson earned Finals MVP honors after scoring 45 points in the game.

*Scooby-Doo* has been a beloved animated franchise since the original series premiered in 1969, but it took until 2002 for a live-action version to be produced. While not exactly a hit with critics, audiences flocked to see the adventures of the Scooby gang investigate mysterious events at an island resort. Over the years, the film has developed cult classic status for its subversive tone (credited to screenwriter James Gunn) and nostalgic early-2000s aesthetic.

One aspect of the film that fans and critics can agree on is the casting. Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Linda Cardellini as Velma, and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy each captured their characters' idiosyncratic quirks, particularly Lillard, who eventually became the main voice of Shaggy for the franchise moving forward. This core gang of four got back together for the 2004 sequel, *Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed*.

A live-action *Scooby-Doo* series is coming to Netflix with an all-new cast announced for 2027, so we're looking at the cast of 2002's *Scooby-Doo* (and its sequel) and solving the mystery of where they are now.

Freddie Prinze Jr. took on the role of the blond ascot-wearing leader of the Mystery, Inc. gang in both *Scooby-Doo *movies. However, later he openly expressed his regret for filming them.

“There was too much bait-and-switch on the first one. The studio was not honest with me in any way, shape or form. They were not straightforward,” Prinze Jr. told TooFab in March 2023. "I've been on two jobs where I've had regret [after] doing it, and *Scooby* was one of them."

"I didn't fully appreciate *Scooby* until it was seen and children came up to me, like, 'Oh my gosh,'" he continued. "All of a sudden I was like, 'Hey, man, we did good.' We did good, there's legit millions of people [who] love this movie. It wasn't the movie I wanted to make, but I appreciate that and it made me change my outlook on it."

Since playing Fred Jones, Prinze Jr. headlined his own short-lived sitcom on ABC, *Freddie*;* *popped up in episodes of *Boston Legal*, *24*, *Bones*, and *Punky Brewster*; and lent his voice to Kanan Jarrus on *Star Wars: Rebels*, as well as in *Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker *(2019). Additionally, he had a cameo alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar in *Clerks III* and starred in the Netflix holiday rom-com *Christmas With You *(2022). The *I Know What You Did Last Summer* (1997) alum reprised his role as Ray Bronson in the 2025 legacy sequel.

Prinze Jr. shares two children with Gellar, with whom he's been married since 2002.

*Buffy the Vampire Slayer* alum Sarah Michelle Gellar strutted in the purple platform boots of the fashionable and upbeat Daphne Blake in both live-action *Scooby-Doo* flicks.

In February 2023, Gellar told Andy Cohen on *Watch What Happens Live *that the cast initially filmed a "less-than-family-friendly" version* *of the original *Scooby-Doo*. "There was an actual kiss between Daphne and Velma that got cut. I feel like the world wants to see it. I don't know where it is," she said. "There was a great line too that I'll never forget. We were having a fight, Daphne and Fred, and then I yell at him, 'And that ascot makes you look gay!' And I slam the door and they cut that, too."

After *Scooby-Doo*, she went on to other projects like *The Grudge *(2004), its 2006 sequel *The Return *(2005),* *and *Suburban Girl* (2007). After taking a nearly decade-long break from film — during which time she reprised her *Cruel Intentions* (1999) character for an unaired television spinoff — Gellar appeared in the movies *Clerks III* (2022) and *Do Revenge* (2022). She also starred on Paramount+'s supernatural series *Wolf Pack* in 2023 and in season 1 of *Dexter: Original Sin* from 2024 to 2025.

After meeting on the set of *I Know What You Did Last Summer*, Gellar began dating *Scooby-Doo* costar Freddie Prinze Jr. in 2000. They married two years later and have two children, a daughter (Charlotte) and a son (Rocky).

Matthew Lillard (Shaggy Rogers)

In both *Scooby-Doo* and *Monsters Unleashed*, Matthew Lillard dons the signature goatee and green V-neck tee of Shaggy Rogers, who joins forces with his canine confidante to bring the mystery-solving gang back together at the beginning of the first film. However, the actor has expressed mixed feelings about what the franchise represented during a certain period of his career.

