A powerful daytime dynasty is coming to an end.

Kelly Kruger and Darin Brooks, known for their long tenures on *The Bold and the Beautiful*, are divorcing after nearly 10 years of marriage, representatives for both actors confirmed to ** on Tuesday.

The split was first reported by TV Insider, to which the couple contributed the following joint statement: "We're committed to coparenting our two children and remaining friends."

Kruger and Brooks are both veteran soap stars, having gotten their respective starts in daytime in the early 2000s.

Brooks got his first acting gig in 2005 on *Days of Our Lives*. He took over the role of the quick-tempered adoptee Max Brady from Ryan Brennan, and played the character to multiple Daytime Emmy nominations through 2010. Brooks then moved over to *Bold* in 2013 to play the strong-willed playboy Wyatt Spencer, earning another Emmy nod in 2021 and concluding his run in 2024.

Kruger, meanwhile, got her start taking over for Ashley Bashioum as Mackenzie Browning on *The Young and the Restless* in 2002. That stint lasted two years, with a follow-on of two years in 2018 and 2019. The actress found her groove in 2013 on *Bold*, the*Y&R* sister series, playing the good-natured publicist Eva. Kruger and Brooks overlapped on the show for six years (on and off), with Kruger eventually wrapping up her time in 2021.

The couple met on a different series. They were both cast on the the Paramount Network (née Spike TV) original *Blue Mountain State*, a collegiate football sitcom that also starred Denise Richards and a pre-*Reacher* Alan Ritchson.

"We actually have the same acting coach, Ivana Chubbuck, and I had booked a role on the show," Kruger revealed in a joint interview with Soaps.com* *in 2016. "She basically called Darin and said, 'Look out for my girl, she is going to be on the show.'"

Brooks recalled, "We became best friends and for a good three to six months she was telling me who to date. We were spending so much time together and one day I just grabbed her head and I kissed her."

The pair married in March 2016, and later welcomed two children: Everleigh, 6, and Gemma, 4.

Believe it or not, it is possible to scare Eddie Vedder, the Pearl Jam lead singer who has performed for countless millions across the world.

In fact, the rocker had a visit with fellow rocker Bruce Springsteen that did just that, he revealed Tuesday on* **The Howard Stern Show*.

"I've known Bruce pretty good for quite some time," Vedder told Stern. "All I could say is everything you imagined him to be, you're not even halfway there — just as a person, as an artist, as a friend."

But — and a very big but — Vedder's review of his *experience* with "The Boss" was less than gushing.

***Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our ******EW Dispatch newsletter******.***

It had started with horses, which Vedder is "terrified" of anyway, when the singer went riding with Springsteen and their wives, Jill Vedder and Patti Scialfa.

"And that ride with Bruce did not help anything at all," the "Alive" singer said. "He says, 'You know, here's what's going to happen. You're going to get on the horse. The horse is going to walk. You're going to get off the horse. That's what's going to happen.' And I was trying to act not terrified. I was like, 'I got this.'"

Vedder said he was employing a strategy of, "Don't let the shark know you're scared," which did not work this time.

"For whatever reason, my horse just took off, and I'm kind of headed off the trail into this forest of trees," he recalled. "I don't know what is happening, and I'm just trying to like surf. What I remember is like surfing the horse and looking, 'Where am I going to jump? Where I going to jump?' You know, everybody's helping, yelling stuff like, 'Pull right, pull left,' and I can't see a clear space to jump."

Eventually, mercifully, Vedder was left unharmed.

"It stopped, and then everyone was a little mystified," he said. "Patti was like, 'That's very odd. That's very odd. He might be barn sour.' And then, damn it, if the horse didn't do it again. So, in the end, Bruce said that was pretty good horsemanship that I didn't crack my head."

Stern took the opportunity to remind Vedder that he could come to visit him, where he was guaranteed to not encounter a horse.

Andy Dick is opening up about an apparent overdose he suffered in December.

The comedian and *NewsRadio *star has not spoken much about the incident, which was captured on video originally published by TMZ. That video showed Dick slumped over and unresponsive in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Dec. 9 with his glasses fallen from his face, while others at the scene called an ambulance and attempted to help him gain consciousness.

