Instagram Jenna Dewan’s husband, Steve Kazee, is not here for the narrative that she and her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, have “chemistry” off the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars .
Steve hopped into the comments of an Instagram Stephanie Tleiji ( @stephwithdadeets ) posted, where she broke down speculation about Jen and Val happening in the Dancing With the Stars fandom. Steve’s response? “They don’t have chemistry. They have too much chemistry. They have chemistry in the wrong places. Make up your minds. Y’all really got too much time on your hands. 😂 the spouses are unbothered stay hatin.”
Meanwhile, judge Carrie Ann Inaba also hopped into the comments to clear things up, writing “Dancers are physical beings. This is like the way we say hello. Don’t try to turn it into something it is not. Have some respect for both Jenna and Val and their partners please.”
Val actually spoke about how he builds chemistry with his partners back in September, explaining to Us Weekly , “I don’t seek to necessarily create certain chemistry so that a product can look a certain way. To me, chemistry is camaraderie first and foremost. Are you friends? Are you willing to go and work hard together, stress together and be uncomfortable together?”
He added, “You’re bound to have chemistry with that person because you’re like, ‘You’re showing up for this and for me,’ because the show is an extension of what we love. So when our partners are showing up, that’s when we’re building that camaraderie and chemistry. Everything else gets built on top of that. For me, chemistry is defined by respect — mutual respect — and commitment to a common goal. To me, that’s chemistry.”
