Priyanka Chopra Jonas says she and Nick Jonas prioritize daughter Malti's anonymity as she grows older

Chopra Jonas says they hire security to prevent Malti from being recorded without consent in public

She emphasizes wanting Malti to have the choice to embrace or avoid public life in the future

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is explaining her decision to keep her daughter's face out of the spotlight.

The Bluff star, 43, joins this week's episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast to talk about her beauty pageant days, her upcoming action-thriller film and her life as a mom. In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE ahead of the Tuesday, March 10 episode, Chopra Jonas opens up about her and husband Nick Jonas' decision to keep their daughter Malti, 4, off of social media as she gets older.

"As she's growing older, we've started to also kind of just deflect a little bit," the mom of one says. "She moves around a lot, [so we] let her have as much anonymity as she can."

"It is her normal, and people will be curious about her, and I never want her to be fearful of that or judgy or skeptical of the humans that she meets because there are good people in the world, and I've had wonderful experiences with friends like that," Chopra Jonas adds. "It's okay for her to be aware of it, but to have a sense of choice, I think will be important."

Chopra Jonas also explains why she hires security when her family of three goes out.

"When we have security out and about, it's just ... to not be recorded without consent because a lot of that happens," she explains, sharing that her daughter was once followed home from school by a normal person recording her.

While the Heads of State actress has accepted that she decided to have a public life that people are interested in, she says that she wants to ensure her daughter has the ability to make that choice for herself.

"I've always been of the opinion that I kind of chose a public life," Chopra Jonas says. "I'm pragmatic enough to be like that's the nature of the beast. If you're gonna live a public life, people will be interested and curious."

"[When] it comes to children, that's ... terrain we are all learning in the last like 10 to 20 years what that is gonna be like in the next 10 years, 15 years for them," she continues. "So I think a little bit of grace is required for everyone, but also certain awareness of safety and what that means."

The doting mom, who welcomed her daughter in January 2022, concludes by acknowledging that public curiosity about her daughter is "great," saying she loves to talk about her. However, similar to her character in The Bluff, Chopra Jonas prioritizes Malti's protection above everything else.

"I love talking about Malti. She's an amazing, smart, precocious, [and] fun kid," she says of her daughter. "I mean, for me, this movie, like it was all about that, like the feeling of, 'What are you capable of? What will you do to protect your child? How far will you go,' and I feel that."

Neil Flynn is opening up about working with Harrison Ford and Michael J. Fox on season 3 of Shrinking

"It was very strange to be in that situation," he says of filming with the two legends. "But this late in the game, it's all a thrill"

Neil Flynn was "thrilled" to return to Shrinking season 3 and film alongside Harrison Ford and Michael J. Fox.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Scrubs revival season 1 premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Monday, Feb. 23, Flynn, 65, opened up about what it was like to work with the legendary actors.

"All my scenes so far have been with Harrison, which is just great," Flynn says. "Recently, we did one with Harrison and Michael J. Fox where the two of them were in the room, and it was very strange to be in that situation. But this late in the game, it's all a thrill."

He is quick to give credit to show creator and his longtime friend for casting him. "That's thanks to Bill Lawrence, inviting me to join in the fun," Flynn says.

The Middle actor shared that he has a "solid friendship" with Lawrence, which all started decades ago. "I met Bill when he was about 22 years old, and we agreed to play in the same league basketball. It had nothing do with show business," Flynn reveals.

The two have since gone on to work together on both Shrinking and Scrubs, the latter of which recently returned with a revival. "Years later, I moved away, and when I came back we happened to cross paths again and he was at an executive producer on Scrubs," Flynn recalls about landing a role as a janitor in season 2. "We've always had a solid friendship based on things other than show business."

On Shrinking, Flynn plays Raymond, a long-term patient of Ford's Dr. Paul Rhoades. Season 3 of the Apple TV+ series follows Dr. Rhoades as he grapples with Parkinson's disease.

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991, came out of retirement to guest star as Gerry, a patient with Parkinson's. Gerry befriends Dr. Rhoades as they both navigate life with the neurodegenerative disease.

The Back to the Future actor told PEOPLE that "it was amazing" to work opposite Ford.

"[He's] so brilliant and so fun to work with," he said. "[He's] so protective of me and wanted me to have a great experience."

Fox, 64, previously said that Ford's performance in the show moved him to tears and made him want to be a part of it.

"That's one thing that's amazing about Harrison. He doesn't have Parkinson's, but he's a brilliant actor. I don't have to convince him I have Parkinson's, but he had to convince me he had Parkinson's," Fox told Vanity Fair. "What I wasn't prepared for was how much of his own understanding of the disease he brought to it. I mean, I recognized Parkinson's in his eyes. The things I was feeling, I recognized in the way he was expressing himself.… I was just brought to tears by it."

After hearing Fox sing his praises, Ford, 83, described the actor as "generous, supportive, open, just a wonderful person. And pretty goddamn good actor too."

Lawrence, 56, previously told PEOPLE that Fox inspired Dr. Rhoades' storylines. The two worked together on the producer's breakout series, Spin City, in 1996. "It's cool to get to write about things you care about now, and Michael J. Fox is my first mentor, so we wanted to represent it in hopefully an inspiring and not sad or tragic way," he explained.

New episodes of Shrinking drop Wednesdays on Apple TV.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — For the second consecutive year, the hypercompetitive category of best international film at the Academy Awards includes a Brazilian film that has also earned a nomination for best picture, best acting and achievement in casting.

"The Secret Agent," directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, will compete for the award on March 15 in Los Angeles, a year after Walter Salles' "I'm still here" won the statuette for best international film — and there is significant chance that it could secure a second triumph for Brazilian cinema.

