It's the beginning of the end for the historical romantic drama *Outlander*, which kicks off its final season as Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) defend Fraser's Ridge from war-seeking outsiders.

Also on TV, *Project Hail Mary* star Ryan Gosling hosts *Saturday Night Live*, *Love Is Blind* wraps up its latest season, we're introduced to a new *Young Sherlock*, the *NCIS* franchise returns, and the One Chicago franchise stages a big crossover event.

In theaters, *Hamnet* Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley takes on a very different role in Maggie Gyllenhaal's *The Bride!*, starring opposite Christian Bale as Frankenstein. And in Disney-Pixar's *Hoppers*, an animal lover uses new technology to "hop" her consciousness into that of a robotic beaver so she can communicate with animals.
