Three years after her breast cancer diagnosis and double mastectomy, Olivia Munn finds ongoing treatment to be "exhausting" – but she's grateful to be alive.

In an interview with CBS News Sunday Morning released March 29, the "Your Friends and Neighbors" actor, 45, told CBS News Correspondent Tracy Smith she's "good today," though "the medicine you have to take afterwards is sometimes so exhausting."

"With that, I think that I'm so lucky. I don't look at it like cancer has taken these things from me or it's unfair that I have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life," she continued. "I know that I'm lucky to be here and I am so lucky that I'm in this chaos and I haven't slept in a few days and I'm exhausted. It's a true privilege to just be alive in the world."

Despite a routine mammogram and ultrasound finding no abnormalities, after the Tyrer-Cuzick Risk Assessment Calculator determined Munn had a 37% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer in 2023, she decided to get an MRI, a second ultrasound and a biopsy. Two months after her clean slate of health, a biopsy found she had Luminal B cancer, an "aggressive, fast moving cancer," in both breasts.

Olivia Munn attends the Los Angeles Magazine's Women Of Impact Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton on March 13, 2026 in Beverly Hills, California.

As part of her treatment, Munn underwent a double mastectomy, a partial hysterectomy (the removal of a uterus) and an oophorectomy (removal of one or both ovaries).

"Now my score is zero," Munn told Smith.

Olivia Munn's new philosophy after 'faced with the possibility of death'

Munn, who shares 4-year-old Malcolm and 1½-year-old Méi with husband John Mulaney, in February 2025, said she has "years to go in my cancer treatment." In the meantime, she tries to find the little joys in life.

In a September Instagram video, Munn shared a timeline of her treatment. The most recent development was that in August, she began taking Arimidex, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a breast cancer treatment that "interferes with the production of estrogen in the body."

"It's not the Christmases and the birthdays and the New Years that we remember," Munn told Smith. "Life happens on a Tuesday. Like, it just happens. And you cannot expect it. And so every day, you should just be so present and grateful."

She continued, "Put your phone down when your kid says 'mommy.' This is what life is made of: It's all these tiny little moments. And once you are faced with the possibility of death and not being here, for me, all I wanted were the little moments."

Celebrities such as Selma Blair, Jada Pinkett Smith, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have embraced speaking out about ongoing health issues, encouraging fans to do the same. Here are more stars who have opened up about their health struggles.Model and socialite Lori Harvey revealed she has been battling polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis — diseases originating in the reproductive system that don't have known causes — for years. In a September 2025 episode of the "She MD Podcast," the entrepreneur said gynecologists dismissed her symptoms for years before she received a proper diagnosis.

The Affordable Care Act mandates that most insurance companies must cover annual screening mammograms for those 40 and older. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends mammogram screenings every other year from ages 40 to 74 for those with an "average" risk for breast cancer.

The National Cancer Institute makes available a Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool, which "allows health professionals to estimate a woman's risk of developing invasive breast cancer over the next five years and up to age 90 (lifetime risk)."

After skin cancer, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women, according to the National Cancer Institute. The NCI's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program found survival rates for breast cancer from 2013 to 2019 were: 99.3% for localized breast cancer only found in breast tissue, 86.#% for regional cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes or organs and 31% for metastatic cancer, which has spread to distant locations.

Help could be on the way for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors next offseason. The Warriors could reportedly try to acquire Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James this offseason, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

The Warriors reportedly tried to trade for Leonard before this year's trade deadline after the Los Angeles Clippers traded James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Ivica Zubac to the Indiana Pacers. The Clippers ultimately held on to Leonard and paired him with Darius Garland, whom the team acquired in the Harden trade.

At 38-36, the Clippers are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference and have not advanced past the first round since the 2020-2021 season. With the Clippers pivoting from an older roster to bring in more youth at the deadline, the Warriors are expected to once again try to trade for the 34-year-old All-Star. Leonard has averaged 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds on 50.4% from the field and 38.1% from 3 in 58 games this season.