"So many good things have happened to the film and it feels like it just keeps going," Mendonça Filho said in an interview in Mexico City, where "The Secret Agent" is playing in theaters.

The director of films such as "Bacurau," "Pictures of Ghosts" and "Aquarius," credits this milestone for Brazilian cinema, in part, to public funding for cinematography in Brazil, which he said leads to diversity in production and highlights the talent available.

"What I want now, today talking to you, is that...there is a film being edited in Brazil by someone and maybe this film we will be talking about next year. That's what I want," he said.

Set in the northern city of Recife in 1977, "The Secret Agent" explores themes such as the loss of personal and collective memory. The character played by star Wagner Moura assumes a false identity to avoid his pursuers during the military dictatorship while obsessively searches public records for any trace of his mother. At the same time, he is at risk of vanishing from his own son's memory.

"In my country memory is associated with class," said Mendonça Filho. "For example, well-off families from the middle class, they all have family albums. But if you go to poor families ... they don't. It's an incredibly strong theme to be discussed. And I think that's what the film is about. The film is very much about not having existed. Not because of you, but because of society."

Despite the risk of erasing memory, the film is anchored in the memories of Mendonça Filho and aided by the production design of Thales Junqueira and the costumes of Rita Azevedo, through fashion, buildings, cars, as well as an endearing cast, which includes the septuagenarian Tânia Maria in the role of Dona Sebastiana.

It is still a Brazilian film, so despite the misfortune, there are moments of comedy such as a "hairy leg" attack, a media hoax used to justify crimes, and nostalgic tributes to local theaters that once showed hits like "Jaws."

"1977 is the first year I remember", the director said. "I was already a little cinephile. I was very interested in cars. I don't know anything about cars today, but cars at the time were really interesting for me. People I remember, clothes, colors. And when I was writing the script, I really felt myself crawling back into time, into myself."

Mendonça Filho said he was looking for an exciting tone for the film, shot in Panavision, and that it would have a captivating sound, full of music.

"Much like the films from the past that made people want to see films in a cinema," he said. "Sometimes it can be brutal, but it's also full of love and it's very much about life in Brazil and in Latin America".

Corey Feldman is responding to fan outrage, alleging he was left out of a tribute to Rob Reiner at the upcoming Academy Awards.

The actor, 54, said in a March 6 post on X that he was "not invited" to Sunday's Oscars ceremony to honor Reiner, who directed him in the 1986 film "Stand By Me." The Daily Mail previously reported that Feldman was not asked to participate in a planned tribute to Reiner at the ceremony scheduled for March 15.

Feldman, though, tried to tamp down fan outrage over his alleged lack of an invitation.

"I understand many believe [it's] due 2 being outspoken about the abuse I suffered as a child & the campaign 2 silence me," Feldman wrote in an all-caps X post. "However, this [isn't] about me! [It's] not my moment @ all! [It's] about the tragic loss of [our] friend Rob Reiner & his memory."

Corey Feldman visits SiriusXM at SiriusXM Studios on Jan. 12, 2023, in New York City.

Feldman also asked his fans to "please take down any petitions" pushing for him to be invited to the Oscars, adding, "They [don't] need me there." He also said that he will "honor Rob my own way."

USA TODAY has reached out to the Academy for comment.

Feldman starred as Teddy in Reiner's classic coming-of-age movie "Stand By Me" opposite Wil Wheaton, Jerry O'Connell and River Phoenix.

Reiner was found dead alongside his wife, Michele Singer, in December. Their son, Nick Reiner, has been charged with their murder. He has pleaded not guilty.

Reiner has been honored at several other awards shows over the past several months, including January's Golden Globes. Host Nikki Glaser ended the evening by donning a "This Is Spinal Tap" hat and referencing a line from Reiner's 1984 comedy.

Chelsea Handler also honored Reiner while hosting January's Critics' Choice Awards, praising the late filmmaker as the "nicest guy in Hollywood."

The incident occurred during MGK's Lost Americana Tour

MGK was concerned after a fan fell through a hole in the stage at his recent London show.

The "Cliché" singer, 35, brought several fans on stage while performing his song "Bloody Valentine" during his Lost Americana Tour stop at London's O2 Arena on Thursday, March 5 — and one took what could've been a very dangerous fall.

Fan-captured videos of the moment were shared to social media and showed MGK walking on stage while followed by fans, one of whom slipped into a gap in the floor. "Oh my God! Hold up," said the musician, who quickly changed a lyric of "Bloody Valentine" and sang, "I really hope that you're okay."

After helping the fan back on stage, MGK asked, "Are you okay?" The fan indicated they were alright, to which he replied, "Let's f---ing go!"

He later checked on the fan, who tried to apologize. "Oh, dude. No, no, no," said MGK. "Sorry? That was the coolest thing you could have ever f---ing done. This is the first time I've ever sold out the O2. That's the first time anyone's ever fell off the stage, dude. Let's f---ing go."

MGK embraced the fan for a hug, and they walked over to his mic stand — where he gave the attendee a gift.

"Okay, you know what? I wear this hat every f---ing day," said the Grammy-nominated star, picking up the "special" hat and explaining it was a gift from a friend. "F--- that, it's yours."

The moment went down about halfway through the show, and he continued performing afterward.

MGK's Lost Americana Tour continues its European leg through March 12 in Dublin. He'll then play a string of April shows in Australia and New Zealand.

The tour's second U.S. leg kicks off in May with co-headliner Wiz Khalifa.

MGK's Lost Americana album came out in August 2025 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