"I had this moment where I had done big movies, and I had been the lead in *Scooby-Doo*. I got paid a lot of money, it was a huge success, and I was like, ‘Oh I’m set. I’m going to now sort of control my own destiny. I’m a legit Hollywood sort of success,’” he told* *The Ringer in July 2017. “Which was actually the farthest thing from the truth, because I had really kind of pigeonholed myself to be this kind of [hack], on a movie that nobody respected and nobody really liked, and I was kind of like, people sort of thought of me as a hack at that time. At least I felt that way.”

After playing Shaggy in the live-action films, Lillard continued to voice the character in various animated projects, including *Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!*, *Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?*, and more. He also has reinvented himself as an actor with dramatic turns in Alexander Payne’s *The Descendants *(2011) and in episodes of *Twin Peaks: The Return*, *Good Girls*, and* Daredevil: Born Again. *Additionally, he played the main antagonist, William Afton,** **in the 2023 film adaptation of *Five Nights at Freddy’s* and its 2025 sequel. He will soon appear in Mike Flanagan's miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's *Carrie*.

Since 2000, Lillard has been married to realtor Heather Helm, with whom he shares three children: daughter Addison and sons Liam and Jackson.

Linda Cardellini (Velma Dinkley)

Jinkies! Linda Cardellini breathed life into the iconic Velma, the brains behind Mystery, Inc., who's forever losing her glasses.

"Velma has been around since 1969; I just went trick or treating with my daughter and there were a lot of Velmas out there," Cardellini reflected on the character's legacy to EW in November 2022. "So I love that she still has this place in culture that is sort of always active for decades."

After *Scooby-Doo, *Cardellini landed the regular role of Samantha Taggart on *ER*; appeared in episodes of *New Girl *and *Bloodline*;* *did voice work on *Regular Show* and *Gravity Falls*; and earned film credits for *Brokeback Mountain* (2005), *Green Book* (2018), and *Nonnas* (2025). She also joined the MCU in *Avengers: Age of Ultron *(2015) as Laura Barton, a role she reprised in *Avengers: Endgame *(2019) and *Hawkeye*. Additionally, Cardellini earned Emmy nominations for her guest spot on *Mad Men* and her starring role as Judy Hale on *Dead to Me*. She is one of the leads of *DTF St. Louis*, a 2026 HBO Max limited series.

Since 2013, Cardellini has been engaged to her fiancé, Steven Rodriguez, with whom she shares a daughter.

Neil Fanning voices the titular Great Dane, Shaggy's Scooby-snack-loving partner in crime, in both *Scooby-Doo* live-action films.

"I misspent my childhood watching a lot of cartoons...I warm up every day that I have to perform the voice [of Scooby-Doo]. But it comes really naturally, and that’s half the trick, keeping it natural.... It’s like — 'hummmeeemmph!' — pretty much do that and I’m in," Fanning told *Today* in March 2004. "Basically, there are three elements to Scooby: He’s happy, he’s hungry, or he’s scared. Pretty much, that warmup just covers the whole gamut of his emotions very quickly."

Before lending his voice to the iconic character, the Australian actor and stuntman performed for 14 years in the *Police Academy Stunt Show *at* *Warner Bros. Movie World in Queensland before managing the show for many years. The same year he voiced Scooby-Doo for the live-action film, he did stunts for the films *The* *Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course* and *Ghost Ship.*

Following *Scooby-Doo*, Fanning's latest on-screen credits include a 2009 episode of *Sea Patrol* and a 2016 episode of *Wanted*. He also coordinated stunts for the films *The Great Raid* (2005) and *Daybreakers *(2009) and was a stunt supervisor for three episodes of *Surviving Summer*.

Fanning is a father of three children.

In the first live-action *Scooby-Doo*, Rowan Atkinson plays Emile Mondavarious, Spooky Island's owner and Scrappy-Doo's hostage.

After breaking out in 1979 in *The Secret Policeman’s Ball*, the British comedian earned his first feature film credit in the off-brand James Bond vehicle *Never Say Never Again *(1983). However, Atkinson is most recognized for his titular role on *Mr. Bean*, a character he played across various TV and movie projects since 1990.