James would be easier for the Warriors to acquire than Leonard. The 41-year-old will be a free agent after the season. This year, James has averaged 20.9 points, 6.9 assists and 6.0 rebounds. If James decides to play another season, his fit alongside Curry and longtime friend Draymond Green makes sense from both a basketball and timeline perspective. James has also been linked to a possible return to Cleveland if he decides to leave the Los Angeles Lakers.

Leonard and James would give the Warriors veteran wings with championship experience. Since the Warriors' last championship in 2022, the team has failed to make the Western Conference Finals. After a lack of fit with former first-round picks Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman, and Jordan Poole, the Warriors pivoted from the two-timeline approach to more veteran players such as Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, and Kristaps Porzingis. Butler has been out since January with a season-ending torn ACL, while Horford and Porzingis have struggled to stay on the court due to injuries and medical conditions.

Injuries have ravaged the Warriors this season. Curry has played 29 games this season, his fewest since the 2019-2020 season. He remains out with a knee injury and will be reevaluated this week. Curry remains effective when he plays, averaging 27.2 points and 4.8 assists while shooting 39.1% from behind the arc. Moses Moody also went down with a ruptured left patellar tendon.

The Warriors are 36-38 this season and are currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

SACRAMENTO, CA ― Women's sports has its own community that is supportive of one another.

Ernestine Balisi got a feel for what the community is like just before tip-off of the NCAA Women's Tournament Elite Eight matchup between UCLA and Duke at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Balisi is a singer and on Sunday she was selected to perform the national anthem before the game, something she's done time and time again since 2016. Sunday was her first performance of the anthem at the Golden 1 Center.

Her first time didn't start all too well. Balisi experienced an audio malfunction early on, and throughout the majority of her performance. She was singing, the March Madness fans could hear her on the floor, but her voice wasn't heard from the speaker system.

What happened next was a beautiful display of American patriotism.

The attendees who filled up the Golden 1 Center, understanding the moment, took it upon themselves to cover the arena's audio issues and sing along with Balisi.

"I loved it when the fans sang with me," Balisi told USA TODAY Sports. "That was just like, truly inspiring. And honestly, I'm glad that everyone knows the words, because, you know that's what happens. But like, it's just great whenever people sing along with me."

Performing in front of thousands can be nerve-wracking. Audio difficulties outside of your control is another story.

"I had mixed emotions," Balisi said. "So honestly, I was like, 'OK, should I stop? What should I do?' But at the same time, once I started hearing people sing with me, I was like, well, gotta keep going and go make the show go on. ... I know that the fans are not here for me, so, that's why it's like, just get the song done. At that point you got a minute and 17, just finish it. Thankfully they gave me the other microphone with the wire so that I can finish."

It's not the first time that fans have joined in on the song. Balisi regularly performs at the SAP Center before San Jose Sharks games, where fans sing along all the time, she said, and they especially sing the Canadian national anthem in the Bay.

It also happened once while performing the anthem before a Sacramento Republic game. But the crowd at Golden 1 Center wasn't bad by any stretch.

"That's why I was just like, we're going to keep going it," Balisi said. "They're at least the same key and the same tempo, you know? I'll take that. They heard my pitch. Let's go. ... They were great."

She added: "Honestly, I was glad that they didn't boo me or anything, and they just let me go like I'm gonna support you. And I'm like, 'Thank God,' you know? ... It could be embarrassing, so at least they let me keep going."

Fans weren't going to allow her to fail. In women's sports, they uplift each other. That's what the game is all about.

Sacramento native and Berkeley resident Raya Hazini always sings the national anthem during sporting events, so when the incident before Sunday's Elite Eight game happened she continued to do what she always naturally does.

"As a player in college, I sang," she told USA TODAY. "So I just yelled, 'let's sing.' And my section was, it's 125, 126, we started singing, and then everything else started going."

Los Angeles native-turned-Discovery Bay resident Nate Rubin sported his UCLA gear as he took in the national anthem moment. He didn't sing, saying he's not that good, but he felt pride in his country after the moment.

