Things at Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network appear to be, well, unwell, according to a new report.

A Bloomberg article published on Monday, April 20, alleged that Cooper’s podcast network has seen a dramatic turnover in staff over the past two years. The piece also claimed that Cooper’s husband, film and TV producer Matt Kaplan, who Bloomberg said runs the network’s day-to-day operations, has been at the center of internal turmoil.

According to the report, Kaplan “has earned a reputation for frequently yelling at staff members,” resulting in crew members reportedly threatening to walk off projects if he “doesn’t keep his distance.”

The piece further alleged issues on the set of the network’s recent YouTube series, Unwell Winter Games. Kaplan allegedly “berated the staff on set and threatened to prevent them from ever working in Hollywood again if they messed up, resulting in a prominent, long-experienced crew member breaking down in tears.”

Cooper, 31, and Kaplan, 42, launched the Unwell Network in 2023 as a burgeoning network of podcasts anchored by Cooper’s own hit show, “Call Her Daddy.” The company has since expanded into TV production and live events and launched its own creative agency.

Cooper and Kaplan, who is credited as a producer on the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film series and spinoff TV show XO, Kitty, wed in April 2024. He was previously married to The Vampire Diaries actress Claire Holt from 2016 to 2017.

Earlier this month, Cooper hit the headlines as she addressed her falling out with former Unwell podcaster Alix Earle. Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast was dropped by Unwell in February 2025, Variety reported at the time, and rumors have since circulated of a feud between the former colleagues.

Alex Cooper Addresses Rumor She Made Employee Change Her Name Because of Matt Kaplan’s Ex-Wife

Cooper directly addressed the Dancing With the Stars alum after Earle, 25, reposted a shady TikTok that referred to Cooper as the “grim reaper.”

“Just say what you gotta say about me. There’s no NDA, and no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself. What’s the beef?” Cooper hit back in a subsequent TikTok video on April 13. “I’m really tired of waking up and seeing you using this fake drama to distract from other s*** going online for you. Not interested. I know what happened and so do you. So talk. Unless the fake narrative that you’re creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth. I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me.”

Earle responded directly to Cooper, writing in the TikTok video’s comments section, “OK on it!!” Earle has yet to publicly share details of the apparent conflict, however.

- Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and director David Frankel reveal that Anna Wintour filmed on the sequel for one day.

- "Unfortunately, she jumped her cue, so she’s a little out of focus in the one shot that we did," Frankel says.

- Hathaway recalls, "It was so fun. She does not get enough credit for what a spectacular sense of humor she has."

*The Devil Wears Prada 2** *crew accomplished a feat more difficult than securing an unpublished *Harry Potter* manuscript: Getting *Vogue* head (and Miranda Priestly inspiration) Anna Wintour on set to film a cameo that ultimately didn't make it into the final film.

"It was so fun. She does not get enough credit for what a spectacular sense of humor she has," returning star Anne Hathaway tells ** in a joint interview with fellow star Meryl Streep, who plays Priestly, the menacing leader of the fictional *Runway* magazine inspired by *Prada* book author Lauren Weisberger's time working under Wintour.

Hathaway recalls Wintour coming to set for a day, during which she "hung out for a little bit, her wonderful daughter came with her, and we had a little fun, shot a little bit, it was great!"

Streep — who also recently learned she is genetically related to Wintour — confirms, "Yeah, it was fun" working with her relative on set that day.

Though EW previously exclusively confirmed that Wintour would not appear in the highly anticipated sequel, returning director David Frankel elaborates in another new interview why the fashion powerhouse's scene didn't end up in the final cut.

"We actually explicitly didn’t want Anna to be in the movie because it’s a parallel world. It was like, well, what is *Vogue* and who is Anna Wintour in a world where there’s a *Runway* and Miranda Priestly?" Frankel says. "It felt like it was too meta and would be distracting."

He also relays what happened with Wintour during production, revealing that she "did come to the set one day, and we did one take with her on camera" and captured footage.

"Unfortunately, she jumped her cue, so she’s a little out of focus in the one shot that we did. I didn’t want to call for take two; I didn’t know if she had the patience for that!" Frankel remembers. "Twenty years ago, we were not welcomed in that [fashion] world, and over the two decades, all the actors have become friends with Anna, and it’s great to be able to collaborate with *Vogue*."

'Devil Wears Prada 2' director explains why Adrian Grenier cameo didn't happen

Frankel's remarks come five years after he previously told EW that he had a chilling experience with Wintour following the release of the first film in 2006, which went on to gross $327 million at the global box office and earned two Oscar nominations — one for Streep and the other for costume designer Patricia Field, who didn't return for the sequel.

