Vice President Kamala Harris' husband, Douglas Emhoff, has been by her side for more than a decade. Second gentleman Emhoff, who usually goes by Doug, began dating Harris in 2013 and married the then-California attorney general a year later. Harris previously told PEOPLE that two of the things she loves most about Emhoff are his sense of humor and patience, especially on stressful days. "We're talking about the free world," she said in October 2020.