"I thought it was awesome. In a time when the country is very divided, to have everybody help the singer with her mic, going out and sing the national anthem. I thought it was great," Rubin said. "You could tell she was appreciative of it. It could have been an embarrassing moment, and everybody picked her up. It's nice to see when we're all together. I wish there was more of it. I think we agree more than we disagree, but at least we got to see it in person today, which was awesome."

Clifford Winston was among those who joined in the moment.

"I got up and started singing. Few people around me wasn't singing," Winston said. "I thought 'this is awesome,' it was flat-out awesome, so I started singing, too."

That's what sports is all about.

"It's just like in the NBA, Maurice Cheeks was a coach when (a singer) forgot the words and and he went up and hugged her and sang, it's just the community," Hazini recalled. "The game is win or loss, but everybody here is just a community. So we raise people up. And I thought that's what Sac is about. Sactown is about community."

She added: "Women's sports has been on the margins forever and since Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers and all the greats (emerged), you know, the community, women's sports community, is very strong, and we're always raising people up. We're not trying to marginalize because we are marginalized already. We're going to keep going and we raise up. And you saw it today."

Real Women Have Curves debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002

The director of Real Women Have Curves is thrilled to watch American Ferrera's career continue to flourish, almost 25 years after the film first premiered.

At the 2026 New York Women in Film and Television Muse Awards in New York City on March 20, Patricia Cardoso reminisced on what it was like meeting then-teenage Ferrera over two decades ago.

"When I met her, she was 17 years old. She had never been in a movie. She was still one of the smartest people I've ever met," Cardoso, 65, tells PEOPLE, noting that Ferrera was "also so talented and so strong."

"Now to see what her career and her life have become, it's very rewarding to feel that I play a part in that trajectory and so happy to see that we have representation at that level," she adds.

Real Women Have Curves came out in January 2002, and in addition to Ferrera, the movie starred Josefina López, Lupe Ontiveros, Ingrid Oliu, Estela Garcia and George Lopez. The comedy-drama about a first-generation Mexican-American teen at odds with her parents about her future also inspired a Broadway show of the same name.

Cardoso tells PEOPLE that the inspiration for the movie came from her mother, saying, "My mother was a very difficult mother, but she inspired me to create the movie of Real Women Have Curves that I made 25 years ago."

"It still has such a huge impact in our culture that I would say that she's my muse," Cardoso adds.

In 2024, Ferrera spoke to PEOPLE about what it was like to see the movie premiere at Sundance all those years ago.

Ferrera remembered celebrating "with a packed audience as they laughed and cried and applauded and then gave us a minutes-long standing ovation."

She told PEOPLE that moment "changed my entire world. I was getting to live out my wildest dreams. I'll never forget it."

After gaining recognition for her performance as Ana Garcia, Ferrera went on to star in Ugly Betty, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Barbie and more.

Thiele, however, tells PEOPLE that working with his best friends means that it doesn't feel like work

He also recently curated an eBay N.Y.C. Edit collection focused on vintage-inspired comfort and shared his love for unique fashion finds

Owen Thiele has a lot going on. The actor and podcaster just wrapped filming the second season of Adults, is currently filming Molly Gordon's Peaked and is set to rejoin the cast of Overcompensating for season 2.

When chatting with PEOPLE, however, the 29-year-old insists that "it feels like I'm doing things that I love and it doesn't feel stressful."

"It feels really fun," he says. "It feels like I'm going from a job where I'm working with my best friends, Adults, and then I'm going to a movie with a friend I've known since I was 2, and then I'm going to another show where [Benito Skinner] is creating, and he's one of my best friends."

"I feel like I'm just hanging out with my friends, and I'm so lucky because they work so much, and so I'm lucky to see them while they work. It doesn't feel like work," Thiele adds.

Despite all of his projects' success, he says the process still feels like they're "making a short film in high school that no one will ever see."