Dick appeared on the *Howie Mandel Does Stuff *podcast* *on Tuesday, where Mandel pressed him for more details on what happened, how it happened, and what his health looks like now.

"You were dead. Were you dead?" the *America's Got Talent *judge asked. "Yeah," Dick responded, but before he could elaborate, Mandel wanted to know more.

"Did your heart stop, like legitimately, clinically dead?" Mandel insisted. Dick responded that his heart did stop, saying he went "purple" and was "not breathing."

"As everyone knows, Andy has been battling his addictions for years.  There was an incident this past December, but I am happy to report that Andy is healthy, sober and doing great!" a representative for Dick told * *on Tuesday.

On the podcast, Dick said he has no memory of the experience.

"There were no bright lights — I wish, I'd go back," he joked. His first recollection of the day came when he was "waking up in the ambulance."

He explained that the man who can be seen in the video helping him sit up and calling emergency services is Adam Carbone, the director of a documentary chronicling his rocky journey to sobriety. Though Dick said he didn't know who gave him the drug that caused such an intense reaction, nor does he know what the drug is, Carbone, who also joined Dick in Mandel's studio, explained that "the guy who he got the drug from had NARCAN."

NARCAN is an over-the-counter nasal spray designed to counteract the onset of an opioid overdose.

Dick now resides in a sober living community, he revealed, where you're "not allowed to" use substances, and where "they drug test you."

Still, Mandel asked him if he was high because he seemed "out of it a little." Dick explained that both his energy levels and his memory have been impacted by years of substance use: "They did a CAT scan thing, or whatever they call it in your brain, and I have all these — there's about five to seven holes."

In his statement to **, Dick's representative clarified, "The issue with his brain is from the 2019 attack that almost killed Andy when an unprovoked attacker cold cocked Andy while he was outside of the club he and Paris Dylan had just performed.  We are assured that his brain will heal."

A separate representative for Dick used the same language to describe the incident to NBC New Orleans affiliate KPLC 7 in 2019, that Dick was standing in front of French Quarter club One Eyed Jack's after a show "when the guy cold cocked him while he was talking to someone... Andy's head fell into the wall, then fell into the motorcycle, then cracked on the cement."

Footage capturing the incident was eventually released and a suspect was apprehended, but the case was eventually dropped.

When repeatedly pushed to answer why he turns to substances like drugs and alcohol, Dick said, "Boredom. I get bored easily, and and it sounds dumb and it's just an excuse... But it's a problem."

A representative for Dick told PEOPLE in late January that the comedian was "out of rehab," "sober," and has a lot to look forward to. Dick's daughter Meg with ex Lena Sved is pregnant, which means he's expecting his first grandchild.

Ella Langley can say she has a good friend and supporter in fellow country music superstar Miranda Lambert. So much so that the Texas native, 42, is serving as a co-producer on the Alabama-born star's upcoming highly anticipated sophomore album, Dandelion, the follow-up to 2024's Hungover.

On a recent episode of Country Countdown USA, where she co-hosted alongside radio personality Lon Helton, Langley opened up about her close friendship with Lambert. During the Feb. 23rd discussion, she talked about the two's working relationship and shared some helpful advice she received from Lambert that has guided her through the ups and downs of her career along the way.

"[She said to me] 'You are more important than this job,'" Langley, 26, recalled Lambert's wise words, adding. "She made me care for myself. Having someone like that made me feel like I'm okay."

Miranda Lambert Is a Co-Writer on 'Choosin' Texas'

For Langley, Lambert's influence has also led to a dream songwriting session as the pair co-wrote Langley's current single, "Choosin' Texas," alongside her and songwriters Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor.

While Lambert has spent decades in the studio recording songs for her own albums since the early 2000s, she has approached co-producing Langley's forthcoming project with the same level of care as she would her own.

"[She is] such a godsend for me. I always wanted to produce a record with her," Langley said of Lambert. "After we wrote Choosin' Texas, she was there for all the sessions."