"I remember her daughter nudging her through the screening, like, 'They got that right!' A couple years later, I was at a tennis tournament in Miami…seated behind her, and when it was over, I made the effort to introduce myself. 'I'm David Frankel, the director of *The Devil Wears Prada*,' and [she took her] hand out of [my handshake]!" Frankel said at the time, after observing that fashion designers were also afraid to incur Wintour's wrath if their clothing appeared in the project.

Alongside Wintour's nixed cameo, EW also exclusively learned that *Euphoria* actress Sydney Sweeney filmed a three-minute cameo that would've appeared near the beginning of the film during a scene with Emily Blunt, though it was ultimately removed as a "creative decision," a source tells us.

*The Devil Wears Prada 2* is in theaters May 1.

The countdown to the 2026 World Cup is on! Each day ahead of the tournament’s return to North America, Yahoo Sports will highlight an insight or moment that showcases just how grand the world’s biggest sporting spectacle has become — even beyond the expanded field of this year’s global event.

Eric Wynalda’s first World Cup experience ended in embarrassment after 52 minutes.

Czechoslovakia's ฤฝubomรญr Moravฤรญk baited the U.S. forward after continually stepping on Wynalda’s foot throughout their match in the 1990 World Cup. Wynalda, tired of the gamesmanship, shoved Moravฤรญk, which was spotted by Kurt Rรถthlisberger, who brandished a red card.

Four years later, Wynalda would get a second chance and redeem himself in front of 73,000 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome.

That opportunity almost never came to fruition for Wynalda, who made 106 appearances for the U.S. The night before the team’s opening match of the 1994 World Cup against Switzerland, he felt a rash begin to develop on his body. He took medicine to treat it, but did not get a good night's sleep (the O.J. Simpson White Bronco chase being that same night didn’t help anyone’s ability to get plentiful rest).

A switch from Powerade to Gatorade by the team caused Wynalda to break out in hives. He was so fatigued from the lack of sleep and the allergic reaction that he was subbed out in the 57th minute coming off the field with swollen, red hands.

But just before halftime, Wynalda made his mark on the match.

His 45th minute goal would help the U.S. start the 1994 World Cup off with a 1-1 draw.

"It definitely was the best goal of my life," Wynalda said later. "You really have to hit that shot perfectly for it to work, and that's what happened."

Wynalda wasn't even the main free-kick taker on the squad. That was Claudia Reyna's job, but a hurt hamstring ruled him out for the tournament. Tab Ramos could have been the one, but he told Wynalda that the 28-yard distance was out of his range.

“In that minute, it seemed to me as if there was no one else in the stadium. I just swung my foot at the ball and it flew in,” Wynalda said. “The noise that greeted me was deafening.”

The U.S would go on and beat Colombia and lose to Romania in its final two group stage matches. The four points were good enough to advance to the knockout round where they would fall to eventual champions Brazil, 1-0.

Wynalda's goal in 1994 was one of the 34 he scored for the U.S. When he retired in 2000, he was the all-time leading scorer for the U.S. men's team. His record would stand for eight years before being passed by Landon Donovan.

(AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes) ()

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s been 126 years since cricket — the second most watched sport in the world — made an appearance in the Olympics. That’s about to change in 2028.

On Wednesday, shovels hit the ground in Pomona, a city in the eastern edge of Los Angeles County, where construction has begun for a 10,000-plus capacity premier cricket stadium. It will serve as the venue for men’s and women’s games.

The stadium is being erected in the Fairplex fairgrounds as the home of the Los Angeles Knight Riders, a professional Major League Cricket team owned by the Mumbai-based Knight Riders Sports. The company is co-led by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The groundbreaking kicked off with a “bhumi pujan,” a ritual rooted in Hindu tradition, which often marks the start of a construction project as a way of seeking divine blessings and forgiveness for disturbing the earth.

Cricket is already woven into the cultural fabric of U.S. diaspora communities from all over the world, particularly South Asia, where it is followed with religious fervor. In the U.S., cricket fans, coaches and players view a dedicated cricket stadium in a major sports market like Southern California, as a huge milestone.

Investors hope momentum from local major league cricket games carries into the Olympics, taking the sport to a mainstream American sports audience. Many also believe that this newfound visibility will help carve out promising pathways for homegrown cricketing talent.

Olympics could make cricket mainstream in America

Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Sports, said establishing the Knight Riders Cricket Field is just the first step in getting the average American fan engaged. Mysore is convinced of the sport's commercial potential.

