The NFL offseason is in full swing. Every team can dream of having a big campaign and going on the postseason and winning the Super Bowl ... for now.

Reality will set in when training camp starts and certain franchises will see that they face a monumental task to play .500 football, let alone keep playing after the 17-game regular season ends.

There are some teams that feel like locks to gain the playoffs and try to win the Super Bowl. Then, there are others where it isn't exactly a stretch to say they will be going home after the 18th week of the regular season.

What teams won't be making the playoffs?

New York Jets

Geno Smith.

This should come as no surprise, especially with the Jets banking on Geno Smith at quarterback. Could he be the first starter to be in charge of an offense for different teams that wind up with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft in back-to-back seasons?

Miami Dolphins

Valtteri Bottas of Finland and Cadillac F1 Team poses for a photo with Miami Dolphins players during previews ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Miami.

It would take much more than a Miami Miracle for the Dolphins to compete with the Patriots and Bills. And there will not be three playoff teams coming out of the AFC East.

Cleveland Browns

Next.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Aaron Rodgers retirement tour will last 17 games, 18 weeks and not more than that.

Tennessee Titans

All Titans fans can hope for is that Cam Ward improves off his rookie season. However, expecting a massive jump is unrealistic. Winning six games or so would be an accomplishment. Robert Saleh-Brian Daboll exacta is worrisome.

Indianapolis Colts

Were the Colts under Daniel Jones the real Indy team or the one that fell apart when their quarterback was injured. Will go along with somewhere in the middle but they aren't going to top the Jaguars and Texans.

Las Vegas Raiders

Fernando Mendoza needs to survive his rookie season. The Raiders need to protect the No. 1 overall pick and hope to somewhat improve. They aren't about to gain the playoffs after last season's debacle.

New York Giants

Jaxson Dart is the media darling and finds his way into headlines everywhere. He's not going to take this team to the playoffs the way it is structured. John Harbaugh has a big task remodeling a crumbled Big Blue franchise.

Dallas Cowboys

Time for everyone in Cowboys Nation to start yelping. Sorry, this is the same team, next year and it isn't going to improve enough to threaten for a playoff spot.

Minnesota Vikings

Kyler Murray of the Minnesota Vikings participates in a drill during an OTA workout at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center on May 27, 2026 in Eagan, Minnesota.

The Vikings will continue to pay the price for letting Sam Darnold go after drafting JJ McCarthy. Kyler Murray doesn't exactly bring a playoff resume with him.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints should get better but being better than average is not good enough to play in the postseason.

Atlanta Falcons

Tua Tagovailoa #1 of the Atlanta Falcons runs through drills during OTA's at IBM Performance Field on May 27, 2026 in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

The Falcons have gone from Kirk Cousins to Tua Tagovailoa in the QB room with Michael Penix Jr. Will they learn?

Arizona Cardinals

Get serious.

- Emily Blunt recalled Tuesday on* Jimmy Kimmel Live* that Meryl Streep danced to "Mamma Mia" at her 2010 wedding to John Krasinski.

- Streep, Blunt's costar in *The Devil Wears Prada* and its sequel, starred in *Mamma Mia* and *Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again*.

- Blunt said Streep hadn't wanted to dance but she did for the sake of the couple's mothers.

Consider it a perk of being a movie star: actress Emily Blunt recalls seeing Meryl Streep, her costar in *The Devil Wears Prada*, dance the night away to a song that she's very much associated with.

It happened when a group of about 60 people at Blunt's 2010 wedding to actor John Krasinski took a boat out on Italy's Lake Como. Streep was there because not only had she worked with Blunt in their fashionable 2006 film, but Krasinski had played her beloved future son-in-law in the 2009 movie *It's Complicated*.

"[The DJ on the boat] would sing the songs in half-Italian, half-English," Blunt told the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live when she visited Tuesday to promote her new movie *Disclosure Day*. "And he started playing 'Mamma Mia,' and my mom and John's mom started ominously dancing towards Meryl."

Streep starred in the 2008 big-screen version of *Mamma Mia!*, and, like *The Devil Wears Prada*, the title proved to be the first of two installments. In 2010, she wouldn't have yet appeared in *Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again*, which came in 2018. But she was already known for the film.

The *Only Murders in the Building *star politely moved with the moms.

"She indulged them," Blunt told Kimmel, who'd also attended the nuptials. "But I said to her afterwards, I was like, 'What did you feel when they came for you?' and she went, 'I wanted to hurl myself into the lake.'"

Still, Blunt added, "She did it! We have pictures of them all dancing together. It was amazing."

Kimmel recalled that many of the people there hadn't met Streep before, so this was their introduction to the three-time Oscar winner. (Two at the time.)

Oddly enough, the wedding location where Streep's now famous dancing took place, was actually George Clooney's estate, and it was also a setting in *The Devil Wears Prada 2*.

When Clooney was asked about the property appearing in the trailer for the blockbuster, he seemed unaware.