'Choosin' Texas' Made History

The Platinum-certified "Choosin' Texas" has had a historic run since its release on Oct. 17, 2025. Earlier this year, the heartbreak tune gave Langley the title of becoming the first woman to simultaneously lead the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts.

More recently, Langley and Megan Moroneyhave made history as the first two female country artists to top both Billboard's major all-genre charts simultaneously. Moroney claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with her third album, Cloud 9, while Langley's "Choosin' Texas" returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after getting pushed out of that position for a week.

"We were talking on FaceTime the other night. We've made history with this song, both just baffled and grateful," Langley said of a recent conversation she had with Lambert about "Choosin' Texas." "We loved the song, but never thought it would do this. There's no way you can predict it."

Dandelion becomes available on April 10.

Few actors can claim a Hollywood career that spans over half a century, but Paula Prentiss has done exactly that.

The beloved film star who rose to fame in the 1960s turns 88 today, making another noteworthy birthday for an actress whose career has spanned six decades. Her performances have made a memorable mark on classic Hollywood comedies and television alike.

Prentiss was born Paula Ragusa in San Antonion, Texas, and she first gained attention while studying drama at Northwestern University. She "took a class with an acting teacher named Alvina Krause. She had an MGM talent scout visit her classes, he had come there before," she shared in a 2019 interview. Prentiss' talent was unmistakable, and shortly after the scout's visit, she was signing a contract and heading to Hollywood.

The starlet's breakthrough came in 1960 when she starred opposite Jim Hutton in the comedy, Where the Boys Are. The film became a major hit, essentially launching her career and becoming one of the era's most defining youth-oriented films.

Over the decade to follow, she earned a reputation for her comedic timing and quick wit, and starred in a series of successful films, including Man's Favorite Sport with Rock Hudson and the star-studded film What's New Pussycat? These performances helped establish her as one of the most recognizable comedy actresses of the era.

In the later half of the decade, Prentiss stepped into the world of television with the sitcomHe & She, starring opposite her off-screen husband, Richard Benjamin. The series not only earned critical praise, but secured her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

Prentiss continued appearing in film and television projects in the years to follow, including The Parallax View and The Stepford Wives, which went on to become a cult classic.

Today, as she celebrates her 88th birthday, Prentiss remains an enduring symbol of classic Hollywood charm.

No sibling rivalry here. Maggie Gyllenhaal left a sweet note for her little brother Jake Gyllenhaal when she visited* The Late Show With Stephen Colbert* on Monday.

When Jake sat down on Tuesday's show, Colbert explained that Maggie had left the missive, but she wouldn't explain what it meant. She had simply said that she was tucking her note into the chair.

"I don't know what she left you," Colbert said.

"'You're a beast' is what she wrote," Jake said, before confirming that the phrase, held meaning for the siblings.

"My sister did a show on Broadway that she was acting in," Jake said, "and it was an amazing experience for her, but also she was going through things. I went into her dressing room before opening night — one of the previews maybe — and I just wrote, 'You're a beast.'"

As if that weren't sweet enough, Jake said that they then made a habit of writing the simple sentence on each another's mirrors.

"She's written it on my mirror every opening night," he explained to Colbert and his audience.

Interestingly, Jake said he thought the new movie, *The Bride!*, that his sister directed is connected to the message.

"I think that's part of what her movie is about," Jake said. "And I think it's also about all of us seeing that in each other and communally going out together experiencing life, like you would here or like you would at a rock concert, or why you'd go to the movies, to go experience something together and feel that part of yourself."

Jake then quipped, "That's also something she told me to say, that she forgot to tell everybody last night," to big laughs.

The famous brother and sister, now 45 and 48, have acted since they were children in the early '90s. Both have since been nominated for acting Oscars — him for the 2005 movie *Brokeback Mountain* and Maggie for 2009's *Crazy Heart*. She also received a nod for co-writing 2021 movie *The Lost Daughter*, which she also directed.

Her latest project is *The Bride!*, a horror-romance starring Christian Bale as Frankenstein and *Hamnet*'s Jessie Buckley as the titular bride. The movie arrives in theaters Friday.