“People who watch the Olympics are not necessarily cricket fans.,” Mysore said. “When cricket becomes an Olympic sport, that takes interest and awareness to the next level.”

Knight Riders Sports operates multiple teams worldwide — in India, the Caribbean and the United Arab Emirates. But the Pomona venue is the only stadium they’ve built from scratch, Mysore said. Only three international-level cricket stadiums operate in the U.S. — in Texas, Florida and North Carolina. The sport is also played in other multi-purpose venues like the Oakland Coliseum.

LA is one of a handful of dedicated US cricket venues

Peter Della Penna, who has been covering cricket in the U.S. for the past two decades, says this is the first time an international cricket event in the U.S. will have a dedicated venue. In 2024, a high-capacity modular stadium was specifically built for the T20 World Cup in New York, but was dismantled after the event.

But during the LA Olympics, it would not be ideal to hold the cricket matches in another part of the country, he said.

“Cricket players would want to be in the Olympic Village, walk shoulder to shoulder with U.S. track and field athletes, swimmers and basketball players,” he said. “Cricketers in America have not had such prominence and U.S. cricket really needs that.”

Cricket has had a long, rich history in the U.S. The first international cricket match was played between the U.S. and Canada in 1844 at St. George’s Cricket Club in Manhattan, New York. Canada beat the U.S. by a slim margin before thousands of spectators, with large wagers placed on the event.

Debjit Lahiri, a Wisconsin-based cricket historian, said Olympic cricket was last played in 1900 in Paris where the Summer Games were a chaotic sideshow to the World’s Fair, featuring events like live pigeon shooting. Cricket never made it to the 1904 Olympic Games held in St. Louis.

Cricket in Los Angeles began around 1900 with local clubs. It gained prominence in the 1930s with the Hollywood Cricket Club formed by expat British actors, drawing big names like Errol Flynn, Laurence Olivier, Cary Grant and Boris Karloff. The club’s original home at Griffith Park was torn down to build an equestrian center for the 1984 Olympics. It moved to Woodley Park in the San Fernando Valley, where several aspiring cricketers learned to play the game, including Ayan Desai, a 22-year-old rising star who hopes to play for Team USA in 2028.

Desai, whose family owns a motel near the future Knight Riders stadium, said he was thrilled to hear about a world-class cricket venue almost in his backyard.

“To play the Olympics is special, but to do it in front of your home crowd, in your home city, that would be amazing,” he said.

Desai, a left-arm fast bowler, plays for the Seattle Orcas major league team and has competed in four international games as part of the U.S. national team.

“This is what we’ve needed to grow cricket in Los Angeles,” he said.

Questions remain about cricket's sustainability

Antigua native Reggie Benjamin, a former U.S. cricketer and longtime coach based in Los Angeles, remains skeptical.

“I’m happy to see cricket get an opportunity to showcase itself here,” he said. “But if you can’t get average Americans to come to a game and sit in the stands for three hours, or if you can’t get American kids to play cricket, the game is not going to grow.”

Benjamin said he’s been disappointed to see homegrown talent and grassroots efforts cast aside as players from other countries are brought in to play for major league teams and the national team. He also points to poor management that has beset U.S. cricket and raised concerns about cricket’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics.

Last year, those challenges came to a head as USA Cricket, a nonprofit tasked with developing the sport in the United States, filed for federal bankruptcy protection after ending a contract with American Cricket Enterprises, the group that created Major League Cricket. Since then, the International Cricket Council, which oversees cricket worldwide, has been temporarily running the U.S. national cricket team. ACE also filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination of the contract.

Yet big investors like Mysore are optimistic that a cooperative relationship is possible between USA Cricket and Major League Cricket. Both feed off each other, he said. National selectors often look to major league teams for star players.

“A strong national team is important because it keeps interest alive in the sport,” he said.

Walter Marquez, CEO of the Fairplex, says he believes in cricket’s future. A diehard baseball fan, Marquez said he’s been boning up on cricket recently. He now knows what a “yorker” means, and he sees real potential for the game to grow.

“For those who don’t know cricket, given an opportunity, they will learn what an exciting game it is, especially the T20 format,” said Marquez, referring to the truncated format the Olympics will use in 2028.

“We like home runs. We love the long ball. Cricket has a lot of those. American sports fans just don’t know they’re cricket fans yet.”

- The project, however, is reportedly still alive.

The *Clueless* sequel series is now network-less.

