Wet the rim of a champagne flute or coupe with a lime wedge or water; dip it in granulated sugar to coat the rim. Pour ¼ cup chilled grapefruit juice and 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) chilled tequila into the glass, stirring to combine. Top with 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) champagne. Garnish with a grapefruit rind, and serve.
