The FCC has reportedly concluded its review of Bad Bunny's historic Super Bowl halftime performance. Their verdict comes after the agency received calls to investigate the show for any potential violations.

FCC reaches final decision on Bad Bunny's show

According to the New York Post, Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show recently underwent review by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for potentially violating its guidelines regarding "indecent material" and using offensive language on air. However, following a thorough evaluation, the agency has reportedly cleared the performance of any violation.

A source with direct knowledge of the FCC's verdict on the performance said that some of the lyrics from Bad Bunny's songs could have been flagged for profanity if they weren't censored during the live performance. FCC initially had scruples about the show since it was sung entirely in Spanish.

However, after translating the lyrics, they couldn't find any substantial grounds for action. An insider familiar with the FCC investigation shared that any potentially indecent references or explicit language were removed or changed during the performance.

The verdict comes after U.S. Congressman Randy Fine called for the FCC to investigate Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance, calling it "disgusting." In a February 9 X post, he wrote, "Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous."

As per the recent New York Post report, the inquiry has since concluded. The FCC has reportedly "shelved any additional scrutiny barring further evidence."

Bad Bunny made history this year, becoming the first-ever solo Latino artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. The performance went on to become the fourth most-watched Super Bowl halftime show of all time.

The Grammy-winning artist performed the show entirely in Spanish, proudly celebrating his Puerto Rican heritage. Throughout the show, he promoted messages of unity, such as "The only thing more powerful than hate is love."

In it, he mentioned that the future king and queen were hurt by the Sussex couple's Oprah Winfrey interview.

Harry and Markle, claiming that they feel "trapped" in the royal family, have reportedly left William and Middleton "wounded." Furthermore, the Princess of Wales also felt "deeply let down" over the "Suits" alum revealing a private exchange. "It compounded, in Catherine's mind, a key difference between her and Meghan, who she no longer believed she could trust," Myers mentioned in the book.

According to the outlet, he also added a quote from a source who shared Middleton's viewpoint. They claimed that the mother of three reportedly wanted to move with "the utmost of caution" with matters related to the duke and his wife. According to the insider, the 44-year-old allegedly felt that her brother-in-law and his spouse "weren't to be trusted."

After Markle and Harry left the royal palace, they moved to California and settled into a new life. Moreover, things got worse between them and the royal family after the couple revealed shocking details about the monarchy. However, since last year, the "Spare" author has reportedly been trying to mend relationships. He even met his father, King Charles, during his last visit to the UK.

Gabi Gamberg, the musician behind the indie project Daffo, took to social media on February 12 with a claim that's since gone viral: Taylor Swift's new "Opalite" music video closely mirrors Daffo's April 2025 video.

The side-by-side comparisons Gabi shared highlight what they see as more than coincidence. Both videos center on a retro-style infomercial featuring a spray product that promises to fix life's problems. Daffo's "Quick Fix" video promotes a spray of the same name, while Swift's "Opalite" clip markets an "Opalite" spray described as a relationship-saving potion.

The similarities stack up from there. Both artists appear holding the product in promotional-style shots. Each video cuts to a dimly lit table scene with the spray bottle in frame. Both even show the singer sitting on a couch, clicking off a television that's playing the commercial. Gabi, who posted the comparison on Instagram, didn't hold back on their feelings about what they're seeing.

"Obviously, she was able to expand on the idea in ways that I couldn't because she has resources and money that I don't necessarily have access to," Gabi shared in the now-deleted video. "But more or less, it looks like a complete rip to me, of the concept at least. It does not feel good. She's going to make a lot of money off of an idea that probably wasn't hers," Gabi added.

The response to Gabi Gamberg's accusation has been anything but one-sided. While some praise their courage in calling out a major industry figure, others suggest the concept isn't as unique as they claim.

Neither Swift's representatives nor Gabi have commented further since media outlets' initial outreach.