"Is it really? Oh man, I've made it," he joked to *Access Hollywood* before the movie hit theaters.

More seriously, he added, "The house holds a special place in my heart, because I love going there" and called Blunt a "dear, dear, dear, dear friend."

Taylor Swift knows kindness never goes out of style.

The “Wildest Dreams” singer mailed handwritten letters and signed guitars to an 8-year-old fan and her next-door neighbor after a wholesome interaction between them involving her music went viral on social media last month.

In the TikTok, 8-year-old Madeline can be seen asking her musician neighbor Ethan Hayes, 26, to please play a Taylor Swift song by throwing a paper airplane over their shared fence. After he reads the note, Ethan proceeds to perform Swift’s 2008 hit “Love Story” as Madeline sings along.

The post immediately took off online, amassing almost half a million likes since it was first posted on April 23 and even ending up on Swift’s radar. Ethan confirmed to PEOPLE that the 14-time Grammy winner’s team personally reached out to him on social media after it was published.

“They're like, ‘Hey, Taylor saw your video. We want to send you something. Don't tell anyone until it gets there,’” he recalled. “I was expecting maybe a signed poster or something. And then she sent us guitars, which is insane.”

Speaking with PEOPLE, Madeline’s stepfather Russell explained that the family never expected the adorable moment to go viral.

“There was really no expectation at all going into it,” he said. “It was just a cute moment she just wanted to share with her friends. Next thing you know, we wake up in the morning and there's like 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 [views]. And we're like, ‘Oh wow.’”

Ethan, a full-time musician, added that the clip has also helped promote him as an artist, too. “I've gained thousands of followers, which is always really great," he said. "We haven't seen one single negative comment, which I think is really, really rare, just a really wholesome situation that I'm really grateful to be a part of.”

When asked by the outlet if she’d like to say anything to Swift, Madeline replied, “Thank you.”

Swift has a history of sending heartwarming notes and gifts to her biggest fans, previously penning a letter to a fan upon completing his PhD and mailing a surprise package full of goodies to a young fan.

Last year, the* Life of a Showgirl *star made headlines after her *The End of an Era *docuseries showcased her distributing bonus checks to her entire team while on her record-breaking Eras Tour. Edge rusher Micah Parsons is not likely to participate in training camp when the Packers start daily preseason workouts, head coach Matt LaFleur said after the team's Wednesday OTA practice.

Parsons is five months into his recovery from a torn ACL and sparked debate about his rapid progress in a social media post of his workouts in sand.

Green Bay lost Parsons at Denver on December 14 in a non-contact injury. He broke through pass protection on the right side of the Broncos' line and fell to the turf as his left knee buckled two steps shy of sacking Denver's Bo Nix.

Parsons, who has 65 career sacks in five NFL campaigns, turned 27 on Tuesday as the Packers began organized team activities. Parsons and running back Josh Jacobs, who was taken into custody because of an alleged domestic violence incident but released without being formally charged, were the only two veterans not present for the Packers.

LaFleur said tight end Tucker Kraft, also returning from an ACL tear, is ahead of Parsons' pace due to the timing of his injury in early November.

He could be back before or during training camp.

Right tackle Zach Tom, who suffered a torn patella tendon in the Dec. 14 loss to the Broncos, likely won't return to on-field workouts until training camp.

The six-time PGA Tour winner split with veteran caddie Lance Bennett following a missed cut at the PGA Championship. Homa is expected to have Peter Pappageorge, a friend who registered as his caddie on Wednesday, on the bag this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge, the PGA Tour stop at Fort Worth, Texas.

Bennett, who caddied for Tiger Woods in 2024 before he was sidelined by injury, joined Homa nearly a year ago at the RBC Canadian Open after Homa parted ways with Bill Harke. Prior to that, Homa had a decade-long partnership with Joe Greiner, one of his childhood best friends. [They remain close to this day.] Greiner got a win last year at the RBC Heritage, filling in for Justin Thomas, bounced from doing a short stint with Collin Morikawa to settling in this season with Akshay Bhatia, who won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

Bennett had been on the bag for Michael Thorbjornsen prior to Homa, before Thorbjornsen hired J.J. Jakovac. Bennett has caddied in the past for Matt Kuchar, Sungjae Im and Davis Riley, among others, as well as on the LPGA Tour.

Homa, 35, enters the week No. 74 in the FedEx Cup standings. He’s made nine cuts in 13 starts this season, including one top 10 at the Masters. Homa, who ascended as high as No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking, enters the week at No. 123.

One day after the 64-year-old comedian got candid with fans on Substack about her recent cosmetic surgery, O'Donnell is making herself even more vulnerable by sharing side-by-side photos from before and after her facelift.

In an Instagram post captioned "THE B4 & AFTER," O'Donnell shared two snaps of her face on Wednesday. She also encouraged followers to read her essay on Substack, which divulges the story behind the procedure.