"It ultimately does go out to the masses, but it has that spirit," he says. "It has the spirit of 'boots on the ground, let's take a camera and let's make this, and let's see what happens.' We feel supported and loved. That's what makes good art, feeling supported and loved by the people you're making it with."

Thiele also teases what fans can expect from season two of Adults, sharing that, ultimately, it's about a "friend group that has complicated feelings towards each other because of what happened last season."

"We're navigating through that. I think what the writers have done so brilliantly is they've kept the love between us all. It feels like a real friend group," he tells PEOPLE. "When the going gets tough, you still choose your friends. There's definitely some drama, which I think is a lot of fun. It's also fun for my character because Anton is truly so guarded."

What's been especially fun for the new season, he shares, is "playing with his depth and his vulnerability and showing that to people."

In addition to his work on screen, his podcast, In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele, has built a cult following thanks to his candid late-night style conversations with celebrities from Kendall Jenner to Hailey Bieber and more.

However, there are a few more superstars he'd love to welcome to the set.

"Let's get Sabrina Carpenter or Taylor Swift on my podcast. But, also, if they don't want to, I respect you both, and I love you, and I totally understand," he says.

Regardless, his dream for the year is to "keep creating things that I'm proud of."

"I feel like working with your friends... I'm so infinitely proud of my friends, and I'm so lucky to be part of their work," he emphasizes. "I would be proud of it if I weren't in it, so to be able to be involved, I feel so lucky to keep working with people that I admire and respect."

Inspired by a viral tweet about a potential crossover between Adults, Overcompensating and I Love L.A., Thiele shares, "Rachel Sennott, this is your official notice. I gotta be in I Love L.A."

Thiele was also recently tapped to curate some of his current fashion obsessions for the eBay N.Y.C. Edit. The collection he curated is "all about comfort," he says.

"But, I'm also all about looking cute. My trend for this season is no trend at all. Put on the oldest thing your grandpa owns, and it'll be cute," he shares. "Vintage sweaters, button-down shirts that probably are too big, pants that don't fit quite right, that you need a belt."

While he's leaning into dressing both cute and comfortable, there's one style trend Thiele wants to leave behind: shoulder pads.

"Unless it's actually your grandpa's blazer that you're wearing. I'm over the huge shoulder pad," Thiele says.

"Every time I go on eBay, I'm so excited because I can type in the most specific thing — quarter zip, Ralph Lauren, '90s, oversized, blue with stripes, and it's there. That's why I love it so much," he says. "You're buying things from people in places that you feel like you'll never even go, but somehow you're like, 'Why are we aligned fashion-wise? Why do we know each other in a fashion past life?' "

Over the weekend, Paul McCartney's Los Angeles concert proved to be quite the star-studded affair, drawing out a huge wave of A-list celebrity attendees.

The legendary artist and Beatles member performed at the historic Fonda Theatre on L.A.'s famed Hollywood Boulevard. The intimate concert venue, which can only accommodate up to 1,200 guests, set the stage for a rare, close-knit concert experience—made all the more exclusive by its famous guest list, which included current music power players like Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Olivia Rodrigo, to name a few.

According to an Instagram post from DeuxMoi, other celebrities photographed arriving and leaving the event included Billie Eilish, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, John Mayer, Emma Watson, Tate McRae, Jason Bateman, Renee Rapp, and many more. The concert was notably a phone-free event, with no photos or videos permitted, adding to its air of exclusivity and ensuring the moment remained largely off social media—despite the high-profile audience.

Still, some glimpses of the evening emerged through DeuxMoi, including photos showing Swift and Rodrigo in conversation within a small group, as well as images of John Mayer departing the venue behind Tate McRae and influencer Jake Shane.

Additional reports from CNN noted even more legendary musicians in attendance, including Stevie Nicks and McCartney's fellow Beatles member Ringo Starr—further cementing the night as a generational crossover moment.

McCartney posted photos from the concert, aptly titled Paul McCartney Rocks the Fonda!, on Instagram. The musician captioned the post, "We came, we saw, we rocked! Thank you Los Angeles for two amazing nights!"