A year after news broke that Peacock was developing a *Clueless* follow-up with Alicia Silverstone, the streamer has opted to not move forward with the project, EW has confirmed.

According to *Variety*, which first reported the news, CBS Studios and Paramount will shop the series elsewhere and expect to garner further interest.

Silverstone has been attached to executive produce and reprise her role of Cher Horowitz from the iconic 1995 film. Original writer-director Amy Heckerling is also set to produce, while *Gossip Girl* creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are on board as the show's writers.

"I think we're going to try really hard. The goal is to make it honor what everyone loves about *Clueless* and Cher," Silverstone said last year. "So we want to honor that, but also bring something fresh and new to it. I'm confident that we'll be able to do that, but we're in baby stages right now."

Loosely adapted from the Jane Austen novel *Emma*, *Clueless* starred Silverstone as Cher, a stylishly popular Beverly Hills teenager. The peak-'90s cast also included Brittany Murphy, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto, and Paul Rudd.

While Dash and Faison went on to star in the sitcom adaptation of the same name, which ran from 1996 to 1999, Rachel Blanchard stepped in for Silverstone as Cher.

In 2019, plans were announced for an "Adderall-fueled" reboot that focused on Cher's best friend Dionne (previously played by Dash) rising to the top of the high school hierarchy after the disappearance of Cher. But that project never came to fruition.

Patrick Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, has paid tribute to her brother days after his sudden death, sharing a video from the actor with his fans.

Zappa took to social media on Wednesday to post a clip Muldoon shared with their family just before he died.

"This was the last video my brother sent to our constant family group chat — from [Saturday] night at [the] LACMA opening," she wrote alongside the clip.

In the video, Muldoon shows Domenico Zampieri's 1622 work *Saint Ignatius of Loyola's Vision of Christ and God the Father at La Storta *on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. "It's a beautiful painting," Muldoon says in the clip, before doing his Loyola High School football chant. "I think that's what he was thinking in the picture, actually."

In the post's caption, Zappa revealed that Muldoon "loved" Saint Ignatius because "he was kind of the cool guy, good time guy who was still able to become a saint."

"As always, he jokes... and yet profoundly brings all things into one moment — the jokester, the artist, the football player, and the intensely spiritually connected, Jesuit-educated, incredible being that is Patrick Muldoon," Zappa wrote. "My best friend. The best brother/son/uncle anyone could ever possibly ask for."

Zappa wrote that she would have "so much more to share" with her followers. "I know he loves this earthly realm and all he created within it," she wrote, "including all of the love and light his spirit is now receiving through all of you."

"We will eventually have details on when and where we will celebrate him. But now we are still processing," she added. "I continue to speak of him in present tense. Because his spirit is all around me. He just changed forms๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’š."

Muldoon died at age 57 on Sunday, and while details surrounding his death were not immediately available, his manager provided the date of his death to *Variety*, and Zappa told TMZ that the star was found unconscious in a bathroom where he was showering inside his Beverly Hills home.

Zappa said her sibling went to shower shortly after having coffee with his girlfriend, who later found him on the floor of the bathroom when she went to check on him.

It’s been a strange year for Jill Zarin. The former Real Housewives of New York star kicked things off with a racially-tinged rant about Bad Bunny that quickly sparked a backlash she still hasn’t recovered from. Now, things have taken another turn. She and her boyfriend, Gary Brody, are wrapped up in a lawsuit over a piece of pickleball equipment.

According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, a man named Noah Springer is suing Jill, Gary, and GNG Enterprises. He claims he helped develop a machine called the Go-No-Go, which allows pickleball players to test their paddles before games to ensure they meet standardized regulations.

In the lawsuit, Noah alleges that he invested $500,000 in 2022 in exchange for a 25% stake in Pickle Pro Labs, LLC, along with a promised monthly salary of $5,000. He says those paychecks stopped around 2024, right around the time Jill and Gary entered the picture.

Noah says that around that same time, the RHONY alum and her boyfriend founded GNG Enterprises and started selling the Go-No-Go machine. They’re allegedly marketing the device as their own, even though it was “conceived, engineered, researched, funded, and developed by Pickle Pro Labs.”

Noah is seeking an injunction to stop GNG Enterprises from selling the Go-No-Go machine, as well as damages. Meanwhile, GNG has already been named the official paddle deflection testing device across several major pickleball organizations. According to Noah, all of that business could have been going to Pickle Pro.

Jill and Gary haven’t publicly commented on this latest mess. Keep your eyes peeled for more details as this unfolds in court.

The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