On Tuesday, O'Donnell announced on Instagram that she underwent a lower deep plane facelift and, in her Substack post, explained how she arrived at the decision despite years of publicly condemning plastic surgery.

*The View* alum began by explaining that she had "assigned myself as head of all women who would never" get a facelift and spoke often about being "morally" opposed to the procedure because she felt it was "a betrayal" of "feminism," "aging," and "our team of women worldwide."

But she began to soften her position after losing 50 pounds. O'Donnell wrote that the dramatic weight loss resulted in additional wrinkles on her face.

Along with her own moral oppositions, O'Donnell recounted facing pushback from her teenage child, Clay. "Young women look up to you," O'Donnell recalls Clay saying. "I wouldn't be able to respect you if you did it."

In her post, O'Donnell acknowledged that this is something that resonated with her — which brought her to an important realization.

"If I'm teaching Clay anything," O'Donnell wrote on Substack, "it can't be that my body belongs to an idea either. Even a good idea. Even feminism. Because that's still not freedom — that's just a different authority telling you what you're allowed to do with your own face."

Th*e **League of Their Own* star has voiced skepticism over the need for cosmetic surgery and frequently said she never felt the need to undergo such procedures herself. In a 2021 interview with *Vulture*, O'Donnell argued that avoiding surgery had benefitted her career.

"I always knew as an actress that when I got into my 60s, I would be playing the Geraldine Page roles," she said. "I wasn't going to have plastic surgery. I was going to look the way a woman my age should look, and I always thought that would be a blessing in my older age. I would get to play the Colleen Dewhurst roles. That has turned out to be true. O'Donnell, who got the facelift in January, wrote in her essay that she was shocked when no one seemed to notice.

She added, "I went through a full existential feminist crisis, had my face and neck surgically altered, and the result is… zippo. Which honestly is the best possible outcome."

Kevin Hart is defending the comedian behind one of the most shocking jokes at his Netflix roast.

In an interview on "The Breakfast Club," the "Jumanji" star, 46, addressed the backlash some of the participants in Netflix's "Roast of Kevin Hart" have faced for their material. In particular, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe has been criticized for a joke about how George Floyd, who was killed by former police officer Derek Chauvin in 2020, is "looking up at us all, laughing so hard that he can't breathe."

Hart said on "The Breakfast Club" that while Hinchcliffe's joke about Floyd wasn't "tasteful," he "wasn't shocked," adding that Hinchcliffe "arguably had the best set, or one of the best sets," of the roast.

Kevin Hart attends The Roast of Kevin Hart on May 10, 2026, in Inglewood, California.

"Tony told a joke," he said. "It wasn't a tasteful joke to us. We didn't like it. OK. ... We move on. I don't understand why we stand on a hill, and it becomes this big thing ... It doesn't have to be that. It literally is, either you're a fan of this level of content or you're not. And if you're not a fan, then you don't watch it."

Chelsea Handler, The Rock lead Hart burns at 'Roast of Kevin Hart'

Pointing to other shocking jokes that were made at the roast, including one from Pete Davidson about the killing of Charlie Kirk, Hart also said, "Would I tell those jokes? No. But do I get why they're being told? Yes. I'm not looking at Pete crazy. I'm not looking at Tony crazy. I know what you're going to do. I know your style of comedy."

Terrence Floyd, George Floyd's brother, previously told "The Breakfast Club" host Loren LoRosa that Hart should have brought "Will Smith energy" to the roast by pushing back on Hinchcliffe's joke "right then and there."

But in his "Breakfast Club" interview, Hart defended himself by saying there was "nothing" he could have done in the moment. He also emphasized that he isn't the one who made the joke, arguing he shouldn't be blamed for it.

"It's a live production," Hart said. "I'm not compromising the live production for a reaction of what? What do you want me to do? I'm going to drag him off? You want me to fight afterwards? That's not what I agreed to do."

Netflix's "Roast of Kevin Hart" was hosted by Shane Gillis, who also drew criticism for some of his material, including jokes about lynching and about the death of comedian Sheryl Underwood's husband. Underwood was in the roast's lineup.

Chelsea Handler, another one of the participants in the roast, criticized the "gross" and "disgusting" jokes made at the event while appearing on the "Funny Knowing You" podcast. She criticized Gillis and Hinchcliffe, in particular.

"People are like, 'It's a roast. You go for it,'" she said. "I'm like, 'You can go for it without being gross.'"

Nikki Glaser, who has delivered a number of shocking jokes at comedy roasts over the years but did not participate in the Hart event, has also weighed in. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the American Music Awards, Glaser said she "loved watching" the roast but noted there was "some stuff that I didn't love," without naming names.

"I don't believe that jokes can't be made that are racist jokes, ironically racist jokes," she told ET. "The problem is not that it's racist. It's that ... if you really want to do a joke, you've got to find a way to make it make sense."