Post–*Scooby-Doo*, he's continued to play Mr. Bean on *Mr. Bean: The Animated Series* and *Handy Bean* — as well as in several films — and starred in the *Johnny English* film franchise and on Netflix's *Man vs. Bee. *In 2023, he worked opposite Timothée Chalamet in *Wonka**.*

Atkinson has two children with his ex-wife, makeup artist Sunetra Sastry. After 24 years of marriage, the couple divorced in 2015 following Atikinson's affair with actress Louise Ford, with whom he shares a child.

Before portraying Mary Jane — Shaggy's airplane meet-cute while headed to Spooky Island — in the first live-action *Scooby-Doo*, Isla Fisher had made her film debut in the German slasher *The Pool *(2001).

After *Scooby-Doo*, the Australian actress landed her Stateside breakout role in *Wedding Crashers* (2005), followed by parts in movies like *The Lookout *(2007), *Hot Rod *(2007), *Confessions of a Shopaholic *(2009), *The Great Gatsby *(2013),* *the *Now You See Me** *trilogy, *Nocturnal Animals* (2016), and *Godmothered *(2020). She also voiced Maggie opposite Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx in the talking-dog comedy *Strays *(2023). On TV, Fisher had stints on *Bored to Death* and *Arrested Development *and played a werewolf on Peacock's *Wolf Like Me*.

Fisher married *Borat* actor Sacha Baron Cohen in 2010, though they ultimately divorced in 2025. Together, they share three children: daughters Olive and Elula and son Montgomery.

Post–*Scooby-Doo 2,* Green continued to appear on screen, with various TV and film credits for *Dads*, *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend*, *The Rookie, *and* Weird: The Al Yankovic Story* (2022). He also earned additional voice roles in various films and TV shows, including Howard the Duck in the *Guardians of the Galaxy* trilogy and episodes of *What If...?*.

In 2010, Green married actress Clare Grant, with whom he's worked on many projects like *Holidays*, *Star Wars: The Clone Wars*, and more.

In *Monsters Unleashed*, Peter Boyle appeared as Jeremiah "Old Man" Wickles, the ex-convict whose house full of traps ensnared Mystery Inc.

When *Scooby-Doo 2* was released, the veteran actor had already won an Emmy for his guest stint on *The X-Files* and was on his way to earning seven Emmy nominations for playing the cantankerous Frank Barone on *Everybody Loves Raymond*.

Following his role in *Scooby-Doo 2*, Boyle appeared in *The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause* (2006) and died at age 71 that same year.

Boyle is survived by his wife — theater producer Loraine Alterman — and their two daughters, Lucy and Amy.

Tim Blake Nelson takes on the role of the evil Dr. Jacobo in *Monsters Unleashed — *thanks to his son.

“A movie I was going to direct fell through, and I called my agent and said, ‘Look, I now have this free summer. Is there anything you can find me?’ Two days later, my manager and agent called and they said, ‘Well, we have an offer for you to do *Scooby-Doo 2*,’” he told *Tulsa World* (his hometown newspaper) in August 2023. “I was on the phone in my son’s room, and I said, somewhat derisively, '*Scooby-Doo 2*?' And then Henry looked up at me, and he said, ‘You can be in *Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?'* And I said, ‘All right, I’m going to do this.’”

Following his portrayal of Dr. Jacobo, the Juilliard-trained actor booked memorable roles, including Samuel Sterns in *The Incredible Hulk *(2008); Dr. Allen in *Fantastic Four *(2015); and the titular character in the Coen brothers' *The Ballad of Buster Scruggs *(2018). He also appeared on TV shows like *Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt*, *Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities*, and *Poker Face*. Nelson reprised his role as Samuel Sterns in *Captain America: Brave New World** *(2025).

In 1994, Nelson tied the knot with Lisa Benavides, with whom he shares three sons.

Post–*Monsters Unleashed*, Silverstone acted in films like *Beauty Shop* (2005), *The Art of Getting By* (2011), and *Ass Backwards* (2013). After a memorable performance in *The Killing of a Sacred Deer *(2017), the actress scored more parts in *The Lodge* (2019), *Senior Year* (2022), *Bugonia* (2025), and the miniseries *Reptile*.

From 2005 to 2019, Silverstone married musician and radio host Christopher Jarecki, with whom she shares a son named Bear.
